Marietas Islands tours are designed exclusively for couples and small groups of up to 18 people. Other hiking tours are limited to only 6 people.

The Marietas Islands tour lasts about 4 hours. We depart from La Cruz de Huanacaxtle marina (we can help with transportation). The tour includes entrance to the hidden beach, Nopalera Beach. We serve ceviche, water and soda and also include complimentary digital pictures taken with a GoPro 11. We also provide life jackets, snorkels and fins!

Life Experience!

We booked a private tour with Javier for 4 adults and 3 children… 2 of which were infants! It was a great experience to see the beautiful national park and learn about the protected species of birds. Because we had so many young kids, we opted not to snorkel, but did venture off the boat onto a beach. Javier was a hero making sure all of the kids were safe in the water - we’re so grateful! We had the best time being on the water.

Additionally, Javier’s partner was so friendly and made the most delicious ceviche. We all had multiple servings. And this is coming from someone who is picky and doesn’t like any fishy fishy!

Highly recommend his tour and appreciated their flexibility working with our family!

Fun Excursion for our Family of 6

We had a wonderful excursion to the Marietas Islands with Javier! It was the perfect outing for our group of 6 adults. The beaches were beautiful and the snorkeling was awesome. Javier is personable, knowledgeable and captures all the special scenic moments with his camera. The ceviche we were served on the return trip was the best we had on our trip!

If you want a guide who knows the ins and outs of the Marietas Islands, Javier is your guy. Not only is he an amazing guide but he is also a professional photographer and got us the most amazing shots at the beach. Can’t say enough good things about Javier and this tour. WhatsApp is the best way to communicate with him. We even got an added bonus of humpback whales and spotter dolphins.

Best private tour out there!!

Javier was the best personal guide we could have asked for! He was not only mindful of taking care of such a unique but also of our comfortability levels. He took personal pictures of my boyfriend and I on the secret cave beach. We had fresh ceviche on the boat after arriving that made the rest of the trip. Extremely reasonable pricing for a private tour! We definitely recommend Javier and also ask him about his personal photography!

Amazing experience!

Javier is amazing - he accommodated a last-minute booking and gave us a truly unique experience. He went above and beyond all around, and his knowledge put as at ease when the tide was high. We were the first people in the secret beach and had it to ourselves for a few minutes before the masses arrived. I highly recommend this private, customized experience over the huge tour groups; we couldn't have been happier with our decision to go with Javier!

Such a great personal experience. Please do yourself a favor and make friends with Javier! Skip tour busses ans crowds and have a blast. We did the zip lines in Edenva and waterfall hike. You will love this experience!

If you are looking for an adventure that is personal, comfortable, and very exciting, look no more!

My husband and I set sail (figuratively) to experience all that Puerto Vallarta had to offer. Like many of you, we were overwhelmed by the amount of experiences sold online. With only a 7 day vacation, we had to prioritize which experiences we really wanted to partake in, and we both agreed that an excrusion to the Marietas islands with entrance to the hidden beach was a must! Now for those who are great swimmers like my husband, this is a no brainer. For me, a less confident swimmer, the barrier between me and this once-in-a-lifetime experience was a tight entrance to the hidden beach and a ~200 meters swim from boat to beach. Vallarta adventures wouldn't accommodate assistance if needed. I even posted here seeking your opinions on whether I should book anyway and many suggested swimming was a prerequisite. That's when I was reccommended Off The Grid. Not only did Javier and the boat captain pull a few tricks and secrets only those whove hired them know that made the adventure a great one, we also ran into a swirm of dolphins swimming along side the boat as well as mating turtles (WHAT?!). We ate ceviche on the boat and Javier took complementary pictures for us with his gopro so we'd protect our phones and cameras. We snorkled by the islands and hung out on another iskand beach.
I will forever have this memory and I am so thankful to Javier for it.
If you want to experience something special, don't go with the bulk experience with a big crowd. Choose this private tour. You will not be disappointed.
I hope this helps anyone out there who is in the same predicament I was once in.
