Very secure compound
Everything was clean and worked perfect. Nice pool. Easy access to beach. The only thing that would make this better would be an upgrade of mattress, not terrible but could be better.

Sayulita secret
This was my second time staying in the Villas del Palmar complex and was every bit as awesome as the first. You really can't beat the location. The property is expertly managed by Kristy who took very good care of us during our week there. The smart TV in the room supported Netflix and Youtube, and the Internet was plenty fast for us to keep up on emails and Facebook. More importantly there is a beach umbrella and two awesome beach chairs with insulated zippered sections for taking ice & beer to the beach. It's really everything you need for the beach, assuming you make it past the beautiful pool area. :)
Two notes for my fellow travelers:
1) Like other places you do have to use a wire transfer to reserve it which is not comfortable for us credit card-carrying North Americans. But if you can get past that mental hurdle, the value is well worth it.
2) Like many places in Sayulita, the P-trap has not been used in the plumbing so odorous gasses come up the pipes. As long as you keep the cover over the shower drain and keep the bathroom door shut, you'll be OK. You can also get some copal incense in town to help.
The A/C worked like a charm but we didn't need it--the ceiling fan kept us plenty cool at night. The concrete construction kept the place cool even during the hottest hours of the day.

Loved this Condo
We stayed at Casa Turqueza for two weeks and loved every minute of it. It is perfect for two people. We loved the outdoor space and the condo is so well maintained. Cristy is amazing. She was always available by phone and does a fantastic job at managing the property. The location is great. Right on the beach and still walking distance to everything. Five stars!

Great beach/pool access
First, I have to say that Cristy, the manager is awesome. My issues with CasaKanelo had only to do with personal preference. Since the property is open air, it is not possible to completely close the doors and windows. This was not a problem for temperature purposes-the breezes were great, but was an issue with noise and cigarette smoke. Every night, cigarette smoke from surrounding properties would drift in and stay despite the fans being on. I am highly sensitive, so this might not bother other people. The noise at night was an issue at times. Again, not the manager's fault, just a preference issue.
I LOVED the pool area right on the beach. We sat on their beach chairs overlooking the ocean for hours. We could easily watch our teen boys surfing without ever leaving the pool area.
Loved the outdoor kitchen/eating areas/patios. Bedrooms are small but adequate. Shower runs out of hot water a little quickly, especially with 4 near-adults.
Loved the proximity to the main part of the city without being right in the tourist area.

Great time !
We stayed one month during summer 2015. The house was ideal for our two families: Nice, clean, quiet and secure. The child just adore the pool and the beach nearby. The location was perfect, we had everything by walk. Cristy was so nice and careful, Thanks again !

Quiet and private, and right on the beach!
My kids and I stayed in the upstairs part of Casa Kanelo for 4 nights, and it was a great choice. Cristy was there to meet us and available for any questions we had. The location is very good -- close to everything, but nice and quiet. We never would've known there were other houses in the complex if we hadn't seen them! The pool was fantastic for adults and kids, as there's a shallow kids part that connects (through a swim-under bridge!) to the bigger pool. And the beach is right there -- just great!

Our home away from home
My family had the great fortune of spending 2 months living at Casa Kanelo recently. We were very happy with the accommodation. The location couldn't be better, being ocean front with a pool and just a short walk from the beach was perfect for our young kids. The open living takes some getting used to, but once we did we really enjoyed being outside all the time. Cristy was a great and helpful host who took great care of us and even got us a deal on some local activities. We can't wait to return.
