Description

Villa Colina in Sayulita, Mexico is the perfect family vacation home in Sayulita's best neighborhood! Only 2 blocks to the beach and town center in Sayulita's most sought after vacation rental neighborhood!

Villa Colina in Sayulita went through a massive remodel by Sayulita's finest architect. Almost every square inch of the property was remodeled along with new tropical gardens and brand new furnishings and art - some of it is antique too. It is now an incredible vacation property for the family or group that wants beauty, comfort, old Mexico charm with modern amenities, and immediate access to beach and town.

Villa Colina is an attractive and charming house. There are 3 bedrooms, TV room with couch beds, and 4 bathrooms in 2 separate buildings, which are about 10 feet apart:

The front building, or main house: Includes a king master bedroom with an outdoor shower and a private 2-person bathtub in a small garden. There is also a convertible TV room/bedroom with 2 single couch beds and its own bathroom.

The back building, or tower: The first floor has a king suite with amazing views of the ocean. Up the stairs to the second floor is a queen bedroom and private kitchenette, and stairs to a loft with an additional queen bed.

Numerous amenities are provided in this uniquely charming property. A heated, ozone-treated pool with wading area for the kids in a delightful garden setting with awesome ocean views will be yours. This sunny outdoor site with palapa living area will be a major gathering spot for everyone.

Inside the house, you will find every convenience. Here is a partial list of the amenities:

  • Whole house filtered water
  • WiFi
  • LCD TVs
  • A/C throughout the entire house
  • Two person outdoor tub in private garden
  • Amazing attention to detail throughout

A slice of Heaven.
During the second week of October we stayed at both Casas Sonadora and Colina in Sayulita. We rented both houses (which are separated by a tall wall as Colina is on the downside of the hill) for a family celebration. We cannot speak highly enough of our stay. Casa Sonadora is slightly larger and that house was the house we used for all our gatherings. Our third night we used a catering service for the celebration dinner, Plush Catering, and we are still talking about that meal. Later in the week we used the chef the property manager recommended and when we are not talking about our celebratory dinner we are talking about chef Selena’s wonderful meal.

The rooms are very comfortable. Decorated with great Mexican folk art and furniture. The beds were very comfortable and loads of pillows. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The bedrooms at Casa Colina are very private two had outside entrances. Water at the houses were not an issue. There is internet but occasionally you had to reset the router. The TVs are smart tvs off the routers. Bring your hdmi cable if you want to stream the football games from your computer. Both houses had daily housekeeping services, and the pools were cleaned every other day. Many iguanas live in the trees that abound the properties and entertained us daily. Huge iguanas. The services we received from Maria and Daisy were very much appreciated. Ernesto, the property manager, ensured that we had everything that we needed. We ended up asking him daily for items such as a golf cart to rent (Roy’s Golf Carts), or taxis, or the chef, and he was very responsive and arranged everything we asked for. And that was ten adults that were asking quite a bit, including many questions on where and how to get to the golf courses.

We were worried about Covid and traveling. Our plans were made pre-covid and we decided that we would go anyway. As in any place in the United States, we saw a mixture of the degree people go to prevent the spread of Covid. The grocery store we used only allowed 4 people in at a time, took your temperature, made you wash your hands, and when you checked out, they disinfected all the money before it went into their till. The same at Don Pedro’s restaurant. By the way the only negative? The cash machine at Don Pedros that dispenses U.S. dollars. They charge a little over 10 percent on the amount you are withdrawing which we did not realize. We thought the fee was in pesos and ended up paying over 50 dollars for a 400 dollar withdrawal. Very expensive lesson. Use the cash machine in the grocery store. Much better. On the streets you will see both masked and unmasked people. Same for the beach. I suggest finding smaller beaches that are less populated than the main beach but you will need to pack in your own snacks etc.

We had such a great time that two days after we were back home a friend booked their stay there. Thank you everyone for our great stay at the Casas Sonadora and Colina. We will be back.

Beautiful property
We had a wonderful stay in Sayulita at Villa Colina! The house was beautiful and in the perfect location. The pool was beautiful. We called Ernesto prior to our stay and were able to book transportation from the PV airport. Overall, Ernesto was responsive to our requests for a cook and transportation. We had some difficulties arranging a golf cart and we did ask for information on a bartender and masseuse without response, which was a little disappointing. However, all in all, we had a great stay and would recommend this house to anyone!

Sensational Villa
A truly lovely vacation villa, presented in impeccable style. Beautiful architectural and decorative details at every turn. A great little ocean view over a lovely splash pool and beautiful gardens. The house tiles were delicious at every spot. Every corner was delightfully clean. The staff and helpers were right at hand at every request. Located on a small hill above town along with 6-8 other villas, it had complete peace and privacy. The two block paved and flowered walking path down to the center of town and the beach was a fabulous amenity. This was a sensational villa from beginning to end!

Perfecto!
This property is amazing! The location is perfect and it is only a 5 minute walk to town or the beach. You can see both surf breaks from the pool area which makes surf checks really easy. The pool area is really nice for lounging and relaxing. The kitchen is clean and efficient and has all the essentials. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and nicely furnished and very comfortable. The staff, including the property manager is very personable and accommodating to ensure a nice stay. I would highly recommend this property for a large family or group of friends. We hope to be back soon!

lovely
Sayulita is great. There is a lot of traffic but everyone is polite, takes turns, and NO honking! Golf carts are available to rent but parking is hard, so we walked everywhere and felt completely safe. The shops are varied from low to extremely high end as well as many beach vendors with beautiful things. The night life is colorful and fun. The many restaurants vary from street-side tables to traditional, and we never had anything but delicious food. Villa Colina sleeps eight, is beautiful, incredible views, has a very nice staff though a little Spanish is helpful or gestures will work. We would all return.

My wife, Joan, and I, Dennis, live most of the time in an area frequently referred to as the northern tip of the wine country in California, just above Napa Valley. I recently sold my Internet Marketing Company and my wife is starting to wind down her successful art business. We are semi-retired now, but I still manage to keep busy with all my real estate projects, investments and family. We travel quite a bit together and with our two married daughters and their husbands and their growing families. One of our daughters is a successful Interior Architect in Los Angles who is married to an entrepreneur who is the majority owner and CEO of a major software company. The other daughter is an occupational therapist, whose husband is a Director of Photography. We are an active group. We all love to ski, hike, scuba dive, surf, bike, boat, ride motorcycles, and hang out together in beautiful environments. We are recent grandparents with both daughters and are thoroughly enjoying this delightful new addition to our lives.
