Welcome to Casa Compadres in Sayulita, a luxury vacation villa located just two blocks (less than 3-minute walk) from the rarely crowded north-end beach and “left” surf break. The view from the villa is magnificent, gazing west over swaying palm fronds to the blue Pacific Ocean as well as south over the village (beautifully lighted at night), and also to the jungles and Monkey Mountain in the east.

This 3BR/4BA house is perfectly designed for three couples (three private master-bedrooms) each with A/C or a family looking to enjoy an incredible Sayulita vacation. Acclaimed architect Jose Enrique del Valle designed Casa Compadres with both “form and function” in mind allowing for indoor/outdoor living, four individual terraces, sweeping views, as well as ingenious architectural creativity.

Upon entering the antique-designed front door, guests are amazed at the sloping stairway with three large hanging baskets, lighting the way to the two master bedrooms on the top floor. Both bedrooms open up to individual terraces with great ocean/village views. The “Egyptian” bedroom even has a small outdoor shower on its terrace. The “Moroccan” bedroom is tastefully decorated, romantic and charming.

From this top floor, guests can continue up the staircase to the coffee/margarita terrace where they can gaze all the way to Sayulita Point and even watch dolphins and breeching whales in-season.

The kitchen, dining, and open air living-room make up the off-street level of Casa Compadres and have been tastefully furnished with hand-selected artwork, lighting, and furnishings from throughout Mexico. A large digitally controlled refrigerator and fully stocked kitchen ensure guests the ability to create fabulous meals from ingredients purchased in the local markets.

Another tile staircase descends through a sitting room to the pool and garden area complete with waterfalls, lounge chairs, and tropical plants and palm trees. Adjoining this pool area is the “Stone” bedroom appropriately named for the beautiful wall of stonework. Of course, this bedroom also has a private marble-tiled bathroom with an indoor/outdoor shower.

Due to the location of Casa Compadres, a rental car is not necessary.  Maid service is provided every other day (3X/week) except for Sundays.

Full house water purification system for your convenience.

Casa Compadres is presented as one of the best vacation rental villas in Sayulita and we trust your expectations will be exceeded! Please use the contact form to get in touch with any questions and to request a reservation.

I wanted to leave a comment on how wonderful your Sayulita home is, providing everyone in our party with the perfect holiday. We think about Mexico most every day, and cannot wait until the end of January. We booked two weeks this year. Casa Compradres is our ideal holiday home. For three couples, the rooms are quiet and private, the common areas are spacious and comfortable. The house is located just out of town - quiet, and yet just blocks from anything town provides. Perched at the base of the hill, we can view the ocean, and stroll the few blocks to the beach, or town, in minutes. We've had friends stay in town (too noisy), and further from town (too far, and sometimes too uphill), and realize that Casa Compadres has an ideal location. The house is kept clean and supplied by a friendly and respectful staff. Thank you for sharing your home again with us this year. We look forward to spending two weeks at our Sayulita home away from home. John

Thank you, Sandy!
We had a wonderful experience at your home! The location was perfect: close enough to walk to the center plaza and yet situated high up to maintain a gorgeous view! The backyard w/ the pool was the perfect respite when we wanted to chill in the sun and do nothing; the margarita terrace we used as the morning coffee and reading terrace. Every time I glanced out onto my bedroom's upper balcony--I felt the urge to pinch myself.  Plus, we each could maintain our personal privacy, which was really important to us. A tasteful interior design and intriguing architectural design had us all feeling comfortable and refined.  With gratitude, on behalf of Nicole, Marcy & Mark, and Kari

We just came back from staying at this beautiful home. Words cannot do it justice we have not stopped thinking about our magnificent time spent there. All the recommendations on places to go and food to try where spot on by Sandy. We did use the private chef 2x and he made are experience wonderful with showing me how to do a home made family recipe. I would highly recommend Oscar the chef and the Alley cat tours. We also enjoyed the pool every evening and playing games on the top deck with the beautiful views of the mountains and the ocean.

Perfect spot in Sayulita
We loved our stay at Casa Compadres. Having the quiet back yard and pool was perfect for afternoons when the beach started to get busy. Also, having a whole house water filtration system was a luxury during our stay that we were super grateful to have. Easy walk to town, restaurants and the beach. Owners and property managers were friendly and responsive. I'd absolutely stay here again.

This place was AWESOME! I came with my parents, my partner and my sister for Christmas & my birthday. We couldn't have stayed in a better place. My parents struggled with the hill, but once we decided to rent a golf cart, it was smooth sailing. We all had plenty of space to do our own thing if we wanted to. My partner and I are planning on living in Sayulita part time, and each time we go, we ache more and more to be part-time residents. My favorite bathroom was on the main level with the waterfall shower. I will have a shower like that someday :-) You will not regret staying here! My only bit of advice is that this wouldn't be a place to stay if you have walking limitations. There are lots of levels. When you walk in the house, the main floor has a living room, bathroom and kitchen. Below that level is one bedroom and the pool. A few stairs below that is the lower peaceful garden/yard with hammock and patio. Above the main level are two more floors. The bedroom floor with an awesome balcony and above that is the margarita deck with an amazing view and lots of sun. WE loved our stay here and I'm sure you will too!!!!

Loved the pool!
Great location. We rented a golf cart to get up the hill and loved it. Great communication from the owner. The pool "beach" was our favorite. We used the BBQ to cook some meals as well and the rooftop deck was a great feature there. All in all we would recommend!

Perfect in every way!
My family and I spent 9 nights at Casa Compadres and loved every minute of it. Sandy was very responsive and recommended airport transportation & golf cart rental which proved to both be excellent. The house itself is fantastic. Wonderful view, great kitchen, dining and living areas. Beautiful, open and spacious... a place for everyone to relax. We loved the location as well. Very close to a quiet beach and a quick walk to the center of town. (but far enough away to be quiet at night) We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This house is amazing! It has everything you would want or need from a rental house. Clean from top to bottom. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had a blast lounging are the pool and really loved the open wall living room. Safety was a concern of mine before going down to Sayulita, but i felt very safe in the house and the town the entire time. The beach is maybe a five minute walk as is town. Sandy is also very helpful. She gave us a ton of tips and recommendation on where to eat. She even had the staff ship my ipod back to me when i left it there! This review will not do the house or town justice. It was a magical getaway that i hope to do at least once a year. You must get some tacos from the stand across from the drunk tree. On the same street of the oxxo. and Rolies is amazing for breakfast, although i heard it may have close down =(

Fabulous home Casa compadres
I recommend coming to this beautiful town. Staying at Casa Compadres is a must. It is an amazing house (very clean), the kitchen had everthing I needed to make a meal. But who has time to cook I was busy enjoying the pool and lounging in the sun. The margarita deck is a great place to have the morning coffee or afternoon drink ot has the view of the ocean and town. When you get hungry just walk into town (only a 5 minutes slow paced walk) and enjoy all the lovely Resturants. My friends, family and I will continue coming back year after year. The owner is helpful, & friendly, She gives you suggestions on what Resturant to visit, what sites to see.

Come to the best little secret in Mexico and treat yourself to Casa Compadres!
I've had the pleasure of staying at Casa Compadres several times. Why several, because once you do you'll want to come again and again. It's up and away but still close walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shopping and all that Sayulita has to offer.

The casa is more than comfortable. The layout is great with a wonderful fully stocked kitchen, plenty of open bright space, bedrooms are separated (good beds) and great little escape areas to read, sunbath or look at the deep blue sea. The decor is traditional Mexican but with lots of class and at the same time oh so comfy. My family, friends and I have had sooo much fun here. Try it, you'll like it!

My Fabulous Casa Compadres Experience
Hi, I am Tara and I want to share my experience of Casa Compadres with anyone thinking of booking their vacation here. The first thing I would say is, “Do it, I highly recommend it”! I have spent two vacations here now and I can’t imagine booking anywhere else. Like a lot of people, I have fallen in love with Sayulita. When I was first doing my research on accommodations, I came across Casa Compadres. I was trying to organize a getaway from rainy Vancouver, BC with my boyfriend, and a group of friends. First off I noticed right away how reasonable the prices per night were especially compared to a lot of other places that were not offering the same amount of amenities. Once the group agreed on the place, booking with the owner was pretty effortless. She was friendly, responded quickly to my email inquiries, and the payment process was trustworthy and efficient.
As you may know, trying to please a group can have its own challenges as people’s expectations of accommodations can vary. What I found is Casa Compadres met everyone’s needs. My brother in law was pleased with the WII FII access so he could monitor his business. My boyfriend was happy to have access to the iPod friendly stereo. My sister insisted on having a private pool and filtered water, and finally me, I’m about the fantasy vacation, I fell in love with the house décor, and mind blowing views of the sunsets, and palm trees.
Since I organized the trip I became the house staff liaison. Even though I barely speak Spanish it was easy to connect with the house cleaners, site manager and landscaper. They are all very friendly, professional, and were responsive to any household issues that arose. Not only is this place gorgeous, it is secure. Access to a safe and a coded front door lock really put everyone at ease and helps put you in vacation mode right away.
We all work hard in our day to day lives and when we go on a vacation we deserve to enjoy ourselves. Casa Compadres is absolutely the ultimate vacation getaway home. Its amenities, reliable staff and gorgeous décor will enable you to have the vacation you desire and deserve.

Casa Compadres was Amazing.
Just returned from an all too short visit to Sayulita and our stay at Casa Compadres. Both were phenomenal. Casa Compadres was amazing, very rich in character and artistically decorated, yet extremely comfortable and inviting. We were in Sayulita for our third and last daughter's wedding. My husband and I and our two older daughters with their husbands stayed at Casa Compadres. We had plenty of room as well as privacy, each with our own suites. The common areas were open and bright. We were the envy of all the wedding guests who came down to Sayulita. We definitely want to come back. Thanks Sandy for sharing your beautiful home.
