Description

Casa De Las Hijas in Sayulita (pronouned LAS EEEHAS) means "House of the Daughters". We have two daughters that loved Sayulita so much that we couldnt help but name this beautiful casita after them.

Casa De Las hijas is a new casita located on the south side of town at the end of a quiet street. With friendly neighbors and a tranquil, isolated location away from traffic, the casita is still only a short 5 minute walk to Sayulita's town plaza and a few more minutes walk to the beach. The bungalow itself is a roomy studio arrangement with a King and Single bed. It has a large, clean bathroom with new fixtures and huge open space shower. The fully loaded kitchen which features new appliances, including refrigerator, stove, oven, blender and microwave and is stocked with utensiles, dishes and authentic mexican glassware for your smoothies and margaritas. The living room sitting area includes comfy couches, a 26" flat screen for DVD player, also available are speakers for use with mp3 player or i-phone.  Casa De Las Hijas always provides free, reliable wireless DSL.

Enjoy the lush tropical greenery at the entrance or venture to the patio off the main living quaters. Out back, the bungalow features a quaint, stone tiled patio that is cool and shaded by huge tree. Looking to catch some sun?  Follow the back staircase to the rooftop sun deck, complete with lounge chairs, patio table and ornate, wooden raililngs. Enjoy the jungle and mountain views from your personal and private rooftop retreat.

Cute and Quiet and Perfect
Casa de las hijas is wonderful for a couple! It's a pleasant walk to and from town - away from the major activity but not too far. The owner was exceptionally accommodating - we booked very last minute. His directions were super helpful and he was happy to solve any problem when we arrived. The sun deck on the roof is a great spot to overlook the area. The house was clean when we arrived and cleaned mid-week. I would definitely stay again!

Wonderful little Casa
My Husband and I spent a week at Casa De La Hijas in early February and had a wonderful experience. Angel was very responsive and easy to work with as far as booking our stay, answering questions, and recommendations for things to do around Sayulita.
The Casa was perfect for a nice quiet getaway and had everything we needed. We were there over the busy festival weekend and while it was noisy in town we slept peacefully back at the Casa. The town square was a 5 minute walk and it was just a few more minutes to the beach.
We loved the traditional Mexican decorations of the Casa, the nice big shower and well equipped kitchen were a bonus.
The one recommendation we have is to bring good footwear and a small flashlight or headlamp. The dirt road leading to and from the Casa is quite steep, uneven, and dark at night.
Overall the Casa was just what we were looking for. It was quiet, private, clean, and felt very safe. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Fantastic Spot!
Just returned from our 2 week stay at Casa de las Hijas, and have only good things to say about this casa! We have been to Sayulita many times, and have stayed in many different hotels, casitas and casas, and we will certainly return to Casa de las Hijas.
The location is great - far enough away from the center of town that it is peaceful and quiet - you cannot even hear the loud music from the square here - and close enough that walking everywhere is quick and easy. I'm surprised at some of the other reviews mentioning noise. We were here for 2 weeks (even during New Years) and were not woken up by noise once.
The kitchen has everything you might need, the bathroom is large with plenty of hot water, and the bed is huge. And then there is the rooftop patio (the main reason I booked this casa) where the sun shines almost all day long (although there is partial shade there too, I prefer the sun). I spent many hours up there, and am wishing I was there now!
Angel is a pleasure to deal with and was quick to answer any questions we had. All around a great trip! I definitely recommend this casa.

A secure and pleasant hideaway
We (couple) booked the Casa for a quiet getaway focused on recharging and downtime. The space was most conducive to this- comfortable, well appointed and cozy. I also felt a good level of security and privacy.
Angel and Felix were great to work with- the cleaners too. The bathroom is excellent, as is the kitchen. Bed is comfortable and BIG!
Earplugs recommended since the dogs and roosters are noisy at night/early morning. A short walk into town/beach with lots of good juices and cafes on the way.
We would stay here again without hesitation- good value and a nice location that allows peace and quiet in Sayulita.

Lovely place but noisy neighbors
The Great (would be 5 stars): The casa is really charming, both inside and out. We enjoyed the spacious bathroom with all of the cool tile-work, and used the heck out of the kitchen. The upstairs deck was really nice for having a cup of coffee in the morning (get yourself some Nayarit-grown coffee...it's amazing!). We loved watching all the interesting birds and the resident iguana up in the tree next to the house! The bed was comfortable. The wifi worked well. Overall, the casa was a good value for what we found available at the time.

The Not-So-Great (the reason we gave 3 stars): Noise. This is a traditional Mexican neighborhood so there are dogs and roosters aplenty who sound off all night long. Earplugs are a really good idea. The real kicker, noise-wise, was the celebrating that went on (this was later in January, not during Christmas or New Year's) multiple nights in the surrounding houses. Really loud mariachi music, one night until after 1 am, and once it was amplified, with singing that went on and on. So while it could be a really peaceful spot, and often was during the day time, at night it was not.

Caveat: If you stay in town, you're guaranteed to be up until the bars close, so this location is certainly not noisier than town. We just had hoped it would be quiet and peaceful, with the convenience of town nearby, and that was not the case. We'll be staying either north (generally quieter) or out of town next time.

Response from Owner/Manager on 01-17-2016
This was definitely an exception! We stay there often and it is quiet and peaceful as the other guests have related in their reviews. There might have been more celebrating w the New Year's revelry (the town does enjoy its celebrations!) and the locals will have their fiestas but for the most part this is a very quiet area. Maybe we can offer you a discount if you try us again.

Our own private retreat
My husband and I were lucky to find this gem on a last minute vacation to Sayulita. I am a flight attendant and my husband is a pilot, so normally when we travel we don't have the luxury of spending days to find accomadations. We truly feel we scored with Casa de las Hijas! The casita was a perfect amount of space from town. We never heard the late night music. Only 5 min from town, tops! The casita itself was clean, spacious and comfortable. The air conditioning was a huge bonus! Angel the owner is beyond helpful and will go above and beyond to make sure you arrive there without complications. There is a hill to get to the casita, totally doable. Full kitchen too !!! My husband who is rather finicky, he said that every time we come to Sayulita, this is the place where we should stay. We will be back! Whether we had 3 months to choose a place or 2 days in our case, Casita De Las Hijas is for us.

Bright, Spacious and Peaceful
We came across Casa De Las Hijas on SayulitaLife when looking for a place to stay in Sayultia during the first two weeks of March. We thought we would give it a try since we wanted to stay in a stand-alone house rather than a hotel or condo. This lovely home exceeded our expectations. Our experience was perfect right from the time we contacted Angel who responded to our inquiry immediately. The photos of the house do not do it justice. It is spacious, bright, airy and spotless. The kingsize bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge - with great water pressure in the large shower. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook a meal. The rooftop deck is lovely. When we weren't on the beach, we were sitting on the roof deck, having our morning coffee and watching the sunrise, or having an evening cocktail, watching the fading evening light, and later on, the moonrise. From the roof, we could watch all sorts of birds and even spotted a few iquanas in the trees. The house is up a small hill, in a quiet neighbourhood and is a very short walk to the centre of the town and beach. Lupita and Felix, the caretakers, were very kind and attentive. Angel is such a gracious host. This property is well worth what we paid for - and then some! Thank you!! We will be back!!

Peaceful and private
I stayed in Casita de las Hijas for 3 weeks in February. It's tucked back on a short street on a small hill, so is very peaceful and private, despite being so close to town and the beach. I have not seen any other place there that make the same claim. There's lots of space, ample kitchen and bathroom, and very comfortable king size bed. I used the roof deck and back patio a lot. Owner Angel and property manager Felix promptly handled any requests I had.

A Perfect Blend!
This casita is a perfect blend of genuine Mexican charm and relaxing comfort. We were in town for an extended stay, and we really wanted a comfortable place that had all the stuff we needed and wanted- and Casa de las Hijas did not disappoint. It had the kitchen we needed to prepare and cook our own food (stove, oven, sink, full size fridge) plus a huge sunning patio and a giant, really clean bathroom (we've stayed in other places that had a very questionable toilet situation, and this bathroom was really clean and fully functioning).

It was super close to the beach and to town square, and walking down to get fresh food every morning and coming back to cook breakfast, followed by drinks and sunning on the roof was our daily routine.

Sayulita is a magic blend of hospitality, comfort, safety and tropical get-a-way without being too touristy- and this casita offers the same delights! It's comfortable, safe, fun while not making us feel like dorky tourists. We already have our 2015 stay booked!
