Great hosts, location and bungalows!
This vacation rental was great. Our bungalow had a huge outdoor kitchen with a sitting area. The living area is spacious. A/C in the bedroom was appreciated. The neighborhood is peaceful. Close to the beach. Chairs, umbrellas, surfboards, and boogie boards included. Quick walk to anything you need. The Wifi wasn't working well at the time which was the only negative thing. The hosts are nice and available on site.

10/10 Recommend - AMAZING!
Macondo Bungalows are out of this world amazing. I operate 6 vacation rentals in New Mexico, and when I travel, I always feel assured I’m doing everything I can to make experiences as positive as possible - until this place. I took notes! I will be implementing several things in my own rentals. Now for a little about the space - If you read the description and it sounds good, you should be fine :) it is entirely open-air (quite chilly at night, but I think it was unseasonably cold - and I’m complaining about 63-degree weather, so really just ignore that). Entirely open air also means you will see little sugar ants and the occasional mosquito. It can also get momentarily loud when neighbors party, so if you’re a very light sleeper bring ear plugs. I sleep like a tank, the bed was amazing and comfortable, and the bungalow itself was absolutely magical - made it really hard to even want to go to the beach (which, by the way, the hosts supply you with free umbrellas, chairs and towels to use!!). 10 out of 10, will definitely be back :)

Great place!!
We stayed a month with Charlie and Melanie and enjoyed our stay a lot. It is located in a great area, just outside (by minutes, walking) of the center - so that your far enough away from the louder center area of Sayulita but close enough that you can quickly walk and be apart of it. Charlie and Melanie are usually around and very helpful. They have a very cute and quiet dog and cat as well that made us feel like we were at home.

Great!
So many positives, close to everything, short walk to town centre,on-site owners from Canada.
Clean and well kept accommodations, everything you need for beach: umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards, surf boards no charge. Cannot say enough good about how wonderful our stay at Macondo, wish we could have stayed longer! We will return ASAP!

Good place to stay
We stayed in the Traveler Palm room for 3 nights. The property is beautiful with old charm, open air style (screens on windows, though) and nestled in town on the North side. About 2 long blocks to the beach. They offer beach chairs, umbrella, towels which is really nice. Charlie and Melanie are welcoming and helpful. They also own a restaurant in town with the best tortilla soup! (Restaurant is Tierra Viva). This room worked for us for 3 nights but for any longer, we would like more room for the two of us. Also a more comfortable bed for a longer stay. Overall, it’s a great place to stay and we recommend it!

Beautiful apartment, great location
We loved hanging out in our open air apartment. A little bit quieter part of town, but still just a couple of minutes from the beach. Charlie and Melanie are great hosts, we never wanted for anything.
A wee caveat to light sleepers - I reccomend bringing a sleep mask and ear plugs. There were a few nights where there was a loud party that made drifting off challenging. But the nights that I drifted off to the ocean were magical.

Outstanding Holiday!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Sayulita. Our accommodations at Charlie & Melanie’s Macondo Bungalow couldn’t have been any better. It is centrally located to anywhere you want to go. Breakfast at Tierra Viva was the best.

Thank you for your hospitality. I am already working on a return trip!
