Your expansive, private and secure compound includes two colonial style casas with more than 3,950 square feet of living space, 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, 2 full size kitchens, 2 dining areas and 2 living areas all within 2,650 square feet of lush gardens and grounds, a lagoon style, solar heated, saltwater swimming pool (chemical free) with shallow splash area for kiddies and loads of outdoor space for relaxing, dining and sun seeking.  Casa Mar and Casita Luna may be easily and seamlessly adjoined at the 1st and 3rd levels for one extensive Casa when camaraderie is desired or left separate for more restful, private periods.

The Location:

Casa Mar del Sur is located along the Avenida del Palmar in Sayulita’s more relaxed North Beach neighborhood of private homes and small resorts with access to expansive, sun-drenched beaches, running trails and great walks. Just a short 6 minute stroll to town, Casa Mar del Sur boasts the easiest, safest and flattest walk to and from the vibrant nightlife, bustling restaurants and busy shopping boutiques of Centro. Morning coffee, homemade delicious muffins and other wondrous goodies are just footsteps away,

The Grounds:

The 2,650 square foot gardens of Casa Mar del Sur are completely walled for privacy and security. Immerse yourself in the lush garden landscape that surrounds your private solar heated lagoon style pool, spacious sun deck and outdoor dining palapa. Swaying palms, blooming cactus, fragrant frangipani and exotic flowers create a lush tropical backdrop for fun, relaxation and entertaining. Relax in the shaded hammock, dine under the twinkle of star lights or submerse yourself in the cobalt blue water of the pool, there’s nothing this close to the beach that is more rewarding. 

The Casas of Mar del Sur happily provides the following outdoor amenities for our guests; pool and beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, children's beach & pool toys and ice chests.

1st Floor Living Areas:

The first floor living area of Casa Mar del Sur is designed to enhance the open-air lifestyle of the property and includes 2 beautifully decorated living areas, 2 family dining areas, 1 over-sized kitchen, guest bath and entry foyers. Thoughtfully decorated and carefully maintained to include all the conveniences for a family vacation, the 1st floor living area is the heart of this unique vacation home. Easily prepare meals with all the conveniences of home including stainless steel appliances, cookware and serving dishes. Just don’t let the amazing garden and pool views distract you. Enjoy meals in the dining area with seating for 6 or venture outside under the cooling palapa with outdoor grills and additional tableside seating for 6.  Each of the living areas includes comfortable seating with TV, DVD & CD players, Casa Luna has an additional daybed for lingering afternoon naps, landline phone and lending library filled with books, movies and music. WIFI Internet is accessible throughout the house.

2nd Floor Bedrooms:

Each of the bedroom suites on the second floor of Casa Mar are air conditoned corner suites with windows on two walls, terraces and ceiling fans. The master king suite of Casa Luna occupies the entire 2nd floor of the casa. Sleep well in these beautifully decorated rooms filled with traditional Mexican charm, 400 count bed linens, pillow top mattresses and oversized pillows. In Casa Mar, the master king suite includes an ensuite bath, beautiful terrace views with seating and oversized, arched windows for abundant light. The queen suite includes a terrace with views of the gardens and pool, also with over-sized windows and doors. The 3rd suite is set with twin beds that can be converted to a king bed upon request and includes a shared terrace with views of the gardens and pool.

The queen and twin suites share a second floor bath with open-air shower of beautifully decorated and master handcrafted talavera tile and prima vera wood accents that peek at waving palm fronds from the garden below beckoning your return. Each of the bathrooms includes Egyptian cotton bath and hand towels as well as hairdryers.

The second floor bedroom suite in Casa Luna encompasses the entire floor with large, expansive windows that open to the garden and pool below, it’s over-sized king bed surrounded by massive, floor to ceiling bed posts of mesquite wood. Enjoy long, restful nights in this comfortable, air-conditioned private suite with seating area and grand writing desk. Who knows, maybe your next novel will be penned from here, it’s just that amazing. Beautifully decorated with tons of traditional charm, 400 count bed linens, pillow top mattress and oversized pillows.

Your master suite includes an ensuite bath with captivating garden views from the open-air shower, room enough for two and completely hand tiled in traditional Talavera. Enjoy Egyptian cotton bath and hand towels, hair dryer provided for convenience.

3rd Floor Kitchen & Terrace:

Ascend the stairs from the second story of either casa and open the door to what can only be described as Sayulita's best open-air kitchen and dining area. In this truly magnificent space beats the soul of Casa Luna.  You are engulfed in gentle ocean breezes, beautiful views and exceptional amenities found in your own chef style kitchen including a professional cook top station. A massive mesquite dining table sits alongside open vistas that look onto the garden, pool and beyond with seating for 6. This is a luxurious space with writing desk, landline phone, hand-roped hammock and cafe table for 2 to enjoy evening drinks or light meals as the sun sets over Sayulita Point. We challenge you not to prepare a meal here!

4th Floor Rooftop Dining Palapa:

Not to be outdone and adjacent to the kitchen and dining area enjoy a small garden terrace, a beautiful space and your access to the soaring rooftop palapa  Ascend the palapa staircase to make your way to your private Crow's Nest palapa soaring 50' above above the gardens below. The palapa includes comfortable seating for 7, a ceiling fan, hand-knoted hammocks, sweet breezes and unique overhead star light illumination. With sweeping views of the ocean, Sayulita Village and Punta Sayulita it's a perfect spot to start or end your day. 

The Staff:

We love our private staff and trust that you will be provided with same kindness they’ve shown to us over the last 10 years as the property transformed magically into what it is today. The staff will service the property five times during the week which includes your day of arrival and day of depature. The casa, gardens and pool are maintained regularly to ensure an optimal vacation experience.

Our wonderful rental/property manager/concierge team "Sayulita at your Service" will professionally guide you through the reservation/rental/payment process, greet you upon arrival and provide all the necessary information for a carefree and pleasant vacation expericnce at Casa Mar del Sur.
