Leda, a contemporary Italian restaurant set back in Plaza Papelillo in Sayulita, is adding a wood fire pizza oven to their establishment.  “I get a lot of customer requests for pizza, so we decided to add homemade pizza to the menu,” said Paolo Cesaro, owner of Leda.

The wood oven, which produces a pizza with amazing flavor and texture, is made 100% in Guadalajara and is handmade. “Everything is made by hand, nothing is fabricated, and it has wheels so it can easily be moved,” shared Paolo.

The plan is to serve pizza on the dinner menu from the beginning of March until the middle of November, and then use the oven to make fresh bread, such as focaccia, a variety of mouthwatering meats, and several other delicious dishes during the high season. “It hasn’t yet been decided, but we may keep pizza on the menu for lunch during the high season,” shared Paolo.

There will be as many as 10 different pizzas to choose from on the menu, all of which will surely be delicious based on the high quality items on the current menu. Paolo’s personal favorite is the four-cheese (gorgonzola, taleggio, parmesan, and mozzarella) pizza made with a red, tomato sauce.

The wood fire oven will be fired up by the end of August, so make sure to stop by and try this delightful new treat.
