Sayulita Kindergarten Fundraisers

Please join the children of the Sayulita and their parents in a community-based fundraiser that will improve the condition of the Sayulita Kindergarten.

Currently the area in which the young children of Sayulita have to play and learn is not only in major disrepair, but is also dangerous for young children. Their play area consists of cracked and broken cement giving an uneven and dangerous surface, empty cement planters, one swing that is shared by the 100 children, and virtually no shade.

The children and the parents are asking the community to join together to create a better and safer area for our children. They are looking for people that can donate time, building materials, or a monetary donation.

Please contact Gina Esteva Portillo for details about how you can help.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 17---Posada Fundraising Party

The children and parents of the Sayulita community will be holding a grand fund raising event for the Kindergarten on December 17th---A Traditional Posada party!

A traditional Posada commemorates Mary and Joseph's journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of shelter. "Posada" in Spanish, simply means lodging or shelter. Nowadays, the posada has evolved into a social celebration, paying a festive homage to the journey.

The children will begin the festivities with a procession through Sayulita, stopping at local businesses to sing traditional songs. The procession will end in the Sayulita Plaza where a traditional posada fiesta will be taking place.
