Casa Rincon in Punta del Burro is a six-bedroom beachfront compound set within the private, 24/7 gated community of Punta del Burro — the last house on the beach, tucked into a lush palm grove alongside a tropical riverbed. Perfectly positioned between Sayulita (20 minutes north) and Puerto Vallarta (45 minutes south), with Punta Mita just 10 minutes away and the fishing village and marina of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle only 5 minutes down the road, it offers total seclusion without being far from anything.
The ocean is right outside the door — roll out of bed and straight into the water. A gentle, versatile wave breaks directly in front of the house, perfect for beginners, kids, boogie boarders, and seasoned surfers alike, and equally ideal for swimming, floating, and bodysurfing. The legendary Burros break sits just 150 yards away. Surfboards, boogie boards, and kayaks are all on-site and ready to go.
The property includes the main villa and four unique casitas, each with its own character and private patio. The main house has two bedrooms — one with a king bed, one with a tropical hardwood sleigh trundle — both with ocean views, two fireplaces, a library, a grand living and dining room, and a gourmet kitchen. Casa Rinconcito, the Magical Round House, sits closest to the sea with a queen bed and built-in sofa upstairs and a full living, dining, and gourmet kitchen downstairs. Casa Surf has sunset views straight out to the Burros break, with a queen bed, built-in sofa, loft, and kitchenette. Casa Luna is poolside with palm-framed surf views, a king bed, and a kitchenette. Casa Sol sits above Casa Luna with a queen bed, kitchenette, and sweeping ocean views through the palm canopy.
The outdoor spaces are built for long, unhurried evenings. An emerald green pool anchors the property, with a grand palapa alongside fitted with hammocks, a built-in table, marble counter, and a sculpted marble sink — all romantically lit and perfectly set for unforgettable meals by the sea. A brick grill and Italian competition all-weather ping pong table complete the picture.
Luis, the live-in caretaker, is nothing short of a gem. He lives in private quarters on the property and is on hand for nearly anything — building bonfires, cutting fresh coconuts straight from the tree, and making sure every day runs smoothly. His daughter is the full-time housekeeper, and together they can be hired to cook traditional meals that guests consistently call one of the highlights of their entire stay.
The property sits in a landscape that feels alive in every direction: coconut palms, fruit trees, tropical flowering plants, and a peaceful riverbed that draws an extraordinary variety of tropical birds every single day. Bird lovers will be in heaven. The library is stocked with books on local flora, fauna, and birdlife alongside titles on Mexican history, architecture, art, and fiction — plus a large DVD collection for quieter evenings in.
