Description

Vista Hermosa in Sayulita is a four-bedroom luxury villa perched 400 feet above the village in the sought-after Nanzal Hill neighborhood, where unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean, Sayulita Bay, Monkey Mountain, and the surrounding jungle set the scene from virtually every corner of the property. Close enough to enjoy Sayulita's surf, restaurants, bars, and beaches, yet elevated enough to offer real peace and quiet — this is the rare kind of place that gives you both.

Built in traditional Mexican style with arched brick roofs, wrought iron gates, mosaic tile columns, talavera tiles throughout the bathrooms and stairs, parota wood doors and windows, and colorful local art, the home feels rooted in its surroundings. The grounds cover over 1,200 m² of lush, private gardens blooming with roses, hibiscus, plumeria, bougainvillea, birds of paradise, and ginger, plus mango, lime, and coconut trees. The entire property is secured with exterior gates, cameras, and an alarm system.

At the heart of the outdoor space is a 26-foot heated saltwater infinity pool, perfect year-round, day or night. A poolside bar means you can have a drink mixed for you without ever leaving the water, and Vista Hermosa catches every single sunset over the Pacific — after dark, the lights of Sayulita glow below, framed by Monkey Mountain and the edge of the bay. For serious cooks, the stainless steel Blaze Professional Searing Grill — one of a kind in Sayulita — features 4 main burners, 2 side burners, an outdoor sink, and a prep area. A private chef can also be arranged through the property manager.

Inside, the fully equipped kitchen has granite countertops, a gas oven and stovetop, dishwasher, side-by-side fridge/freezer, Keurig, blender, and more — the dining area features a beautiful handcrafted Parota wood table, perfect for meals, games, and gathering with family and friends. The cozy living area offers comfortable seating, a 50-inch smart TV, and large patio doors that open directly to the pool and patio, blending indoor and outdoor living while showcasing the beautiful ocean and jungle views. Each of the four bedrooms has its own personality: the Butterfly Room opens directly to the pool on the ground floor; the Heart Room has a desk and 22" TV upstairs; the Gecko Room features a contemporary en suite with marble counters, double sinks, and a private balcony; and the Casita is a palapa-covered garden cottage with a hammock facing the ocean — more open-air retreat than standard bedroom.

The home runs on purified water throughout, with high-speed mesh WiFi in every room, a free landline for calls to the US and Canada, in-room safes, a security camera system, and gated parking for 2–3 cars. Housekeeping runs three days a week.

Property manager Gustavo (Gus) greets you at check-in, speaks both English and Spanish, and is available for anything you need — from private chef arrangements to local tips. Airport transfers from Puerto Vallarta (~45 min) can be arranged, and golf carts are delivered directly to the property: a 4-seater runs $75/day and a 6-seater $95/day. Would stay again!

We came here with our 3 kids (ages 4, 9 and11), the heated pool was wonderful, the golf cart a fun adventure and very needed and the hosts very accommodating. Would stay again!

Exceeded expectations on every level.

Vista Hermosa was everything we hoped for and more. From start to finish, our experience was truly a 10/10. A few days before our stay, the owners called to connect, and we ended up chatting for over 30 minutes about the home and their favorite recommendations in Sayulita. That personal touch and local insight were such a treat and made us even more excited for our trip.They also made everything seamless by helping us arrange airport transportation through their preferred driver, as well as golf cart rental and delivery. Upon arrival, the property manager met us at the house, gave us a thorough walkthrough, and was an incredible resource throughout our stay.The home itself was absolutely charming and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. The pool was lovely and so comfortable. And then there’s the view—simply breathtaking. Waking up each morning to sweeping views of the beach and Sayulita was unforgettable, and the sunsets felt straight out of a dream.Our entire experience exceeded expectations, and when we return to Sayulita, Vista Hermosa will be our first choice.

Couldn't of asked for much more

My family as well as my sister and niece were there. Eight adults and it was comfortable. We loved the view, our privacy and being able to congregate unlike at a hotel or other setting. The most amazing views

This place has the most amazing views and if you don’t mind being further away from the ocean.The house was supplied with everything you could possibly need. The pool area was lovely and outdoor bathroom was appreciated.The owners were so wonderful to work with and so informative.It would be nice if the golf carts were included in the house rental as they were definitely needed.

Excellent

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is well-appointed and has everything one needs to enjoy your stay. While going up and down the hill in the golf cart does take some driving skill, it was a delight to come up from a busy and hot day at the beach to the breezy, cool deck of the house and relax in the pool. The views of the sunset sky from the deck were phenomenal and we enjoyed family time out there almost til bedtime. While we were there in a hot & humid time of year (July) the ample air conditioners and two fans in every bedroom meant we were cool and comfortable. The only room we could not sleep in was the outdoor bedroom -despite the fan and a/c unit my husband still found it too hot. I bet it’s amazing when the weather is a little cooler. As someone with a back issue and history of two back surgeries I always worry about beds. Every one of the beds was soooo comfortable and the pillows were perfect. I was very grateful for a good night’s sleep each night. We appreciated Gus, the property manager, who provided help and recommendations when Weber needed. The maid service every other day was great and the trusted taxi driver Margarito was a great service.

Something different AMAZING!

If you’re looking for something out of the ordinary, visit this home in Sayulita, Mexico!! Everything was perfect! The home was clean a comfortable. The owners were so helpful and it was nice having a local property manager. Include their golf cart and you’re set!!

Gorgeous views! 50th Birthday Celebration

House was perfect. Views to die for. Pool was amazing. Ted & Brenda were fantastic hosts. Communication was on point. Help refer us to a great driver that shuttled us all to and from airport even stopping at the grocery store to stock up. Gus the caretaker was also full of great information and set up a catered dinner for our arrival date along with a taxi ride to Punta De Mita for dinner one night. Ted also set up a golf cart that was delivered upon arrival. Highly recommend this place!
