Villa Casa Shira

We are a French family, living in the US
We stayed in casa Shira for a week. We highly recommend this place. Ionie, the manager, is responsive and reliable. The casa is ideally located: 5’ walking distance from the center of Sayulita and far enough to be away from the crowd and the noise.
There are two buildings, with one bedroom each, beautifully decorated in the traditional Mexican style. We enjoyed the nice and sunny ocean view terrace surrounded by tropical trees and many birds. The pool was perfect after a long day discovering the city or the beaches. We felt also very safe with everything needed to protect our belongings.

The Villa is located in the north end of hilly Sayulita on a large plot of well tended land treed with huge palms, mango, bamboo, flowering shrubs, and potted plants all of which provide beauty and much privacy.The homes wrap around wide deck allows outdoor living plus relaxing views while enjoying Mexican food.The kitchen is well equipped,(Maria was always available for our extras) living areas very spacious and comfortable, and beds are firm.The sound of the surf lulls one to sleep nightly.
The pool is fresh water (tended by a diligent worker on a regular basis)-pool deck is large with sturdy furniture.Entry to main. pool is through the kiddie pool .
The Casida (a separate furnished building) boasts a large deck with a peek of the ocean.
PROXIMITY-close to the quiet end of the beach, small grocery and spirit stores, pharmacies, highly rated restaurants, bakeries, ice-cream and gelato, golf cart rentals, and the numerous main square businesses--all within walking distance, but for the elderly a cart is more comfortable.My husband and I have come off an extended stay at this oasis and will return again.

It was a little hike up a hill, but that came along with an amazing view of the town. The renting of a golf cart seems to be the best way to zip around town, but you can access everything by walking as well. Sayulita was full of beach restaurants and cute bars. The place has a nice big gate to keep the dogs off the property and it felt quite safe and secluded. The birds can be quite loud early in the morning so I would suggest bringing a nice pair ear plugs. I would certainly look at returning to this very nice home.

Everything was perfect, the service, the safe location and everything we needed was there. I will definitely stay again if I make it to Sayulita again. Highly recommended!

Great location with refreshing pool! Easily walkable to town and beach. Majo is your host and she is very responsive and helpful about everything. House is clean and has everything you will need. Just a few side notes. AC is only in bedrooms, so whole house does not cool down if heat and humidity are high. I got a great price and this was the low season, so most of the year this should not be a problem. Beds are firm.

We really enjoyed our stay here with our two little kids. It’s a wonderful property up on the first hill in town overlooking the ocean in a little distance. It has a nice flow and lots of artisanal goods. The pool with gate was a huge plus, as was the incredibly spacious living room! We all shared the master bedroom which was comfortable. We slept incredibly well, sheltered from the heat. A great place to stay especially if you appreciate someplace that wasn’t purely designed to be an Airbnb but actually has some love and history behind it.

So happy I found this place. Was gorgeous. It was a little hike up a hill, but that came along with an amazing view of the town. We also rented a golf kart for 24 hours which seems to be the best way to zip around town.

Lovely location. Easy walk into town and the beach. A golf cart didn’t seem necessary but there is a short steep walk back to the house.
We were two couples so each had a bedroom and bathroom. The second bedroom (casita) is lovely but outside the main gate. The property and amenities are suitable for four adults max.
The pool is great and there are areas to lounge around it.
The plumbing isn’t great but we managed.
The host is very responsive and issues were resolved quickly.

Amazing spot. Super secluded, private, and quiet, beautiful surroundings.

Very communicative and proactive host offering us help and suggestions.

Flexible and friendly with check in and checkout times.

Would definitely stay again.

Place was super beautiful! Decks for yoga or hanging out any time. Pool located right in the middle and super private. Street noise is not as bad as other areas of Sayulita at night which was good! Would totally go back!
