Sunset Soiree in Sayulita, making your wedding dreams happen. Let me start by saying 'felicidades'!! Whether you're getting engaged, married or just throwing a party, Sayulita is the perfect backdrop for your event. 

Sayulita (pronounced, sah-you-lita): small Mexican pueblo on the Pacfic Coast influenced by surf/SUP, fishing, yoga, color, healthy lifestyle, outdoor living, fresh food & beverages, and walking around barefoot. Because of its' diverse ex-pat population, you and your family/friends will experience cultures from all around the globe. Sayulita's casual, boho, and laid back vibe continue to bring vistors in droves. 

Meet: The ambidrextrous Capricorn (aka Courtney).

Things I LOVE: an old-school planner, baskets, yellow gold, cold Sauvingnon Blanc, the color turquoise, Maybelline Great Lash (in the pink tube), dogs, making lists on paper so there's satisfaction when I cross something off, my husband Storm, avocados, salty wavy hair, sunshine, gold Havianas, comfortable clothes that I can wear for a night out and then also to bed. 

Sunset Soirée started informally in 2012 planning my own wedding here in Sayulita. After I got married, I casually started helping friends' who sought creative input and support with the logistics of their weddings down here and boom! One thing lead to another...

My love for design (renovating a hotel and a house here in Sayulita) coupled with the practical side of planning has given me a well-rounded approach to coordinating weddings and events. My fluency in Spanish and personal relationships with the local vendors proves invaluable when planning your most important event. I'm also laid back & easy going. I aim to keep the stress of planning an event from a far at a minimum. Everything about your event should be FUN! not stressful. I’m meticulously organized, creative, and book a limited number of events per year to ensure each event gets the attention it deserves. 

These aspects are some of what makes me invaluable to my clients. With your guidance, we will create an event that goes as planned with grace and perfection.

Services Provided:

The Scoop – Helping you with everything you need to know about Sayulita on fact-finding trip here prior to the big day. If you cannot make it down before, we can still make it work!! I'll help you with venues, vendors, and the extras you didn't know were options. 

Event Design – Taking your vision, making it come to reality....and then some! My eye for design and knack for getting crafty will help pull together all design elements and visuals of the event: lighting, flowers, details and décor. There won't be a stone unturned and I might even throw a few surprizes in there! 

Budgeting – Determining an accurate budget based on your needs/wants, scheduling of deposits and vendor payments, and keeping you up to speed throughout the entire process. Honesty is the best policy, especially when planning from over 1500 miles away. 

Puppet Master – On-site coordination and management of all aspects of the event; from set up, vendor deliveries, organization of events, cues, logistics, fun! & breakdown.

Sunset Soirée is an all inclusive wedding and event planning service. Meaning I help most clients from start to finish. However, I’m flexible, and all events are different. Maybe you only need help planning a welcome party. Maybe you're after personalized place settings. Maybe you just need a few consultations. I can be involved as much as you want – no matter what your style, event, or budget. My services are as individual as you are!!

Very personable and goes above and beyond!
Courtney was a pleasure to work with. She made arrangements on short notice with all the potential venues that were within our budget. My fiancee and I did not have a rental car and she drove us to all the potential venues, even one out of town to look at. I was so glad I looked at the venues in person vs just relying on pictures on line as I was able to troubleshoot and plan for my family traveling with children. She was very thoughtful and had me complete a thorough questionnaire before meeting with her. She asked us additional questions after our meeting and reviewed my pinterest board :) made me feel like she really wanted to collaborate and honor our wishes for our special day. She even recommended places for us to visit and eat during our visit in Sayulita. She is very personable and laid back and just a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend her and visiting venues and potential accommodations for guests prior to your wedding day if possible!

Above & Beyond at every turn!
We were married in Sayulita in May of 2017. Courtney came highly recommended by our photographer when I asked which wedding planners she loves to work with. We immediately hit it off with Courtney and knew she would take the best care of us throughout the 7 months leading up to our wedding! She exceeded our wildest dreams and put together THE MOST beautiful ceremony and reception I have ever seen. She incorporated personal details and touches for us in every nook and cranny and created incredible focus pieces throughout the venue. In the week leading up to the big day she met me wherever was convenient (Los Muertos or over margaritas!) and worked herself seamlessly into our vacation as to cause little to no stress . On the day of, her team blew us all away with their kind and attentive nature. I cannot recommend Courtney & the team at Sunset Soiree enough.

the BEST wedding planner!
Courtney was absolutely amazing. We trusted her with our big day and she over delivered in every way. She made all our dreams come true and was a blast work with on top of it! All our guests said they were amazed with everything and said it was the best wedding they had ever been too (no joke)!

Her vendor recommendations were spot on. I loved how she gave us choices for some things and just handled the rest. She eliminated all the guess work so it never got too overwhelming.
It allowed us to plan our wedding from a far. It was so stress-free, I was shocked!

Her design aesthetic is tasteful and creative. We agreed on a look/theme and she ran with it. Our jaws dropped when we saw the ceremony and wedding venue.

Lastly, she was honest about costs upfront, which helped us budget accordingly. In the end, we came under budget and were able to splurge on some amazing extras.

We consider Courtney one of our friends and can't wait to go back!

The BEST wedding planner could ask for!
I would give Sunset Soirée 500 stars if I could! Courtney helped me make my wedding week an absolutely dream! She turned all of my inspirations into a more perfect & beautiful wedding (& welcome party) than I could've ever imagined. I am still amazed when I look at pictures of our venue! She is incredibly creative, an amazing coordinator and knows how to throw a party!

Courtney has such great local vendors- every detail from the gorgeous flowers, to the spot on DJ, to the amazing local food was beyond perfect!

Courtney Goes Above and Beyond, and Gets it DONE!
When we decided to have our wedding in Sayulita, we knew we needed to hire a local coordinator to get the job done right, and to actually enjoy our time with family and friends the week of the wedding. After chatting with Courtney, we knew she would be the perfect person to work because she is organized, responsive, and she has invaluable relationships with many of the local businesses in the area.

Over the next year she helped us work through all the decisions on venue, vendors, locations, design, and everything else to set the wedding of our dreams. Always calm and a clear communicator, she provided great options to choose from when we bounced ideas off her. She was always willing to help us find ways to execute our ideas – even when we changed our minds or plans had to change. With the detailed spreadsheets she maintained, we always knew where things stood and could easily iron out the details.

We only visited Sayulita once before our wedding, and during that visit Courtney took the time to show us around and coordinated and came to all the meetings with the vendors. We knew after that trip that Courtney truly loves what she does and we were in the best of hands.

As the wedding day drew near, Courtney made sure that all the outstanding decisions and payments to vendors were made and on schedule. The week of the wedding not only was she finalizing all the design elements, which included her beautiful handmade signs, she was delivering welcome bags to our guests, which they all loved and commented on!

I was referred to the wonderful Courtney through a close friend that works for her, Amy! I am so thankful for that referral because I don't know what I would've done without her. I could trust her. Best Wedding Planner Ever!
Courtney is the best! Hiring her was definitely the best decision we made when planning our wedding. We honestly couldn't have done it without her! She has naturally great style and taste and I felt like I could really trust her because of her eye for design. That I feel like you naturally have or you don't, and she definitely has it! Amazing! Our Dream Wedding!
We hired Courtney to help us plan our destination wedding at Punta Monterrey, just outside of Sayulita. She was amazing from the very beginning and we could not have asked for a better experience. She is incredibly hands on and responsive and is super knowledgeable about the area. She has great relationships with many amazing local vendors- and gave us several options to choose from for each part of our wedding. Everything from the catering to the flowers to the DJ were perfect and she was able to execute everything seamlessly. I was also super impressed with her creativity. All of the details from the flowers, to the table settings to our guest book and overall decor were immaculate and beautifully chosen. The whole event felt magical! Best wedding coordinator EVER!
My sweet Mexican dream wedding was the easiest party in the world to plan. My mission was to have a stress-free wedding. And with the help of Courtney, this was easy to do. From start to finish, Courtney was easy and fun to work with.

Working with someone via Skype and email, you never know if your intentions and desires are clearly communicated. I had a vision for my wedding, and Courtney executed it all with style and grace. She was beyond organized. My wedding was just like I wanted it. Courtney helped me figure out all the detail and found the best vendors. Everything from the flowers to my gluten free dessert table was amazing.

We had some unexpected weather challenges the day of our welcome dinner and wedding day, but Courtney handled it all like a pro. As the bride, I didn't have to stress as she had it covered.
