Description

Casa Solana is located on a hill on the South side of Sayulita, only a short 8-minute walk from the village plaza along a dirt road brimming with character. The house exudes a simple, European elegance with high ceilings, tasteful decor and 4 sets of French doors opening up to the courtyard patio, veranda and the palm trees and cactus in the garden. The fully-equipped kitchen includes such extras as blender, toaster, citrus juicer and coffee maker, and opens onto the large outdoor veranda where dinner can be served al fresca with views of Sayulita's hills and valleys. A barbeque is also provided so you can grill up some camarones (shrimp) or fresh fish caught by the local fisherman.

A comfortable king-size bed occupies the 1 bedroom, and a second double bed is set up in the spacious livingroom for daytime lounging or as a second bed if you need it.

Casa Solana is ideally located both close to town and the main beach and close to the less populated beaches: Los Muertos (great, swimming beach) and Carricitos (amazing paradise!) -- a 10-minute and 20-minute walk respectively, through the jungle on small dirt roads.

Our whole house now has a purified water coming out of all the taps! We have installed a brand new system of UV and carbon filters so that you can now wash all your vegetables and fruits quickly and easily, drink the water straight out of the taps and brush your teeth with the tap water :)

If you want to rent the house Golf Cart it is available for US$50/day or 7 days for US$280. A fully refundable PayPal damage deposit of US$400 is required if you want to rent the golf cart.

The caretaker of Casa Solana lives in the second floor roof-top suite with her two cats (that may visit you :) -- should you have any questions.

Our property also houses the owners Casita - a completely separate building from Casa Solana

Sheets are changed and maid service is provided once a week if you stay for 2 weeks or more.

No smoking inside the house, please, only outside on the porch. And no dogs, sorry, because the caretaker has kitty cats. Gracias!

The real deal!
Love Casa Solana and manager Tracey. Was my second stay and would delightfully book again. The casa feels large and is set up very well, also nice and clean. The neighborhood is a mix of urban and rural sounds; the real deal in Mexico!

Lively Sayulita
The 2 of us stayed at Casa Solana for the month of February. It lived up to its reviews! For us, it is in the perfect location, short walk to the town center and the beaches. We loved to sit on the patio in the morning with our coffee and listen to the birds. After walking to town, doing our daily shopping, it was so refreshing to come back and relax in the shade on the patio. The pictures on the website are right on; spacious and roomy with everything we needed. Tracey was quick to respond to any issues or questions we had.

We loved the lively and colourful atmosphere of Sayulita. We usually like to cook in, but there are so many good restaurants, we ate out a lot!! And if we stayed in for dinner, we would walk into town in the evening to check the street entertainment. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the Friday market was great.

This is a Mexican neighbourhood, complete with chickens, roosters, dogs, and donkeys! And of course, lots of music!!!

love it
We loved the authentic Mexican feel of this place....you know you are in Mexico with the special touches around the house. The bed was super comfortable, as was the entire house. It was an easy ten minute walk to downtown on cobble stone streets where you can find many great restaurants and cafes. The closest beach is "Playa de los Muertos," which is a 15 minute walk, and we enjoyed it more than the main beach downtown. This casita is a great place to stay!

super comfy
Casa Solana is well situated and comfortable. The king size bed and multiple fans made every night a relief after long days out in the sun. The kitchen and bathroom served our purposes fine but it would have been nice to have some breakfast stuff provided, at least for our first day there. Be advised that the house is a bit of a climb without a golf cart.

beautiful
Tracey’s place is really beautiful! Spacious and the beds are very comfortable. We loved the short walk into town past roosters and small food vendors, and the close proximity to more beaches. We also loved the porch for drinks, cooking dinner, and lounging in the hammocks. We look forward to our next trip and hope to stay here again.

great spot
This was our first trip to Sayulita and Tracey's place made it a really special one. Tracey met us at check-in and gave us great tips on where to eat. The house is so charming and really spacious - rustic but also comfortable and clean. The outdoor spaces are really lovely - sitting outside for coffee or cocktails was such a pleasure. The kitchen is well equipped, we made breakfast with local eggs and fruit almost every morning. The bedroom is romantic and comfortable and the bath and shower are great. Filtered water meant no worries. The location was perfect for us, it only took us about 10 minutes to walk to the plaza, but the casa feels very private on a residential street. Tracey, thanks for everything. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Super
A wonderful rental to stay in. Close to town but far enough from the hustle and bustle. Great outdoor area to relax and nice comfortable beds to sleep in. Easy walk to everything you need and the main beach. Especially enjoyed the spot because it is also close to two other beaches. Would definitely book and go again. Tracey was the perfect host. Helpful and gave us our privacy.

love it so much
I've stayed in many rentals and this is definitely one of my favorite experiences! Casa Solana was a dream and perfect for our stay in Sayulita. The location is ideal, it's only a short walk to the plaza/center of town but just far enough away to feel truly peaceful. It's also a short walk to a lovely little beach that is not as crowded as the central beaches. The house itself is very comfortable - the bed was big and the linens were so soft (and smelled good too), there's countless places to sit and relax both inside and outside, the patio(s) are fantastic and a great place to eat breakfast. There's great tropical plants all around the house and you'll wake up to sunshine and bird sounds. The kitchen has everything you need for simple meals and the bathroom is spacious and comfortable. Tracey is as lovely as a host gets! She was responsive, relaxed, and gracious. She lives upstairs but you'd hardly know it. Though she's wonderful to talk to and is so helpful. I can't recommend Casa Solana enough. We loved it.

even better than expected
Casa Solana was even better than the photos - I could lay in bed and look out through the French doors not only at palms and cactus, but to the mountains in the distance. And birds! My friend and I went to Mexico especially to see birds but little did we know we could sit on the porch and in the little courtyard and be surrounded by exotic birds. I loved having iguanas in the trees too, and one little house gecko. The beautiful growth and cascading flowers around the house was a real treat, as was the privacy aspect. Having pure, running water to drink rocked! I would recommend Casa Solana to anyone going to Sayulita; our landlady and the owners on the property are warm and friendly people and we loved staying there.

wonderful
Tracey was away when we arrived, but was sure to have everything ready for us, and loads of information about the town available when we got there. The place was even better than described, and even though she was away, Tracey was available via email. We were sad to leave, but can't wait to go back. Thank you, Tracey and Sayulita for a wonderful experience!
