Description

Casa Solana in Sayulita is located on a hill on the South side of town, only a short 8-minute walk from the village plaza along a dirt road brimming with character. The house exudes a simple, European elegance with high ceilings, tasteful decor and 4 sets of French doors opening up to the courtyard patio, veranda and the palm trees and cactus in the garden. The fully-equipped kitchen includes such extras as blender, toaster, citrus juicer and coffee maker, and opens onto the large outdoor veranda where dinner can be served al fresca with views of Sayulita's hills and valleys. A barbeque is also provided so you can grill up some camarones (shrimp) or fresh fish caught by the local fisherman.

As of the summer 2020 we have a gorgeous new pool! With a large deck for sunning yourselves, too. Sweet! The photos are before the lounge chairs arrived.

A comfortable king-size bed occupies the 1 bedroom, and a second double bed is set up in the spacious livingroom for daytime lounging or as a second bed if you need it.

Casa Solana is ideally located both close to town and the main beach and close to the less populated beaches: Los Muertos (great, swimming beach) and Carricitos (amazing paradise!) -- a 10-minute and 20-minute walk respectively, through the jungle on small dirt roads.

Our whole house now has a purified water coming out of all the taps! We have installed a brand new system of UV and carbon filters so that you can now wash all your vegetables and fruits quickly and easily, drink the water straight out of the taps and brush your teeth with the tap water :)

The caretaker of Casa Solana lives in the second floor roof-top suite with her two cats (that may visit you :) -- should you have any questions.

Our property also houses the owner's Casita - a completely separate building from Casa Solana

Sheets are changed and maid service is provided once a week if you stay for 2 weeks or more.

No smoking inside the house, please, only outside on the porch. And no dogs, sorry, because the caretaker has kitty cats. Gracias!

A word about Low Season: it is hot here, yes, during July, August and September, but the benefits are many....fewer people, the hills are lusciously green, the roads are less dusty, the rain is dramatic and refreshing and usually only at night after 9 p.m. and the flashes of lightning are frequent and spectacular. Come and experience something different! The house is equipped with overhead fans and the pool is awesome.

Long Term Stay
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Solana. Tracey, property manager is quick to respond, friendly & very helpful. The house is nice and open feeling so you can move about. We had a young child so that was helpful in having space to move. We also enjoyed being up and away from all the night-life and center of town. I do suggest getting a golf cart for families or individuals who aren't comfortable walking up hill a bit of distance. Overall we would return and enjoyed our time.

Beautiful, spacious home in a great location!!!
The pictures do not do Casa Solana justice! The home is lovely, beautifully decorated in a Mexican style, and fresh even without aircon! We are working from home and need great wifi, Casa Solana was pretty consistent throughout the stay and we felt we had enough space to work and relax. We loved the pool area. The kitchen is a great size and has everything you need - Tracey even gave us a baking tray when we asked. Tracey was so helpful and communicative from start to finish, and had such a lovely, positive energy. We would definitely stay here again, and will be recommending to our friends and family. Thank you!!

Great stay, wonderful location
Perfect location within easy walking distance to the plaza, main beach and Playa Los Muertos, but far enough away that you can't hear the bars. Didn't hear any construction either! Wifi worked well, there was consistent hot water for the shower and loved the convenience of the filtered tap water here. You can see the sunrise from bed, and I really enjoyed the covered hammock. Kitchen is well-equipped. Tracey was very responsive to messages. Gracias!

Better than expected
Casa Solana is even better than in the pictures. Very private and located within a short walk to both beaches and town, excellent location! The hill to the bottom of the stairs is much, much shorter than expected and not a big deal at all. Tracey was very responsive and good with travel and restaurant suggestions. It is much quieter than in town, but I would recommend earplugs for those that are not used to some Mexico neighborhood noises.

The real deal!
Love Casa Solana and manager Tracey. Was my second stay and would delightfully book again. The casa feels large and is set up very well, also nice and clean. The neighborhood is a mix of urban and rural sounds; the real deal in Mexico!

Lively Sayulita
The 2 of us stayed at Casa Solana for the month of February. It lived up to its reviews! For us, it is in the perfect location, short walk to the town center and the beaches. We loved to sit on the patio in the morning with our coffee and listen to the birds. After walking to town, doing our daily shopping, it was so refreshing to come back and relax in the shade on the patio. The pictures on the website are right on; spacious and roomy with everything we needed. Tracey was quick to respond to any issues or questions we had.

We loved the lively and colourful atmosphere of Sayulita. We usually like to cook in, but there are so many good restaurants, we ate out a lot!! And if we stayed in for dinner, we would walk into town in the evening to check the street entertainment. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the Friday market was great.

This is a Mexican neighbourhood, complete with chickens, roosters, dogs, and donkeys! And of course, lots of music!!!

love it
We loved the authentic Mexican feel of this place....you know you are in Mexico with the special touches around the house. The bed was super comfortable, as was the entire house. It was an easy ten minute walk to downtown on cobble stone streets where you can find many great restaurants and cafes. The closest beach is "Playa de los Muertos," which is a 15 minute walk, and we enjoyed it more than the main beach downtown. This casita is a great place to stay!

super comfy
Casa Solana is well situated and comfortable. The king size bed and multiple fans made every night a relief after long days out in the sun. The kitchen and bathroom served our purposes fine but it would have been nice to have some breakfast stuff provided, at least for our first day there. Be advised that the house is a bit of a climb without a golf cart.
