There’s no shortage of great food in Sayulita, but Bar Sanctum really stands out.

Whenever I’m craving a great glass of wine and a nicer meal in Sayulita, I come to Bar Sanctum. I stopped in a little earlier this past Thursday and was excited to discover their happy hour, which included 2-for-1 margaritas and glasses of wine. My friend had the margarita and said it was delicious, while I had a very good glass of white wine. I also tried their house martini—a tropical twist made with mezcal—and absolutely loved it!

For food, we ordered the tuna tartare, albóndiga, and fresh hummus. Everything was delicious and incredibly fresh, but the albóndiga was the standout for me. It came with a delicious Mexican-style sauce, pickled onion, panela cheese, and crispy tortilla strips—the combination was so good.

There’s no shortage of great food in Sayulita, but Bar Sanctum really stands out. It’s unique, has a more elevated feel, and still offers a great experience at a very reasonable price. Definitely don’t miss it!

Arguably the best restaurant in Sayulita.

Arguably the best restaurant in Sayulita. The albóndigas, tuna tartare, charcuterie board, and carajillos are all outstanding. The A/C is almost as cold as an Oxxo 😂, which is a luxury in Sayulita.

The outdoor dining is perfect for people-watching, and the atmosphere is upscale while still feeling true to Sayulita. Excellent wine selection (don’t skip the Vinho Verde). They also offer wine tastings that are perfect for bachelorette parties or birthdays. The temperature-controlled cigar lounge and in-home cigar tasting experiences are ideal for a classy bachelor party or guys’ trip.

The quality, service, and attention to detail are exceptional, and it’s surprisingly reasonable for the level of food and experience.

I don’t work here—I just live in Sayulita and come here often enough to know it’s a true gem. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

A great place to enjoy in Sayulita.

Today we went for some ham and cheese croquettes and they exceeded our expectations. Absolutely delicious! The owners and staff were also incredibly friendly. The sangria was also very good. A great place to enjoy in Sayulita.

New spot in town and it has a super cool vibe and the food and drinks are exceptional. We will be back again as they also have live music a few times a week!

You got to try it out!

Plus, if you LOVE CIGARS then you 100% need to go! There is a cigar bar there too and the owner has some amazing cigars and is usually there to guide you through the selection!
