Description

Our beautiful Garden Casita and/or guest rooms are ideally located only 2 short blocks from the center of town on the south shore.  Leaving the pool area you are on the beach which is usually full of swimmers, surfers, and boogie boarders. The beginners surf area is directly in front of our house - right in our front yard - and the more advanced surf area is located just to the right. You can easily look out from your room or the pool terrace to check out the waves and action. The beach in front of our home is ideal for family use as well.

The grounds have 14 coconut palm trees and gardens with lush tropical plants and flowers. Both the casita, a free standing small home of about 1500 sq ft,  and guest rooms attached to the main house have been decorated with original art from national and international artists.

All the accomodations have filtered and/or bottled water, high quality linens, and both bath and beach towels.

The Garden Casita......is a three bedroom self contained home surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden. This home is situated just behind the main house. On the first level there are two air conditioned bedrooms, one queen and one double. Also on this level is a living room, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. On the second level is an outdoor living area with full bath. This area is partially covered and has a sunny lounge area as well. The views from this level are of the ocean filtered through the palm trees. Above this, nestled under the palapa roof, is a king sized loft bedroom. It is a very romantic and secluded bedroom and you feel like you are in a tree house. It has views of the town, coastline and ocean. The casita is very private and decorated with original art, high quality linens, and all the "extras". It is perfect for a family, a group of 5 and we have had many couples enjoy this much space to spread out in.

Guest rooms...Both air conditioned guest rooms and are attached to the main house with private entrances. Both rooms have double doors which you can totally open to the ocean breezes and sounds of the waves.

Guest Room 1...has a sunny and shady area on the terrace overlooking both the pool and the ocean. The terrace has a hamock and lounge chairs with umbrellas. Sun or shade - it's your choice. There is a fresh air bathroom and outdoor shower. The shower is surrounded by a tall wall and greenery. It is fun to look up and see palm trees and the sky and at night the moon and stars. It has a small refrigerator, coffee pot and dishes for cold foods. Laying in bed you can see the ocean and feel the breezes. With folding doors you can open your room totally up to the outdoors and just relax.

Guest Room 2...has everything that guest room 1 has and more. It has 2 terraces. One in is front of the guest room and the other is off to the side. The front terrace has a rocking chair and a teak lounge chairs. The side terrace is approximately 400 square feet and has both sunny and shady areas. There are lounge chairs to relax and sun and in the shaded sitting area are 4 large comfy curl up in chairs.  From this deck you can look up and down the entire coastline, watch the surfers and enjoy the fishermen as they bring in their fresh catches of the day.  Located on this terrace are a full size refrigerator, wet bar, and coffee pot and dishes for cold foods.

"Our Guests Say It Best!" and it's true. I couldn't say it better.

Location. Location. Location. Everything was within walking distance, so we did not get in a car all week, a vacation in itself. This is the best. I simply love it! I couldn't imagine Casa Campana would be so wonderful! - Mike Bradley

Casa Campana has helped make our stay in Sayulita simply wonderful. We love the architecture of this home, the location and the wram and welcoming feeling. As I sit here on the balcony of the palapa, I can gaze out into the ocean and listen to the peaceful eb and flow of the waves. Cheryl and Richard have created a slice of heaven within the lushness of this unique town. Many thanks - The Denkensohn Family

What a wonderful vacation! We all feel like we have been in pardise for a week. Everything was much more wonderful than we ever imagined it would be. We'll be back! - Pat Hastings

Back home in Denver and still waking up at night listening for the ocean . . . but not to be. We enjoyed every bit of Sayulita and your place on the beach created the perfect atmosphere. It is so special and your taste and personal touch gave every corner the "soul" that everyone is looking for when staying away from home. You both were a delight to meet and we were only sorry it was for such a short time - I think we could have found many more subjects to discuss over coffee at Rollies! - Becky Lenhart

Thank you so much! I had a wonderful week renting your casita. We (4 women) loved everything about Casa Compana from the beautiful pool, to the spacious rooms, views from the deck, the open air living with no bugs, the privacy, the location. We enjoyed the sound of the ocean every night as we fell asleep and long walks on the beach in the morning. Wendy Bickart

Best time ever!
Our family has been visiting Sayulita for 5 consecutive times. We love staying at Casa Campana. Everything is easily accessible, even the ocean. Cheryl and Richard are gracious hosts. We stayed for 2 full weeks. next year we'll go for 3 weeks hopefully. Feb.4 through the 18th, 2017.

Great location in a relaxing town
We rented the two bedroom villa. We had a great time. The staff was super friendly and willing to help with what ever we had questions about. Our host Mary Pat was fantastic. She made it feel like we were part of her family. We went with 7 other couples that stayed in different areas around Sayulita. Our place was hands down the best. The places that our friends stayed at were nice, but they did have problems with water pressure and water getting much warmer than Luke warm. We didn't have that problem. We had great water pressure and it was very warm. Our villa was clean and in great shape, the view was spectacular. They even have beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, boogie boards and other things to use. We will visit again

Really Sweet Spot
My husband, toddler, and I just stayed for a week in Suite 2. It was a simple studio room with a great patio to lounge around. We found the location to be a perfect distance to town when we went out (a bit out of the hub bub) and steps to the beach which was fantastic. Everyone caring for the place was super nice and helpful. It was safe and secure as well. We left our room door open at night to hear the waves and put the air on when our toddler napped. There is a fridge if you want to make your own lunches, etc. We brought a 5th burner and a pan so we could relax in the morning with our coffee and eggs. There is a plug outside to make this happen. Our only whining is about the freezing pool--bbbrrrrr. It never warmed up. It would be awesome to have a heater on it so folks can swim any time of day. It was too bad because our toddler just wanted to jump in. Other than that, we had a great visit and felt the room was perfect for us. Thank you!

Amazing view and location.
The location of Casa Campagna can't be beat. You walk literaly 6 steps from the gate and you are on the best beach in Riviera Nayarit. We stayed in the one bedroom and it had all we needed for a week. It is basic but well kept, clean and comfortable. There are beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards which we took out with us every day. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. We already booked our next vacation at Casa Campana.

Not good!
Place is old and dirty, mold in the shower, plaster pealing off the walls. Toni is delightful but on very helpful. Owner needs to disclose that the pool is not heated and not very clean.

Thank you for your review. You are in the same group as the 2 previous reviews and I can see that you did not have a good time at Casa Campana. I am sincerely sorry.

I will try to address your issues: I have only checked pool not heated pool. There are both of those options so I am not sure why you thought our pool was heated and I don't have a solution for this.

We do have 8 steps coming up the middle of our driveway which is the entrance to our house. I am going to add a photo to our site to show the entry so there won't be any questions in the future. I am sorry that was difficult for you.

As I wrote to your friends, I could have done so much if I had known. Although I don't expect you to come to my house and find it to be less than you expected. I am sincerely sorry and hope you will return to Sayulita to enjoy all it has to offer. It is a magical place and I totally enjoy it there.

Sincerely - Cheryl

Great location. Good hosts
Ideal location and very nice owners/hosts. We stayed in the Casita. It needs updating and cleaning. The walls were peeling, there is mold, rust and the entire unit needs to be repainted and cleaned thoroughly. Also there were dogs and dog feces around the swimming pool. We wouldn't stay there again.

Hi again - this is coming from the same IP address so I am simply pasting my response here....

Hi - I am so sincerely sorry to read that the accommodations were not up to your expectations. As you can see from the other reviews I have online, I have never had this happen before and I am truly sorry.

I would like to write it here, that had I known I could have had the entire casita repainted in a day, I could have changed anything that was rusty, and I could have had the maids clean anything extra special. I didn't know until I received your review. Please if you are reading this planning to stay with us, know that we will do everything we can to insure your accommodations are the best we can make them. If something isn't right we will make it right.

That being said, you shouldn't have to say anything. Everything should have been spotless and ready when you arrived. We do sometimes forget something or have a light bulb burn out - but this - never.

There was a guest who arrived with a dog. It put me in a very awkward position since I didn't feel that I could simply kick her out. Tony told me about the incident at the pool. Again I apologize.

I hope you will try Sayulita again. It is a magical place that I call home and I love it there.

Just what we were looking for-loved it!
This was our third time staying in Sayulita but our first time at Casa Campana - we will definitely stay here again next time we come back. We stayed in Guest Room 2 which was very spacious, clean, and beautiful, with tons of private outdoor living space so you could always choose between sun and shade, with a close-up view of the beach and surfers.

I think this is the ideal location in Sayulita. Only three blocks to the center of town, but once you turn the corner on the beach road, the sometimes loud noises of town melt away into the sound of the waves on the beach - it was exceptionally quiet at night! Located directly across the narrow dirt road from the beach, near the end of the mellow surf break that they use for teaching beginning surfers and at the beginning of the part of the beach the fishing boats use for coming ashore, it was perfect for us for swimming and paddling my stand up paddle board. Much nicer swimming than in the center of town or north, and easier for getting the SUP out past the breakers.

The owners were out of town so Tony, the manage,r was living on-site and he was super helpful and friendly, and speaks excellent English.

I highly recommend staying here!

Loved It
I almost don't want to write this review because I'd love to keep this place my own secret. My wife and I came here on our honeymoon and were amazed at how wonderful this home was. The owner met us there and was very gracious and gave us tons of hints about the town. You can walk from here to anywhere you want to go in town and the best part is you are literally across the street from the beach. They have racks for surfboards and you can sit on your balcony sipping a Pacifico and just pop out to the break when you see the lineup empty. The room was clean. Everyone that worked there was wonderful. We will definitely be coming back.
