The house was very beautiful!
The house was very beautiful and very close to the center of town and to the beach, I would recommend to rent a golf cart if you have elderly guests because of the steep hill to get to the house

Beautiful Home, amazing trip
We absolutely loved this home. It’s full of character, from what appears to be original tile to the beautiful stained glass windows. The heated pool was the main reason we booked, and it exceeded expectations. The rooftop daybed was easily our favorite spot, perfect for relaxing and taking in the sun and views.

The staff was incredibly responsive. We had a minor issue with the hot water, and within about 10 minutes a handyman was there working on it. The tankless heater seems a bit finicky at times. Occasionally the hot water would cut out and needed a short reset before kicking back on. It wasn’t a major disruption, and after the initial visit it only happened a couple more times during our stay, but it’s worth being aware of.

If you happen to read the negative review that I did on Air B&B, all of those issues were addressed.

Charlie was also great to work with. We had an unexpected delay due to our dog needing surgery, and she was very accommodating in allowing us to extend our stay a couple extra days at a very fair rate.

There is some construction next door, but we didn’t hear any noise from it during our stay. Being in Sayulita, you will hear the usual local sounds like dogs barking or the occasional rooster.

One thing to note is the steep hill leading up to the house. For us, this wasn’t an issue since we rented a UTV from Kaliva Rentals, which made getting around easy.

Overall, this was a fantastic stay and we would absolutely come back.

We would definitely stay again.
The house was more beautiful than the pictures and descriptions. Perfect for our getaway. The pool and views were breathtaking. Melissa was very helpful at check-in and gave us a tour. She also was very responsive and reached out during our stay. The house is on a very steep hill over looking the town, we walked it but you can rent a golf cart if needed. We would definitely stay again.

Our stay at Casa Almas was fantastic! The pool was stunning, but also a close walk to the beach and the surrounding areas. The house, decked out in beautiful Mexican art throughout, felt incredibly cozy and authentic.

About Matt & Charlie
Matt is an entrepreneur who because of his dads work was raised around the world and on the east coast. He moved to Santa Cruz an adult to live closer to his mother.
At 19 Matt met a knifemaker who gave Matt a choice…finish college or learn how to make knives. He decided to learn how to make knives.
Matt eventually went back to college to get his degree in economics.
Charlie (me) was born and raised in NYC where I also went to school. I moved to California as an adult and worked running luxury boutiques in Beverly Hills…until 2009.
In 2010 I went to work for a new company - Matt was the owner of that company. We became friends over the first 6 years of working together.
After knowing each other for 6 years both of us went through a lot as friends.
Eventually we noticed each other as more than friends and from our first kiss we became a couple …that was over three ago now.
We both have 2 kids from from previous marriages so our family is 6 in total
We got married September 26, 2019
