Description

The Clay Studio in Lo de Marcos, 20 minutes North of Sayulita, offers pottery classes for beginner to advanced students in wheel and hand-building techniques. Group and private lessons are available. Unique workshops are offered throughout the year. Contact Kelly for more information.

Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, The Studio can teach you the skills to create your own unique pieces of pottery. Kelly has over 20 years of experience as a potter and sculptor and a passion for teaching. Her experience as a yogi translates into her teaching, offering her students calm, clear, patient instructions and techniques for success while accepting all the lessons clay has to teach us: patience, non-attachment, and the gifts of imperfection. Her classes foster an environment of community and play, and many students build lasting friendships that extend beyond The Studio. The wheel class size is limited to 3 students and fills up fast.

Kelly’s studio was so fun!

Kelly’s studio was so fun! My 3 teenage kids and I had a private wheel class and Kelly was great at teaching us and helping us with our creations. I would highly recommend finding time to visit and work with Kelly, her skill is beautiful to watch….a true artist!

Her studio is charming. Tucked just off the street, it feels like a peaceful oasis, yet you still get to enjoy the lively soundtrack of the town—vendors selling food from their trucks, dogs barking, and the vibrant local energy. It’s such a unique and beautiful setting to learn pottery.

Whether you’re a beginner or looking to deepen your skills, I can’t recommend Kelly’s studio enough. Her teaching style, combined with the studio’s serene yet lively atmosphere, made this an unforgettable experience!

Wow! Kelly and her pottery studio were both beyond expectations! My daughter and I came with very different skill levels and Kelly met us both where we were at and inspired some amazing pieces of art that we treasure.
