Breathtaking views!
This property is incredible. I saw the pictures online but they do not prepare you for what to expect when you walk in. My jaw dropped when I opened the front door and saw the wall to wall ocean view. It’s hot in Mexico in the summer, obviously, so the pool was amazing. I highly recommend being mentally prepared for Mexico in the summer. Embrace the heat while you’re out and about and you’ll be fine. Cool off in the pool and on the patio and retire to your comfy air-conditioned bedroom to rest. Highly recommend securing the golf cart in advance. The walk to town would have been too much for me. Renee was wonderful, always available when you need him. We got recommendations for massages at the house and a meal prepared for us in our kitchen and we were so impressed. I would give this property 10 stars if I could. I plan on coming back to Casa Gardenia.

Amazing Summer Vacation!
My husband and I stayed here with family a couple weeks ago and I cannot say enough good things about Casa Gardenia! The house itself and the view are absolutely breathtaking and we’re already talking about when we can come back. Sayulita is a little slice of heaven and Casa Gardenia is the perfect place to stay while you visit!

Two words “The view”!!!
I had been researching Sayulita and vacation rentals for probably two years before we finally went this past November. I came with my husband, brother and sister-in-law. Needless to say, none of us were disappointed. Once we got up the very steep hill, and stepped in the doors of Casa Gardenia, we were blown away by how gorgeous the views out back were, and how nice the casa was. When we were at the casa, we spent most of our time outside by the pool, or in the pool. “The magical views!” We had no issues with bugs. One day we were sitting inside and saw two vultures come take a drink out of the pool. That was really awesome to see. Rene, the house manager, was super friendly and very helpful. We even saw him in town on his motorbike and as he drove by us, he waved saying “hi Amigos”. The town of Sayulita is so quaint with so many food options and they were all delicious! The beach was fun, the surfing was good, and the locals were so friendly. We cannot wait to come back! Now.... the only negative I have to say is, we rented a golf cart that was said to be good for Nanjal hill. The hill is so gorgeous but also so steep. We ended up renting a different cart that had more horse power. Make sure you find a good golf cart for the hill. It’s probably best to either take a cab, or rent a car. Walking up and down the hill every day would be very tiresome, although I did do it for exercise two days. In summary, it was a wonderful, beautiful, adventuresome, much needed getaway!

Great coastline views from your private pool!
You walk through a pink bougainvillea archway, swing open the heavy parota wood door and immediately know you chose the right place! Glittering ocean vistas greet your weary traveler's eyes. Comfortable couches, comfortable king beds, your own private pool and deck, granite countertops, everybody gets a view...what's not to like? This place has something for everyone. Jungle birds fly below you and sea birds sail above. The sound of ocean waves fills the background. The everchanging summer views with sun glistening on the water, clouds, rain showers, lighting storms, and especially rainbows! was stunning.

Sayulita is such an enjoyable town for our family. The ocean has a soft sandy bottom with a great surf break and is the temperature of bath water in the summer and still comfortable in the winter. The local food is fabulous- chiles en nogada, fresh tuna on beautiful greens with grapefruit vinaigrette and bright red tomatoes, amazing shrimp green curry, of course street tacos. I could go on-find out for yourself! Tom and Rebecca left a great summary of local restaurants to visit!

I would 100% recommend visiting Sayulita and Casa Gardenia will give you the unforgettable local experience you're looking for.

Thank you Tom and Rebecca for letting us stay at your beautiful home,
Tom and Laura Sanders
And Olivia

Highly Recommend!
The photos, description and reviews are very accurate. You won't be disappointed. The drive up the hill is steep and winding but don't be intimidated, you'll make it!

Incredible - better than advertised
Amazing setting - the perfect location. LOVED enjoying the busy plaza and town beaches, then picking up (incredibly cheap) fresh produce, fish and other groceries at the local vendors and escaping up Nanzal hill to make yummy dinners and watch the most incredible sunsets. The layout of the casa was perfect for our party of 2 couples as the bedrooms are located on either side of the living/kitchen space, providing for wonderful privacy. Gorgeous panoramic view from every room.

Though we had a rental car and drove ourselves from PVR, we didn't end up using the car while in town as finding parking is nearly impossible. We did drive up to explore some other towns North of Sayulita, but we recommend renting a golf cart for your stay as the casa is on a VERY steep hill (we are all in good physical condition and walking down into town or the beach is not a problem, but walking up is another matter...especially if you have been shopping and are restocking the bar :-).

Best feature of all is the wonderful property management staff led by the charming René. He managed to get a team out on a Sunday to replace the modem when the Wi-Fi was knocked out by a surprise rainstorm, and was available at all times to answer questions via WhatsApp. Took advantage of all his recommendations and were not disappointed.

Muchas Gracias Rebecca and Tom for a spectacular vacation; and thanks for the recommendation for Salsa Night at Don Pedros...it turned out the night we went was a band playing Cuban music, our favorite! The friends we brought with us that we travel with frequently agreed Casa Gardenia is one of the most beautiful accommodations we have ever enjoyed. 100% RECOMMENDED

Gorgeous Hilltop Getaway
From the moment you walk in, the view and ambiance of Casa Gardenia will blow your mind. It is close enough to town that a short drive puts you right in the middle of it all, but far enough away that it is always very peaceful. The house is tastefully furnished with an eye for functionality, simplicity and letting the unique setting and beautiful views take center stage.

We stayed there with two couples and the split between the bedrooms was far enough that it still felt like there was some privacy. We did get one day of torrential downpours which made it tricky getting up the hill in a car but if what you want is breathtaking view, a little privacy near a bustling little downtown and a guaranteed memorable experience, this is the place for you!

Sunset Paradise
This house is truly a gift! Rebecca and Tom, thank you for sharing your amazing home! They are the perfect hosts! Highly recommend you reserve through them the pick up at the airport and stop at store by Adventure Transportation Service. Such a nice touch. We would have never found the house ourselves at night and in the rain. Rene, house manager from SPM, met us and showed us around. He’s an amazing nice guy. All his recommendations are right on. He came by a couple times during our 12 days to handle a couple minor things. Just a text and he was there. Such a professional and nice team. All you have to do is relax! We were there to relax and celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Rebecca and Tom even had Rene bring us a really nice bottle of Tequila. Such a nice surprise!!!Ok, so the view is one we’ll never forget and dream of since returning back to real life. We made sure we were back to the house each night for the golden hour to sit and enjoy the sunset. Each night it was different and a gift! The pool is amazing and the views from every room and patio, never get old. We had the doors open all day and night even when raining. Had an amazing lightning storm on night. Wow, so cool. We’ll never forget the chirping geckos either. The birds are so entertaining too.The bed was beyond comfortable. We had coffee every morning on the couches outside just off master suite listening to the waves and birds. We walked down to town most days using stairs (pretty steep) and back up for the first five days. Walk down not bad, but up is quite a different story. But we used it as our workout for the day, with the pool as our reward. We then discovered that a taxi in town (pick up on other side of bridge) was 70 pesos to get us home. So worth it especially after hitting one of the restaurants and shopping. We also rented the Jeep a couple days so we could explore towns north of Sayulita. The house is around others but is very private because of the way it’s built into the hill. We rarely heard anyone else. We played our music through the Bluetooth speaker in living room while cooking or hanging out by the pool. We also brought our Apple TV with cables and it worked great on the Tv in bedroom for movies. Internet was great for streaming movies or staying connected if you need to.We hope to make it back again to this Sunset Paradise, until then, we replay the memories. Thank you Rebecca and Tom for sharing your home. You’ve built a truly special home in a special place. A perfect place to create special memories. 💙💙💙

Rebecca and I are both commercial real estate professionals who live in Dallas, Texas and have fallen in love with the charm, weather, culture and views that Sayulita has to offer. Someday we hope to retire and spend many months at Casa Gardenia, but until then, we want to share our dream home with others who love the quaint Mexican Village of Sayulita! After owning a condo in Puerto Vallarta, we discovered the authentic charm of Sayulita. We decided we had to become 'locals', so we purchased a piece of land with a stunning view and spent three years building our dream home.
