Sunset Paradise
This house is truly a gift! Rebecca and Tom, thank you for sharing your amazing home! They are the perfect hosts! Highly recommend you reserve through them the pick up at the airport and stop at store by Adventure Transportation Service. Such a nice touch. We would have never found the house ourselves at night and in the rain. Rene, house manager from SPM, met us and showed us around. He’s an amazing nice guy. All his recommendations are right on. He came by a couple times during our 12 days to handle a couple minor things. Just a text and he was there. Such a professional and nice team. All you have to do is relax! We were there to relax and celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Rebecca and Tom even had Rene bring us a really nice bottle of Tequila. Such a nice surprise!!!Ok, so the view is one we’ll never forget and dream of since returning back to real life. We made sure we were back to the house each night for the golden hour to sit and enjoy the sunset. Each night it was different and a gift! The pool is amazing and the views from every room and patio, never get old. We had the doors open all day and night even when raining. Had an amazing lightning storm on night. Wow, so cool. We’ll never forget the chirping geckos either. The birds are so entertaining too.The bed was beyond comfortable. We had coffee every morning on the couches outside just off master suite listening to the waves and birds. We walked down to town most days using stairs (pretty steep) and back up for the first five days. Walk down not bad, but up is quite a different story. But we used it as our workout for the day, with the pool as our reward. We then discovered that a taxi in town (pick up on other side of bridge) was 70 pesos to get us home. So worth it especially after hitting one of the restaurants and shopping. We also rented the Jeep a couple days so we could explore towns north of Sayulita. The house is around others but is very private because of the way it’s built into the hill. We rarely heard anyone else. We played our music through the Bluetooth speaker in living room while cooking or hanging out by the pool. We also brought our Apple TV with cables and it worked great on the Tv in bedroom for movies. Internet was great for streaming movies or staying connected if you need to.We hope to make it back again to this Sunset Paradise, until then, we replay the memories. Thank you Rebecca and Tom for sharing your home. You’ve built a truly special home in a special place. A perfect place to create special memories. 💙💙💙

Beautiful home, great service, amazing views!
The house is even more beautiful than pictured. Amazing views and glorious sunsets. Renting the 4WD jeep from the owners was a great call, as the drive up is steep and winding, It was nice to have a walking path down to the beach, which felt private and removed, but also very close to walk to the town center. The bath towels were soft and the master bedroom bed was super comfortable. The house could use some easy upgrading in terms of utensils, cookware and dinnerware. Overall fantastic place to stay in Sayulita!

Excellent experience!! Great place.
Our experience was really good!!

Beautiful house with an amazing view!
Casa Gardenia was one of the best vacation rentals we've stayed at. It was really clean, the beds were super comfy and the view from the infinity pool was amazing. Only slight negative was the getting up the giant hill. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful short break in impeccable home!
My husband and I stayed at Casa Gardenia for 5 days. From the pick-up Rebecca helped arrange, to being met at and shown around the house by Rene, the friendly and knowledgable property manager; everything we needed was done for us.

The house is situated high up on a hill between beautiful jungle trees and plants, and is entirely private from other neighboring properties, none of which overlook the house, as a result. The house itself is exceptionally well appointed, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. An entire wall of glass doors greets you as you walk in, and the unrestricted views of the ocean, beaches and across to Sayulita are absolutely breathtaking. To have the choice of sitting outside in the cozy seating area, or lazing by the infinity pool on the provided loungers, or eating breakfast at the formal dining table overlooking the ocean with the doors flung open; this is the kind of property that is so wonderfully relaxing that it makes you feel like you actually live there - so much better than doing the 'all-inclusive' in a faceless resort.

The walk down to town or the beach, which we did twice a day, every day; is around 10-15 minutes, depending on the route you take - it's literally downhill all the way on cobbled streets (reminiscent of old Europe!) and quite leisurely. Don't forget, however, that what goes down, must go up, so plan for a little extra time for the leg home. My husband and I are gym rats and competitive cyclists, so we have a high level of fitness and so incorporated the trek home into our daily routine. For those who don't appreciate the fun of a 200-500 yard steep incline, then Rebecca rents out a vehicle or you can hire golf carts, which many of the locals seem to use. To us, the walk was just another beautiful addition to our day, so we enjoyed it thoroughly and it would not dissuade us from staying there again.

To conclude, our stay at Casa Gardenia was absolutely wonderful, and we will be adding it to our list of "go again" vacations.

Beautiful casa! Great people....
Our recent stay at Casa Gardenia was one of our most memorable. The home itself has everything a person could possibly want and more. Rene, Tito and Esmeralda were always available if we needed anything at all. The best part was that the Owners spent a great deal of time and thought putting together an information package about the home, all the great places to go in and around Sayulita and many emergency contacts. It truly felt like home away from home!

A Perfect Week Spent in Paradise!
I don't know where to begin to describe the amazing experience that was Casa Gardenia.

First, the service is impeccable. The owners, Rebecca & Tom, are the most helpful hosts I've ever encountered and that says a lot coming from someone who works in the vacation rental industry. They were quick to respond and always accommodating. They were just an absolute pleasure to book with. There was also the house manager, Rene, who greeted us upon arrival and was also quick to assist with the occasional question we had. Super great guy and very helpful. The same goes for the pool and cleaning staff. We enjoyed chatting with Esmerelda when she came by to clean up the home.

Second, the views. Just WOW. I've truly never stayed anywhere in my life with views like this. I spent a lot of time at the home just staring out at the ocean from the pool or the kitchen or the bedroom - from anywhere, really, because the awesome views are visible from every room in the house. It felt like our own private oasis. We really enjoyed floating in the pool and hanging out on the master bedroom terrace with our family. It was utterly AMAZING.

As for the house itself, it's also total perfection. The full gourmet kitchen and gas bbq made preparing our meals a breeze. While we went into town often for dinners, we opted to stay in and bbq fresh fish and chicken on a few occasions as well. The open living/dining area was perfect and allowed us to hang out and chat without being sectioned off from one another. The master bedroom, which we were in, was beyond spacious with a huge bathroom. Every morning we woke up to those views from the master bedroom and it couldn't have been nicer.

Other reviews reference the hill. Yes, it's on a hill. You wouldn't otherwise have views like these without being relatively high up. We opted to rent the Jeep from Rebecca & Tom and it was perfect for us. We also had a cart for the week but preferred the Jeep, personally. Fitness-minded people would likely enjoy the hike up and down the hill (there are private stairs to the beach right next to the house) but I definitely enjoyed having the vehicles to get around. If you do rent a cart, there's an area to charge your cart right outside in the carport and a garage for the Jeep.

This is hands down my new favorite vacation spot. We hope to stay again on our next visit to Sayulita. I can't imagine staying anywhere else after this experience. Casa Gardenia truly is as good as it gets.

We had an awesome vacation and recommend this beautiful house
Casa Gardenia was very clean and looks just like the photos. We loved being on the mountain with the infinity pool and the amazing view. Tom and Rebecca are so nice and when I had questions they would email back very quickly. Rene, the house manager, went above and beyond for us. Since I have no since of direction he came to my rescue several times. It was nice knowing that he was there for anything, which he was. The town of Sayulita is so cute and we felt so safe. We loved walking and some days riding the golf cart around town even though I’d get turned around. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

Spectacular, Amazing, Unforgettable!!
If I could give Casa Gardenia 1 Million stars I would. From beginning to end, Lets start with the lovely owners Rebecca & Tom. The booking process was smooth, a great experience. This property is undoubtedly the best in Sayulita for many reasons but let me just say Location, Location, Location. The entire house is one you only see in movies and you wonder if anything like that even exists. well, it does and it's in Sayulita.

I booked our stay for us and another couple. I already knew it was a rainy month (August) but I've been to Mexico before and It's actually a treat to see a storm of that caliber right in front of your eyes. But overall every day was sunny and warm, perfect for a tan. Private Beach access was awesome, a short walk let alone the coolest thing is walking thru the jungle and seeing other mansions.

I opted for the private suburban service pick up/drop off which was extraordinary. You get to make a stop at the Mega store to buy groceries, what an awesome service. That by far is very classy on the part of the owners to do that. I highly recommend the suburban service especially when you're trying to find the house in the private villas atop the mountain.

Let me move on to the property manager "Rene" he's just the best there is. explains everything so simple. GREAT great guy! he met us at the house to welcome us. During our stay we witnessed the best lightning storm of my life and yes of course the power did go out. It's common as in any 1st world country too, that the power grid and transformers might flicker but ....Rest assured, Rene was quick to assist us and all was great again. The owners are very lucky to have a guy like Rene managing this place.

It's so clean, well kept and if my review doesn't convince you to pick this place as your future vacation stay in Sayulita, I don't know what will. There are hundreds of people who already saw my social media posts and are seeking to book this place within the next year so I hope you click reserve soon before my friends beat you to it.

One observation I can add is that the photos on this website are incredible but yet they still don't do it justice. This is a magical place and even MORE, I mean MOREEEE spectacular in person. I'm so GLAD I chose this place. I will definitely return on a future stay.

This is a great place with amazing views of the pacific!
The pool was perfect for hanging out and cooling off during the day, and the inside was up to date and very comfortable!! Would defiantly rent this place again!! The owners are super nice and helpful... and always responded quickly with any questions that I had! It is a big hill going up and down... so make sure you have some wheels to get back and forth to town!! Look forward to coming back and staying here again!!!

Rebecca and I are both commercial real estate professionals who live in Dallas, Texas and have fallen in love with the charm, weather, culture and views that Sayulita has to offer. Someday we hope to retire and spend many months at Casa Gardenia, but until then, we want to share our dream home with others who love the quaint Mexican Village of Sayulita! After owning a condo in Puerto Vallarta, we discovered the authentic charm of Sayulita. We decided we had to become 'locals', so we purchased a piece of land with a stunning view and spent three years building our dream home.
