Sayulita is your destination for relaxing and enjoying Mexico’s rich cultural and natural beauty, and our beachfront properties provide the perfect accommodation to enjoy Sayulita’s window onto Mexican village life in a spectacular coastal setting. What sets Casa Higuera/Casa Sofia apart are their beachfront location, gorgeous ocean views, spacious and attractive design, and exclusive southside location on Sayulita’s best hill overlooking the bay - just steps away from both beach and village. Our properties are built with traditional and contemporary Mexican architectural design elements – including palapas, Spanish arches, vaulted ceilings and hand-painted Mexican Talavera tile. They are attractively decorated with Mexican arts and crafts we have collected from all over Mexico. Casa Higuera is surrounded by tropical lushness on our private, landscaped hill that meanders right down to the beach. Guests also enjoy daily housekeeping service (except Sunday).

CASA HIGUERA - 2 bedroom/2.5 bath
Beachfront home with panoramic views over the Sayulita Bay

When you enter Casa Higuera you will be overtaken by the panoramic views of the beach, bay and village. Designed in the spirit of indoor-outdoor living, the whole front of the casa opens through sliding doors onto an expansive, 45-foot long patio – bringing coastal Mexico right to your doorstep.

Casa Higuera contains two private bedroom/bathroom suites (one king-size and one queen-size), and an additional half-bath off the living room. The couches in the living room can also sleep two additional guests. You can cook all your meals in the home’s spacious, fully equipped Mexican kitchen and dine alfresco under our huge thatched palapa roof on the front patio, or in the indoor dining room. While sitting on our large L-shaped couches you can take in the view while enjoying our large collection of Mexican art books – and read about the Mexican arts, handicrafts, and antiques found throughout the house. Casa Higuera also has a shaded tropical garden courtyard that sits under the canopy of a 400-year-old Higuera tree.

Sleeps: 4-6

Size: Approx. 2,000 square feet.

Other Amenities: Safe for valuables, free wi-fi, mosquito netting, ceiling fans over beds, CD player, TV&DVD player, air conditioning, daily maid service (except Sundays)

CASA SOFIA – 3 bedroom/3 bath home
2-story/two patio beachfront home with breathtaking ocean views

Completed in 2005, Casa Sofia incorporates Casa Higuera’s tasteful architecture and design and expands them in to a two-story, three-bedroom house. When you enter Casa Sofia, you will be struck by the views -- like Casa Higuera, the whole house opens onto a huge patio overlooking Sayulita bay. Unique to Casa Sofia are the expansive, Catalan-style vaulted ceilings over the living room, kitchen, and bedroom of the top floor, built by craftsmen brought in from central Mexico.

Casa Sofia’s top floor is comprised of the house’s large, fully-equipped main kitchen, two dining-rooms (one inside and one under a huge palapa on the patio for al fresco dining), a living-room with two couches, a sun patio, and a one bedroom/bathroom suite. Through two huge French doors, the whole of the top floor opens on to the patio and view of the ocean, which can be seen from all the rooms. Through an internal staircase, you enter Casa Sofia’s lower level, where there are two bedroom/full bathroom suites, a small kitchen/dining area, and a huge covered patio with couch, chairs, dining table – and full views of the ocean. It is virtually a two-bedroom house of it’s own on one floor.

Casa Sofia will allow you to accommodate your large group or family under one roof while providing the maximum in space, privacy, and comfort.

Sleeps: 6-8

Size: Approx. 2,500 square feet

Other amenities: Safe for valuables, free wi-fi, mosquito netting, ceiling fans over beds, CD player, TV&DVD player, air conditioning, daily maid service (except Sundays)

CASITAS – One-bedroom studios
Spacious beachfront studios with ocean views

Our casitas provide you with your own private, 800 sq. ft. apartment to enjoy your visit to Sayulita. Ideal for a couple, a family of three, or just a couple of friends traveling together, the casitas provide total privacy within the openness of the studio layout. The front of the casitas open up onto the patio though a huge 12-foot wide pair of French doors that bring the ocean view and breeze right into your casita. You can cook a full meal in your private kitchen and then dine al fresco on your large, private patio.

Once you enter through your own private entrance, you will find spacious patio terraces overlooking the ocean, a full kitchen, a studio-style bedroom with a king-sized bed, a living area (with a couch that doubles as a twin bed to accommodate an additional child or adult), patio-dining under a traditional palapa roof, private bath, and plenty of closet space. You do not have to get out of bed to see the ocean!

Quiet Secluded Little Oasis
Just returned from Sayulita and really enjoyed our stay at Casa Higuera. We stayed in Casita #5 which is a smaller unit but for two people was a great space. All the units are strategically placed so that each unit feels very private. The little path from town to the residence was easy to navigate and we loved the fact we were so close to town but still secluded. The pool was a great addition to the experience and we enjoyed lounging around the pool during the hottest parts of the day.

Beautiful space, great view, just enough removed from downtown.
We spent 5 days in Casita 2, and are already planning our next trip back. The apartment is spacious, clean, and bright like the town of Sayulita. We loved having the personal patio overlooking the water. The pool is very nice, and we often had it to ourselves. A note - the property is located up a hill, and while the paths is clear, be aware should that pose any issues for steep walking. We opted to walk down the steps closer to the beach, which takes you right into town in 3 minutes.

Casa Higuera was amazing!
Casa Higuera was absolutely amazing! My husband and I just stayed in one of the casitas for a wedding and we didn't want to ever leave! Our friends rented out the pent house at Villa Amore, but my husband and I both agreed we scored a better stay at Casa Higuera. We couldn't be happier from the cleanliness, quietness, friendliness, and perfect location and ocean views! We highly recommend and plan on returning soon!! Thanks again!

Beautiful View!
Casa Higuera is truly special. The grounds are gorgeous and the view from our casita was fantastic. Loved the beautiful walk down to the beach and back up. Loved the pool and being able to take a nice swim after spending a lovely day at the beach. Our casita was just darling and we loved getting up in the morning and having a beautiful breakfast on our balcony soaking up sights and the sounds of the birds singing and chirping. I can never get tired of listening to the sound of the waves crashing. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back and stay at Casa Higuera.

Beautiful, private garden casita
This is such a lovely property. The architecture and gardens are inspiring and beautifully laid out and maintained. We stayed in Casita 6, which has a beautiful garden patio and a spacious well appointed suite. We love the location, and hope that next time we come back that we can stay longer. Communication with the owner's assistant was excellent. The on site staff do an excellent job at keeping the property spotless.

We stayed in Casita #3. It's well maintained, clean, fully stocked and has beautiful views of the beach above where the fishermen bring in their boats. The grounds are lovely - that tree must be ancient. It's right in town but seems like we're in our own little oasis. There's three ways into town, one through the garden, one down a shaded walkway or down the road. All are quite an elevation change but of course, that's how you get the great view.

Can't wait to come back!
We had the most wonderful week in Casita #4. Between the views from the patio, the beautiful refreshing pool, the comfortable bed, to the quick walk to the beach and town both, we could not have asked for a better place to stay for our vacation. The property is beautiful and well maintained, and the 'light cleaning service' was better then we expected, it was great to walk in every afternoon to a clean house. This place exceeded our expectations!

Amazing Views, Beach Access and Town Access - best location!!
We rented Casa Sophia, which is the 3 bedroom house. The master is upstairs with a kitchen, dining room and living room, as well as a wonderful deck with excellent views. There are two bedroom downstairs, each very large, with a second living room and kitchenette, and large deck with wonderful views. This was almost overkill for our requirements since my wife and I stayed upstairs, and our two sons ages 4 and 7 stayed downstairs. So we barely used the downstairs other than for sleeping, since the upstairs is so large. The pool was great, and you cannot beat the location. You literally walk down a pathway for 2 minutes in one direction and you're in the middle of town, or take the other pathway down and you're on the beach. Internet service was excellent. There was a cleaner every day who did very light cleaning, which was helpful. The property manager also was very nice and helpful.
Overall a very pleasant experience. Decent condition, great AC, great pool, Fantastic Location. Would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends.

Gorgeous Property, Amazing views!!!!
We decided on this property after viewing a dozen homes in Sayulita and were so happy with our choice. The home is an artistic masterpiece from the beautiful ethnic Mexican art to the gorgeous tiles, Coppola brick work ceilings and lovely furniture. To say the view is magnificent would be an understatement, we came during the "off" season and it couldn't have been better. Mexican Independance Day on Sept 16 gave us the opportunity to enjoy the festivities in town (5 minute walk from the house) with music, dancing horses, fun for everyone for two days!!!!! We went fishing one day with a guy who took us in his boat and it was the best birthday my brother and husband had, they caught Mahi Mahi (Dorado) and Bonita (tuna) and the boat guy is on the beach right in front of the house. The house has everything you need to cook and enjoy the ambiance of a perfect tropical setting. September was supposed to be raining and it did rain at night with lightning and thunder that was welcome and exciting for us Californians yearning for rain, but the days were sunny and we were in the ocean every day and the shared pool in the afternoon. We decided there were just enough people in town not to be too crowded ad the restaurants were amazing. I can't say enough about how kind and thoughtful the owner Aaron is, and my family is already talking about when we can go back. Don't book any other home, THIS is paradise in every way.
