Ocean views are sweeping, from both inside the Casa as well as outside. Two air-conditioned bedrooms have king-size beds and private baths. Internet speed is unmatched, and the local team is always there for you.

❁ Steep Hill-Climb ❁
The 1.5 block walk from the Plaza is steep.
Both bedrooms are large, have air-conditioning (a/c), king-sized beds, and en-suite bathrooms. Luxury linens promise comfort, and each room is decorated with richly-colored Mexican textiles and art. The master bedroom has sweeping ocean views, and accesses the ocean-view terrace. The second bedroom has peek-a-boo ocean views; it has less direct sunlight, so perfect for sleeping.
The terrace has a view that sweeps across the Plaza and onto the ocean. It is fully furnished for dining, and has a gas grill. It is accessed via the master bedroom.
The kitchen is fullly equipped, and is a beautiful place to be creative. Block-style skylights above brighten this space with filtered, natural light. A counter-top bar invites friends to sit and chat, and you’ll find high-end cookware, coffee prep, pottery dishes, and beautiful blue glassware. A shared 1/2 bath near the kitchen is conveniently located for common use.
The kitchen does not have a/c.
The living area is open to the kitchen, and has a large dining table that accommodates 6-8 people. The couch is hand-made of solid wood, and a loft functions as an added sleeping area. The carpentry of loft - ladder, railing and shelving, is hand-done with quality wood and quality workmanship. It is a beautiful nook with a twin-size bed, and together with curtains and star-lights, it becomes a dreamy frame for any child’s imagination. A built-in fan keeps it comfortably cool.
The living area does not have a/c.
Carport and garden:
A carport is available to park a car, or to park and charge a golf cart, and to store surfboards. The path from the carport to the house passes through the garden, which is packed with banana, papaya, heliconia of all types, exotic plants and flowers; and as a result, attracts hummingbirds, chachalaca (like a Mexican turkey), and parrots.
❁ Location: Downtown.
The Casa is located above the Plaza on Gringo Hill, which is the very steep hill directly behind the plaza. It overlooks downtown Sayulita and provides a peaceful perch. The Plaza is a 3-min walk, the main beach and surf break is another 3 minutes.
❁ Internet: Excellent.
Leyenda internet speed is reliably the best in the area. The Casa has a phone line dedicated entirely to internet, and internet use is limited to guest use only. Telmex internet speed is partly determined by a downtown location; the best internet is in town, and slows with distance from city center. The property manager in Sayulita is vigilant about maintaining connectivity and speed.
❁ Nighttime Noise:
Downtown Sayulita has a number of clubs and bars, and they often don’t get started until after 11 pm. Casa Leyenda is mostly affected during the Easter and Christmas Holidays. All other times, closing the windows is usually sufficient to block the noise, and we also provide earplugs to help out. The trade-off is convenience, quick beach access (5 min, 3 blocks), and robust internet.
❁ Hill Climb:
The 1.5 block walk from the Plaza to Leyenda is very steep, so be prepared to burn calories! Ocean views are available from every room. Your hill climb pay-off.
The Casa is extraordinarily safe. It is accessed through two digitally locked gates- the first enters a car port, and the second exits the garage to access the Casa and Casita.
There are no additional charges for cleaning, which are generally scheduled every 4 days.
❁ Property Management:
-For over 10 years Casa and Casita Leyenda have had the same same property manager with the same cleaning staff (really wonderful girls) and gardeners.
-Security is their high priority, and they have an impeccable security record.
-The property management team has a physical location at the Plaza with open hours daily. They are immediately available at all times.

Guests have access to the entire Casa, Terrace, Garden and Car Port.
The car port entry and exterior stair is a shared entrance to both Casa Leyenda and Casita Leyenda. Casita Leyenda is located above the Casa. Parking in the car port is dedicated to the Casa, exit and entry through it is shared with Casita guests.
❁ Casita guest traffic: Guests staying in the Casita above Casa Leyenda share entrance gates and the stairs. Expect guest traffic past the Casa (stairs leading to Casita) when the Casita is occupied.
❁ Casita: If you need additional sleeping space, ask us about renting Casita Leyenda. It is a free-standing studio apartment located one flight of stairs up. It has a king-size bed and also a couch that will sleep an additional adult. It has spectacular views from the terrace and expansive roof-top deck.

Extended stay discounts: 15% discount for stays of 7 nights and more. 30% discount for stays of 28 nights and more.
There is a 4-night minimum stay unless otherwise stated.
Deposit: 50% for confirmation of reservation, and balance is due 45 days prior to arrival.
No refunds offered if reservation is canceled less than 45 days prior to arrival date. Any cancellation more than 45 days prior to arrival date will be refunded less a 15% administration fee and any transfer fees.
Damage deposit may be required. The deposit, minus any deductions will be returned after rental period.
Nancee and David Goodrich live in the small mountain town of Gunnison, Colorado where Nancee owns a small women's boutique and David works in the woods. They are proud parents of two girls, they have two grandkids, and love their two kitties, Nina and Noche. Sayulita was love at first sight, and they have loved making a home in the small Mexican surf town.
