The company of Live Theater Sayulita will be doing one production this year: three short one-act comedies by David Ives, and a longer one-act by Gerald Dipego titled: “In Reality.”  La Luz Fantastica, Revolucion #155 Sud, has been booked for the dates of February 12, 13, and 14 so theater-goers will have a choice of which night to attend.

The Ives plays include “The Philadelphia, “The Mime,” and “Sure Thing,” three comedies guaranteed to tickle the funny bone. “In Reality” is a touching comedy about an actor who becomes confused between the play he is in and reality — or is he confused? It’s up to the audience to decide.

Sayulita’s favorite actors will be returning: Richard Carlson, Jennifer Culp, Doug Downs, Donna Evans-Deyermond, Pat Garfus, Judy Greber, Peter Glass, and Sam Pottinger. This year Ruby Bartini and Bob Greber, who have always been behind the scenes supporters, will also take the stage. Pat Garfas will direct the cast. Donna Evans-Deyermond and Peter Glass are the producers.

Doors will open at 7:15 p.m., the production will start at 8 p.m.  Wine will be available for purchase prior to the show and during the 15-minute intermission.

Tickets will be on sale at the Mercado del Pueblo starting Friday, January 15, and online at cfd55@gmail.com. The cost will be $300 pesos/person or $20 USD. There will be a slight surcharge for using PayPal online. Proceeds will benefit the Primaria and Secondaria schools. Choose your date — February 12, 13 or 14 — and get your ticket! There is only one production this year and seats are limited so tickets will go fast.
