With Semana Santa just around the corner and the children on school break, it’s the perfect time to plan a fun filled day. Whether you will be visiting Sayulita for the upcoming holidays or you’re a local, there are a variety of exciting things you could be doing in and around our pueblo.

Take a Tour with Vista Paraiso

Vista Paraiso, located in Higuera Blanca, is just a short distance from Sayulita. You’ll find yourself on beautiful, tranquil Montalbeña Ranch, away from the hustle and bustle of the festivities in Sayulita. For those of you who want to get your adrenaline pumping, there are canopy tours, which will allow you a breathtaking view of Punta Mita and the jungle below. ATV tours, single riders and double riders, are another option for adventure lovers. Vista Paraiso also offers horseback riding through the lush jungle, the town of Higuera Blanca, and to Litibu beach. Transportation is included in the price of the tours, making it a breeze to get to and from your destination.

Take a Catamaran to the Marieta Islands

Ally Cat Sailing Adventures and the Chica Locca offer catamaran trips to the Marieta Islands, which are an uninhabited group of small islands. Known for an abundance of marine life, this is a prime spot for snorkeling. Seeing blue-footed boobies, unique rock formations, and the “hidden beach,” are other highlights. The price of the tour includes food, beverages, and transportation.

Get a Day Pass at La Tranquila Resort & Spa

La Tranquila Resort and Spa is a haven of luxury and is just 10 minutes from Sayulita in Punta de Mita. While one might think you have to stay there to experience this high-end resort, that’s not the case, as long as you are a resident of the area, such as Sayulita, San Pancho, La Cruz, etc. After you show proof of residency, you can purchase a day pass for 900 pesos / person. This amount will go towards food and beverage purchases at the restaurants and bars at this resort during your visit. With seven pools, including an infinity pool right on the beach, and a jacuzzi, this is the perfect spot to lounge in a beach chair, float in the pool, or soak up the sun.

Stay at a Bed and Breakfast in Puerto Vallarta

Spend a few days pampering yourself at Riveria Del Rio or Garlands Del Rio in Old Town in Puerto Vallarta. The suites at these bed and breakfast spots are spacious, with top of the line mattresses, bedding, and towels. While the amenities vary slightly at the two locations, both locations have an outdoor swimming pool, an outdoor whirlpool tub, and serve up a delicious breakfast, which is made to order.

Shoot a Bow and Arrow at Archery Experience Mexico

Get a group of friends together and battle it out in a game of archery tag at Archery Experience Mexico. Similar to paint ball, but with soft-foam tipped arrows, this game is all about fun. If you prefer something a little less active, you can always opt for target shooting and honing your skills.
