Description

Casa Amigos Upstairs King Suite in Sayulita is a premium upstairs suite in an intimate, adults-only guest villa that has just opened. With only four suites in the house, it feels more like staying with friends than checking into a hotel. It’s also well placed for days spent on the sand and in the water: it’s a short walk to the beach and the left surf break, and about five minutes from the center of Sayulita.

You reach the suite by an exterior staircase, and it has its own private entrance, so you can come and go as you like. Inside, a king-size bed and air conditioning keep nights cool and restful, and the large ensuite bathroom is yours alone. Your personal terrace is the place for a slow morning or for enjoying the views after a day in town.

Daily life at Casa Amigos happens around the garden and pool. The large pool has a shallow end for wading and sun loungers for long afternoons. When you want shade, there’s a covered terrace that catches the breeze. Palms, banana trees, bougainvillea, and native plants surround the area. Chito, the caretaker, looks after the gardens and checks the pool every day.

There are two kitchens to choose from. The palapa-covered poolside kitchen has a sink, refrigerator, large grill, and wood-burning pizza oven, so it works for a casual lunch or a pizza night with fellow guests. Up on the third floor, the main kitchen sits under the rooftop palapa and has all the essentials for cooking with fresh local produce. Plan dinner for golden hour: the evening breezes and Sayulita sunsets from up there are hard to beat.

The pool, terraces, and both kitchens are shared with guests from the other three suites, which gives the villa a friendly, relaxed feel. Staff service is included every day except Sunday, along with drinking water.

Lovely Home with Views — Best for Adults or Older Kids

The location was really good - close enough to walk to everything but not right in the heart of town. The rooms were nice and the view from the kitchen was beautiful. There could be more basic amenities included like staple kitchen supplies and shampoo in the bathrooms. We cooked a lot and there was a random amount of bowls, drinking glasses, very few seasonings etc. It was pretty bare bones for a 9 person group of us. With the living area on the bottom and the kitchen on the top, we went up and down a lot of stairs - not factoring into how we rated this house, but it makes meals/snacks by the pool more logistically challenging. This house is really not friendly for little kids just as an FYI for anyone with 6 and under children that don’t know how to swim. Between the pool, the stairs, railings and open kitchen windows, there’s some dangers posed to younger kids where you always have to be on guard (not factored into our rating, just something to be aware of).

Casa Los Amigos

We came to Sayulita for a wedding and are very happy we found Los Amigos. The property manager arranged a driver from the airport and had a golf cart waiting for us when we arrived. We like being able to walk to town and the beach. The kids loved the pool.

Best Sunset views!

We really enjoyed this house and the town of Sayulita. Yes, there were a lot of stairs, but all the better to work off those evening margaritas while watching the beautiful sunsets. We spent hours around the pool and enjoyed the easy walk to the beach. Thank you Melissa for all of your great recommendations and for helping us arrange massages. See you next year!

Great morning Views

Our group was happy with Casa Los Amigos. Our favorite part was morning breakfast in the kitchen watching the town come alive. The pool is big, beds are comfortable and the staff was super.

LOVE this house!

We were so happy to have found Casa Los Amigos, the perfect vacation rental for our group. We had 3 couples and a few kids and the house accommodated us perfectly, each family with their own space and enough outdoor area to enjoy the perfect Sayulita sunshine. The location was ideal, and easy walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. We will be back!

Perfect Place

Casa Los Amigos is the perfect place to stay for a group of friends. Four bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms offers much comfort and privacy. The pool and outdoor living area is so nice for hanging out. The kitchen and view from the kitchen is so nice. I highly recommend. Kerry, Melissa and Araceli are all super helpful and nice. The location is perfect, too.

Would recommend this property

We had a great stay at this property. Rooms were comfortable and cool. Kitchen was great for morning meals. The pool was necessary to cool down in the afternoons and evenings. The hosts were responsive and helpful during our entire stay. The hill to the house is a bit of a climb on foot, so we rented golf carts which weren't too expensive, and that helped us really see town. Would recommend this property. Have fun out there ya'll!
