Description

Casa Sandia Main Level in Sayulita is a 1-bedroom vacation rental on the hill above the town square, where panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Monkey Mountain, and the surrounding jungle set the tone for your stay. Evenings here are made for slowing down: the sky glows over the water at sunset, a cool breeze drifts in from the ocean, and the night fills with stars.

The home pairs classic old-world charm with an open floor plan designed for easy, relaxed living. Ceiling fans and air conditioning keep you comfortable, and the bedroom has a queen bed dressed in fine linens and en-suite bathroom. Two twin beds make it a great fit for couples, friends, or a small family.

Life on the main level moves naturally outdoors. Settle onto the deck with your morning coffee while birds flit through the lush gardens, then spend the afternoon by the lighted pool, which is just as inviting after dark. The pool, BBQ, and outdoor shower are shared with the Upper Level, so you can fire up the grill for a sunset dinner or rinse off the sand after a day at the beach.

The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to cook as much or as little as you like. It includes a microwave, coffee maker, and blender, so fresh smoothies and poolside drinks are covered.

From the decks and lookout spots around the casa, you can go whale watching in season and bird watching year-round, spotting the tropical species that live in the jungle nearby.

The neighborhood is quiet, yet you're only minutes from the beach and the heart of town. Head down for Sayulita's excellent restaurants, street food, and shopping, or explore the quiet, secluded beaches within walking distance. Your days can be as active as you like: book a surf lesson, join a yoga class, practice your Spanish, or take a day trip to nearby estuaries and archaeological sites.

For a romantic escape or a laid-back getaway with friends, Casa Sandia Main Level feels like a peaceful retreat with all of Sayulita close by.

Great value, the property felt secure and I would recommend!
The host was so sweet and helpful, super prompt. The space fit our group perfectly and the pool was perfect for an afternoon cool down. I would definitely stay again! We also loved how close it was to the main circle of downtown yet tucked away in the hills just enough to be away from the hussle and bustle. We loved the rooftop terrace and it even had a peek-a-boo view of the water and a great view of the city lights at night time. Great value, the property felt secure and I would recommend!

Close enough to everything, far enough for quietness
Me and my family loved staying here, it’s close to all the shops and restaurants, but just far enough to enjoy the quietness. The kids loved the pool.

The house had everything necessary and still it was close to everything.
by far the most beautiful house I’ve been in in the Riviera Nayarit. The view was incredible. The house had everything necessary and still it was close to everything. I would definitely recommend this beautiful home and I would gladly come back again also wanted to thank for letting us check in early.

Beautiful home. Perfect location!
Our family absolutely loved our stay at Casa Sandia! The house is lovely and has everything you need (and more!) for cooking, sleeping peacefully, relaxing poolside, and enjoying all Sayulita has to offer. With the plaza and beach just a five minute walk away, it was easy to come and go as we pleased. The beds are very comfortable, air conditioning a bonus, and the garden is beautiful! We loved sipping our coffee in the canopy of trees and listening to all the birds. Sunsets were incredible from the house too! Honestly, there is not a thing we would change. Cannot wait to visit again!

Comfortable, great view and hosts
Staying at Casa Sandia for two weeks was a superb experience. James and Sandy were excellent, responsive hosts. The place has a nice flow of inside to outside space and a great view. Being a little away from the main town area’s noise was a blessing. There was often loud music - karaoke, I think - going on at 3AM! Light sleepers might suffer, but overall, the place is peaceful, private and in a good location.

Home Away From
We stayed at Casa Sandia in March 2019. Sorry for the late review! We loved the place, it’s location, and views. Everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly. Super quick walk down to town using the little pathway. Hoping to book the whole place some time in 2022 or 2023! Jay and Tara from Victoria, BC Canada 🇨🇦 😊

We are friends of the owners and this is the second time we’ve stayed here for a week. We love the place and so did the couple we brought with us. We plan on coming back again next year.
Good birdwatching here. Love the new furniture on the upper terrace. Hilltop views, interesting architecture. Felt safe. Good value. Be prepared to climb many steps coming back from downtown.

Beautiful, comfortable space, awesome location, fantastic property owners/managers!
We didn't want to leave Casa Sandia, I highly recommend it! The location is very convenient, just a few minutes walk down the hill to the centro. We stayed in the upper unit and LOVED it, especially the top-most terrace space.

Also, the managers were extremely kind and fair to us in handling some reservation/travel challenges. I would definitely stay here again!

THANK YOU Casa Sandia!

Loved It!
Well, what can I say ‘Casa Sandia’ was wonderful. We rented the whole house left on Feb 21/17 , a couple upstairs, and 2 of us in the lower unit. The kitchens had everything you needed, micro, blender, toaster, pots and pans, dishes, coffee maker. Pool is small, a little chilly, but you sure needed it due to the hot weather. A beautiful view from the Casa on all three floors. We loved hearing the Rooster’s serenading the village around us(lots of them), plus the odd ‘Gobble, Gobble’ from the turkey and the ‘Hee Haw’ from the grey donkey next door. Oh yes, we had a visit from a local cat, not sure if she understood English but she sure knew where the refrigerator was, I think she had been there before. LOL A walk to the town of Sayulita was a hike down and back up by the pathway close by or you could walk the road which was longer, but you can chat with the locals or other ‘Gringo’s) there are Casa’s everywhere, and maybe a kind person would offer you a ride on a 4 wheeler or golf cart. Sayulita is bustling with surfers, hippies, yuppies, seniors and locals, lots of great restaurants and shops and the beer is cheap so you can sit and watch the surfers or paddle boarders ride the waves all day. We will be back……… thank you for a great vacation.
