We recently visited Sayulita. My husband and older son had a surfing lesson scheduled. That left me and my younger son to enjoy the afternoon poking around the town. My younger son is in a wheel chair. After some lunch and an attempt to tour the town, it was obvious that the cobbled streets and uneven sidewalks of this quaint town are not exactly handicap friendly. So we decided to rent a golf cart for an hour or so and tour around. Roy's was the closest rental place. We arrived at 3:00pm. I asked to rent a golf cart for an hour or so. They informed us that they do not have pricing per hour and would need to charge us the full fee for a whole day and the golf cart would need to be returned no later than 6:00pm. Their website clearly states a discount for people with disabilities. I tried to explain that we only needed it for an hour or so and asked to negotiate the price. The woman at the kiosk called Roy. Roy said no. After noticing that my son was in a wheel chair they did say we could go to another rental agency that rents by the hour. I explained that while that was a good idea, it was really difficult to walk/role the extra 1/2 mile with the wheel chair to other rental agency and I again asked if he would be willing to negotiate the price. That was my mistake because they then knew that going to another business was not an option for us and he stayed firm. To be fair...it's a business. That is his policy. Profit margins. I get it. But they had rented out every golf cart they had for the day and were obviously making plenty of money. Then I found out, from reading some reviews, that they have rented per. hour before. Shame on Roy! They would have earned my respect and a 5 star glowing review if they had been willing to bend a little bit to accommodate a handicap person. I will concede that the golf cart we rented was in good working condition and they were willing to store my son's wheel chair in the shop while we drove around; a small act of kindness. Sayulita is a sweet town; but this sour business left a bad taste in my mouth. To help support handicap people I encourage you to choose another rental agency.

Roy (#2) was very helpful, informative, and on time with the rental. No problems at all with the golf cart and was a great way to zip around town. Gracias Roy!
