InspirAction: Creating Space for Original Music in Sayulita

In a town known for its creativity, nightlife, and constant movement, InspirAction offers something refreshingly different: a space where original music is not background noise, but the main event.

Founded by a local artist, DJ, and sound engineer, InspirAction was born from a simple yet powerful question: why is so much original talent treated as entertainment, rather than art worth listening to? Drawing from years of experience in music production, live events, and sound design, InspirAction reimagines what a live music experience can be—intimate, intentional, and deeply human.

Each edition is carefully curated around a unique location and atmosphere, bringing together artists of all ages, genres, and backgrounds. The result is not a party, but a shared moment—one that invites presence, connection, and respect for the creative process.

1. For those who aren’t yet familiar with InspirAction, can you share what the event is and how it began?

InspirAction was born from a simple but deep question: why, in a region full of original talent, is art often consumed only as fast entertainment? After years working as a rapper, MC, DJ, producer, and sound engineer, I realized there was a missing space—one where the audience truly listens, respects, and connects with original music.

The seed was planted in 2021 when an Australian friend invited me to an intimate, Tiny Desk–style event. I participated both as an artist and as the sound engineer, and in that moment everything clicked. I realized the idea had been with me for a long time—it just needed action.

InspirAction is the result of all my experience in hip hop, live events, sound production, weddings, and working closely with artists, brought together into a community-driven concept where the musician is not decoration, but the center. The mission is simple: to give artists the respect they deserve and help elevate their work to the next level.

2. What inspired you to create a space focused specifically on original music and singer-songwriters?

I’ve always wondered why it’s so difficult for people to trust ideas that aren’t already popular. Today, what’s familiar often comes with automatic approval, while anything new has to constantly prove its worth.

That changes when you create a space where people arrive open to discovering something new—a place where the audience listens, supports, follows the artists, leaves tips, and most importantly, reminds them that their music has value.

InspirAction also came from something personal. I needed a place to perform my introspective rap, a style that doesn’t always fit into traditional bar or party settings. When that space didn’t exist, I realized it had to be created.

That’s the heart of the project: giving life to artistic proposals that deserve to be heard, even if they aren’t yet well known.

3. InspirAction welcomes artists of all ages and genres. Why is that diversity so important to you?

At InspirAction, we believe in real inclusion. Age, gender, or country of origin don’t matter—what matters is connecting on a human level before an artistic one. Our goal is to create an experience where everyone vibrates somewhere between fun, surprise, and emotional sensitivity.

Diversity is essential to the project. Like a painting or a song, each person contributes texture, silence, intention, and color—and we carefully curate that mix. We specialize in creating atmospheres, and sometimes intentionally breaking them, only to rebuild with a new energy and take the audience on an emotional journey within a single event.

This is where my DJ intuition—and the team’s—comes in: knowing when a certain vibe becomes a “banger,” and when it’s time to shift the energy. That balance of contrasts is what makes InspirAction unique.

4. How has the Sayulita community responded to past editions of InspirAction?

The response has grown organically. Each edition brings new faces through word of mouth, which for us is the best kind of promotion. It’s inspiring to see other projects take influence from what we do, just as we’re inspired by others.

That said, we know InspirAction has something that’s hard to replicate—its human essence, its mission and vision, and the way we guide the audience’s energy throughout the experience.

5. How do you select the participating artists, and what kind of atmosphere do you aim to create for them?

At InspirAction, we trust intuition. As a DJ, I know that every singer-songwriter is a powerful card—you just have to place it in the right moment and setting for their energy to shine.

Each edition is born from the location itself. We change venues every month, and based on the space, its personality, and the time of day, we design the concept and the lineup. That keeps the project fresh and creatively alive.

People sometimes say, “I’ve already seen these artists in bars.”
The difference here is context. This is an intimate show—people listen to the message, feel the reinterpretations, and the music can breathe without distractions.

It’s proof that changing the context changes the experience—and changes what we’re capable of feeling.

Above all, we want artists to feel valued. To arrive and know they’re supported with the right tools, trust, and a genuine invitation to enjoy the experience. We look for musicians who come with humility, openness, and a desire to share. That energy is what sustains InspirAction.

6. Why do you think it’s important to create authentic and safe spaces for artistic expression in Sayulita?

Art triggers something intangible—it connects us and brings us into the present moment. It’s one of the deepest freedoms we have, and appreciating it is a way of protecting it.

Creating spaces to share art strengthens a collective vision in a single moment. It reminds us that we’re not alone when we imagine “creative craziness.” These gatherings affirm that there are others out there who feel, visualize, and turn ideas into action—and that shared recognition is essential to InspirAction.

7. What challenges have you faced organizing a cultural event like this in a town as dynamic as Sayulita?

Each edition brings its own challenges, but the biggest ones are promotion and transporting sound equipment. For us, sound quality is non-negotiable—if the artist sounds good and feels comfortable, the show’s quality follows.

Even without a vehicle to move equipment or visuals, I’ve made it work thanks to amazing friends and volunteers. Keeping the vision clear, with their support, has allowed us to raise the standard in every detail.

Also, while Sayulita is a party town, InspirAction is not a party. It’s an intimate “pre-drinks” experience focused on listening, not losing control. My role is to guide the audience’s energy toward presence and connection. That essence is non-negotiable—it’s what makes the project what it is.

8. How can the community support InspirAction and help it continue to grow?

The most valuable way to support InspirAction is by being part of it. Attend the shows, invite friends, follow us on Instagram @inspir.action_concert, join the organizing team, purchase official merch, and support the artists with tips—either during the event or via PayPal.

Every gesture strengthens this space and allows us to keep pushing original music forward within the community.

9. What do you hope people—both artists and audience members—take away from attending InspirAction?

I truly believe art reminds us that we are all connected. Even the smallest gestures can inspire someone, which is why giving your all is so important.

For us, quality is a form of respect for the community. At InspirAction, differences dissolve when art comes from the heart. That’s the vision: a space where connection is real, energy is honest, and people always leave wanting to experience it again.

10. Is there anything else you’d like to share about the future of InspirAction?

We’re beginning to expand beyond the bay with our next event, starting in Puerto Vallarta. We’re also planning a future edition in San Pancho.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the project—stay connected, because we’ll be sharing exciting updates very soon.
