Meet Luciana Sol of AlimentAcción: Cacao Rituals & Conscious Dining in Sayulita
In a town known for creativity, wellness, and connection, Luciana “Sol” has created something truly unique. Through AlimentAcción, she blends nutrition, spirituality, and conscious cooking to offer cacao rituals, private chef experiences, and sensory culinary workshops that nourish both body and spirit.
Originally from Argentina, Sol brings together her background in nutrition, holistic health, yoga, and energy work with her deep love for food. Her approach is simple yet powerful: meals prepared with intention, ingredients sourced locally whenever possible, and experiences that connect people to the deeper meaning of nourishment.
We sat down with Sol to learn more about her journey, her passion for cooking, and how AlimentAcción came to life here in Sayulita.
A Journey to Sayulita
Sol arrived in Sayulita after spending nearly two years traveling throughout Mexico.
“I went on a vision quest in Ixtlán del Río, and many people spoke to me about this area,” she explains. “At first I came just for a week, but life kept bringing me back until I finally decided to stay.”
With a degree in Nutrition, additional training in holistic nutrition, and experience as a yoga instructor and Reiki practitioner, Sol’s relationship with food has always been about more than just cooking.
“I truly love cooking,” she says. “When I started studying holistic nutrition, I had to learn to make everything from scratch — things like cookies, dairy alternatives, and healthier versions of traditional foods. Over time, it became a deep devotion to the kitchen.”
Today, that devotion has evolved into a way of sharing her philosophy of life.

Cooking as a Form of Connection
Sol’s business in Sayulita grew organically.
“When I first arrived, I began offering conscious eating workshops where I shared recipes and nutritional principles. From there people started inviting me to cook for events and gatherings.”
Cooking, she says, is her love language.
“I realized that sharing food is a way of communicating without words — expressing my vision of nutrition, spirituality, and life.”
Her offerings now include private chef experiences, cacao ceremonies, sensory cooking classes, and retreats focused on real food and nourishment.

What Makes AlimentAcción Unique
Sol’s experiences combine health, culture, and spirituality in ways that surprise many guests.
“During dinner I might tell you about the nutritional properties of a seed while serving you a dish with a local edible flower you didn’t know existed,” she says. “If someone tells me how they’re feeling, I might prepare a tea to help harmonize their energy.”
Her goal is not just to serve a meal — but to create an experience where people learn something new about food, their bodies, and the world around them.
Guests often describe her cooking as colorful, harmonious, and full of love.
Two dishes that hold special meaning for her are her cacao mousse and homemade gnocchi, both inspired by memories of her grandmother.
Rooted in Community
For Sol, Sayulita is a place where people are encouraged to be their authentic selves.
“It’s a place where people dare to try new things and where differences are embraced with love.”
Whenever possible she sources ingredients from local producers, purchasing cheeses, yogurts, vegetables, and other products directly from nearby farms and vendors.
She also enjoys recommending local guides, therapists, and businesses to the people she meets through her retreats and dining experiences.

A Perfect Morning in Sayulita
Sol’s ideal morning captures the simple magic of life here.
“Waking up before sunrise to go surfing,” she says. “Then grabbing a coffee at Paninos or MF and running into people in the street to talk about life.”
Another favorite ritual is watching the sun rise behind the mountains while preparing mate and listening to the birds before heading off to cook breakfast for guests.
And when it comes to capturing the spirit of Sayulita?
“The smell of greenery… and the song La Chona,” she laughs.
Looking Ahead
Sol has exciting plans for the future, including a Real Food Retreat at the end of May, designed to help participants reconnect with food through the senses while learning about local ingredients and nourishment.
She also plans to launch one-on-one retreats focused on detox and system reset through real food and ritual nourishment.
