Beautiful, relaxing location.
Stayed at Casa Verde during the Holy Week and it was a perfect location to retreat to when the town got too busy. The view is amazing and the pool is wonderfully private that you feel at times, that your the only people on this end of town. We spent many lazy afternoons hanging out there with the local iguanas. Renting a golf cart helped us enjoy the property more since it’s a good walk into town, but is by no means a necessity.

Gorgeous and comfortable
This house is stunning! The open living room that looks onto the pool and a small sliver of ocean is seen through the lush trees shading the property. The upstairs is open to the elements but strangely there were no bugs bothering us as we sipped cervezas with our feet in the dipping pool in the living room. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need, dishes, glasses, ziploc bags, bowls for popcorn, tupperwares for keeping your chips fresh. The fridge is cold and there is a stove/oven and microwave available although we didn't use them because the food in Sayulita is AMAZING! (But seriously skip the street tacos even though they taste amazing - they are dangerous and will keep you down for a day). The bedrooms are air conditioned and ice cold which you will appreciate because it is HOT. I slept like a baby. Each bedroom has it's own ensuite bathroom and the showers are open to the outdoors which is pretty cool. The first few days we didn't have hot water (not that big of a deal) but I notified the owner and she had them turn on the hot water heater and apologized profusely for the oversite. Carol was so helpful and referred a great transportation company to pick us up at the airport (with cold beers!) and stopped at the Mega so we could stock up on beers and tequila. You don't need anything else as Carol has towels, floaties for the pool, hair dryers and dish soap; Rent a golf cart to zip around, we could have walked to town but sometimes it is just too hot and it's fun to explore with the cart. It's a two minute walk to the beach which is lovely and the water is perfect. I would definately recommend this house for families 3 couples! Gorgeous.

Wonderful vacation. Great location
My husband , mom, mother in law and my friend stayed at Casa Verde in July 2016. Our stay was wonderful! Carol is a great with communication and we had absolutely no trouble !
The house is great and met our needs. We rented a car which since it was the rainy season. It's a little ways into town but nothing treacherous. There is a beach right down the way and it is quiet and enjoyable.
We had a great experience and I would love to stay there again.
Thanks carol!

Wonderfully equipped, open-air villa with everything you could need
Just back from a week at Casa Verde and would highly recommend this villa! This was our 2nd time in Sayulita and this home exceeded our expectations. It is fully-stocked with everything you would want - several coffee makers, two blenders, any type of cooking utensil and spice, and lots of board games and DVDs, hair dryers and even first aid supplies. We spent many hours in the open-air living/kitchen area and thoroughly enjoyed the dipping pool! I had worried about bugs and animals in the open space, but honestly it wasn't a problem at all! It's about a 15-minute walk into town - either along the beach or through the neighborhood - not bad at all unless it's raining or you're visiting in August in the ridiculous heat! We went into town to the beach during the day and would walk down to the closer beach to watch the sunset each evening. Our only disappointment was that the trees had grown in front of the house and the ocean view is now just a peak through branches. You can still hear the surf though - and if you're looking for a sunset view, the beach is literally a minute's walk down the street. A car isn't necessary unless you want to take day trips (or you're visiting in August or have mobility issues). A golf cart would be great but we found them ridiculously expensive and rented a car for about the same price. We were pleasantly surprised to find some great new restaurants near the house and wound up getting take-out several nights (Pizza Venezia has great pizza and pasta at unbelievable prices!) so we could enjoy the house, play music and games. and take a nighttime dip in the pool! This is a great house for a family or two couples. Thanks Carol!

What a Wonderful House!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Verde! Six of us arrive on April 6th and spent a glorious week there. The house is simply gorgeous! We loved the open air ambiance and especially the dipping and swimming pools. Just a short walk to a beautiful beach too.
Our experience was memorable and we can't wait to go back!
Thank you Carol!!!

What a great vacation spot!! Casa Verde and Sayulita highly recommended.
The 4 of us so enjoyed your Casa Verde for the sweet place it is.

The pool, grounds and building have matured into a lovely place (having been to Casa Verde once several years ago). The dwelling is so well kitted out that we wanted for nothing: comfortable and abundant furniture, lots of information on the area and the appliances, 2 coffee makers (2 of us love our decaf; 2 must have the real thing), any plate-bowl-kitchen utensil etc you really need, deep-woods off, first-aid kits, nice soaps and towels, beach towels and chairs, etc…. Beyond any rental I’ve been in by a lot.

Loved the pool, shaded chairs and floatation devices (maybe next time we'll use the BBQ). So nice sometimes to have a few hours "at home" among lush surroundings by the pool or in the breezy, open living room and the unusual LR wading pool. The openness of your house is really cool - literally. As we ran into some unseasonable heat/humidity, we were grateful for the air-conditioned bedrooms. Great selection of DVDs by the way.

We were so happy you had information on was great to have a number for an English-speaking doctor in town. His rates were so fair and, most importantly, he easily diagnosed and addressed the malady. We enjoyed the trip to the Mariettas for whale watching and snorkeling and would recommend Patricia's in town for those preferring to go from Sayulita rather than driving to Punta Mita.

It is a unique and comfortable house on the sea, in a great climate, near an active tourism town, with excellent fresh food. Loved the restaurants, beaches and, yes, the jewelry stores!

We are planning to book another stay for next winter.

Nice place to stay with family
Stayed for 6 nights at Casa Verde with my family (3 couples). Pleasant backyard/pool area and amazing view living room/kitchen area. Casa Verde is a little out of town, but we found that to be much more to our liking than right in town. Plus, the beach area closest to the house is much more pleasant and less crowded.

Thanks for the great stay!

Perfectly appointed and a beautiful home!!
Casa Verde is absolutely perfect! We were in town for a wedding and although we lost power due to a malfunction on the wedding day, I must say Carols house is fantastic. It is so well appointed. Every dish, spice, piece of information and amenity you could need was accounted for. Even the bathrooms have things you may need..but never brought. Upon walking into Carols home we were instantly impressed with the open air kitchen, living room and dining room. The pictures don't lie….it really is stunning. The cold dipping pool was really appreciated as it was so hot. All the rooms are positioned apart from each other giving everyone the privacy they needed, not to mention each en-suite bathroom has an open air shower. A true gem, we would stay again and again in this sanctuary in the hills. The view, the quiet, the pool….just everything. Thanks so much Carol.

Beautiful home, we would stay here again!
We just returned from a week long visit to Casa Verde. The house is beautiful as are the grounds and pool. We prepared many wonderful meals in the well appointed kitchen. We did not need air conditioning in the main bedrooms, the ocean breeze was perfect. We loved being lulled to sleep be the sounds of the ocean. We hiked up the hill to the top, the views were incredible. We appreciated being on the north side, especially while the surf competitions were going on, the beach was still quiet and private in front of Casa Verde. The house was well stocked with water, towels, soap, first aid kit and even spices! The staff were gracious and helpful. Carol was an excellent hostess, she offers plenty of information on the house, Sayulita and surrounding areas. The washer and dryer came in handy as well.
