Description

CASA CONTIGO is a 2-3+ bedroom luxury escape with a 23-foot HEATED (Dec-April) INFINITY POOL and stunning OCEAN VIEWS from ALL ROOMS & SHOWERS.   Located in one of the most desirable areas in Sayulita, the casa sits 100 feet above the surf, 100 yards or so from the beach, and an easy 10 minute walk to town.

CASA CONTIGO can be rented separately as a 2+ bedroom home, or combined with its CASITA to create a contiguous 3 bedroom (with additional bonus room), property by way of an adjoining interior locking door and a circular staircase.  The CASITA may also be separated from the main house by way of a PRIVATE ENTRANCE.

2-BEDROOM (Main House Option):

Stunning views of the ocean and both surf breaks from practically every room in the house.

Located only 100 feet above the surf and just 100 yards or so from the beach.

Easy 8-10 minute walk to town.  No car needed.

The main level of the house is designed as an open-air “living terrace,” that includes the kitchen (with high-end appliances, purified-water icemaker, and dishwasher), living room/lounge and dining area, all surrounded by the infinity pool and water view.

Cutting-edge heated (Dec-April) salt-water infinity pool, approx. 23 feet long and 4 ½ feet deep with a bench spanning length of pool and overlooking the ocean.  If you have not tried a salt-water pool before, you will be pleasantly surprised.  The salt is very light – this is NOT ocean water.

The upper level has two equally appointed air-conditioned bedrooms with private bathrooms.  Both bedrooms and showers have stunning ocean views.  A small sitting room/retreat with a built-in couch (could possibly be used as extra bed - please call to discuss appropriateness for your group) connects the bedrooms.

Roof deck with pergola-covered bar and dining area, kitchen (with sink, frig, burner and gas BBQ) and a 360-degree view spanning north towards San Pancho (San Francisco) and south towards Monkey Mountain.

All levels are great for both bird watching (including Black-throated Magpie-jays; Citreoline & Elegant Trogons; Streak-backed Orioles; Pale-billed, Lineated, and Golden-cheeked Woodpeckers; Ferruginous Pygmy Owls; and Rufous-bellied Chachalacas, just to name a few!), and iguana watching (up to 23 iguanas lounge/feed/interact daily in a neighboring tree).

Specialty “granzon” sand-imbedded floors surround the pool and roof deck.

Purified, drinkable water throughout house (including icemaker).

Highspeed Internet/ Personal safes/ Pool floaters/ Beach towels, cooler, chairs and umbrella/ Boogie boards available.

New construction built with special attention to privacy and security.  Steep drop-offs may not be appropriate for smaller children.

Because we also love to travel, but hate having to buy a bunch of staples (most of which do not get used), we have stocked the pantry at Casa Contigo with many basic items including:  margarita salt; table salt; peppercorns and grinder; cooking oils; vinegars; bottled hot salsa/sauce; microdyne (to clean/soak vegetables); napkins; paper towels; coffee filters (but not coffee); a starter selection of teas; some basic spices; dish sponge; dish and dishwasher soap; plastic wrap and tinfoil.  And in the bathrooms we provide the basics:  blow dryers; toilet paper; hand/body soap; shampoo and conditioner.

3rd BEDROOM (casita) & Bonus Room (includes Main House described above):

Mexican beach-style loft nestled among palm trees and an iguana-filled fig tree with filtered ocean views.

Large (approx. 600 sq. ft.) fully enclosable living space with 4-meter high ceilings, giant retractable picture windows, and a private outdoor/covered garden.

Sexy, split-level space; consisting of living and dining areas, a full kitchen with bar counter, a raised bedroom, generously sized closet, and bathroom with an ocean and palm view shower.

Internal locking staircase connects casita with main house.  Casita also has a private, secure gated entrance.

Specialty “granzon” sand-imbedded concrete floors.

Separate bonus open air "lounge" level below casita and garden with large "L" shaped couch (can be converted into two twin or one king bed) and full bathroom (please call to discuss appropriateness for use as sleeping area for your group).

Purified, drinkable water throughout the casita.

Casa Contigo is a non-smoking home.  No pets allowed, including service animals.

Best most beautiful place to stay in Sayulita
I have stayed at Casa Contigo 4 times soon to be 5. I can't say enough about the quality and beauty of the home. Every room is immaculate and the views are breathtaking. The heart of the house is the kitchen and pool area. The best days are spent floating around in the infinity pool, listening to music and drinking a refreshing beverage. The Casa is minutes from the beach but we never even go there because everything you need is in your living Room! The sounds of the ocean puts you to sleep at night and the birds sing you songs in the morning. It's a short walk to town but my friends and I always rent a golf cart to get around. The rooftop is a great place for sunset dinners. We often go down to the local pizzeria and grab a pizza to go. We have dinner on the rooftop patio and play cards into the night. You can also cook up there to if you are so inclined. The owners Tracey and Evan are so accommodating. They will help arrange transportation to and from the airport and if there is anything you need during your stay they have a great house manager just a phone call away. I have traveled to many countries and Casa Contigo is one of my most favorite places to be. I will continue to return year after year because it reallly is a magical place.

Exquisite Rental
Casa Contigo was the perfect rental for our family of 5. The downstairs casita was a private suite for my husband and me, and our teenaged children shared the upstairs bedrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed the open air kitchen and pool during the day and spent our evenings on the upper deck. The house was expertly designed to offer both privacy and gathering spaces for those travelling. The filtered water, heated pool and wifi were all just icing on the cake.

The attention to detail that went into designing and decorating this home is evident. The space is both luxurious and efficient. From its hillside perch, every room in the home has a spectacular view of the ocean, which is only a few minute walk from the home. The fresh air and breeze that flows through every room is a welcome respite from city life. It is so wonderful to wake with the sun and sound of crashing waves.

Evan and Tracey, the homeowners, were terrific hosts. Communication during the reservation process and stay was excellent. They offered wonderful suggestions for airport transportation, golf cart rentals, poolside massages, boating excursions and private chefs. Nothing disappointed.

We highly recommend Casa Contigo for stays in Sayulita and hope to return sooner than later.

Awesome week at Casa Contigo
Thank you to Evan and Tracey for building such an amazing house in Sayulita. This place was really perfect. The living area is just as advertised, and has amazing views of the iguanas and birds. Very tranquil in the morning. The bedrooms are awesome and we were truly thankful for the great A/C. The kids loved watching the tv during breaks from swimming and sunning. We used the casita for other family and they were thrilled with it. They felt it was much bigger than the photos made it appear. We had a very lovely catered dinner on the rooftop deck one night (we were there in a particularly hot week so we didn't spend a ton of time up there, but would if we had been earlier in the season. You could easily walk to town, but we rented a golf cart, which was very nice. The road was steep because one of the other roads was closed during our stay, but it was not a problem for us. Definitely take the time to check out the book that is provided that describes the building of the house. We stayed at a beachfront home last time which was also lovely but the sunsets and view from Contigo cannot be beat. Thanks again!

View, Location, Accomodations...OUTSTANDING!
Casa Contigo is simply amazing in its thoughtful design and modern comforts. Every square foot has an awesome view. Coffee on the roof deck was definitely one of our favorite spots. The whole house water system is filtered for drinking. The walk to town was simple and we probably made 3 to 4 trips a day. There is a beach within a 2 minute walk and some restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The layout of the bedrooms, kitchens, and common areas is as perfect as you could imagine. Great use of space and allows privacy for two couples. Four of us (two couples) stayed in the Main Casa and it was perfect...wish we could have stayed longer. FYI: This property is not good for kids due to the pool, stairs, and low rails. Evan & Tracy (Owners) greeted us and it was awesome to hear their story on building the property. They know the town very well and were very informative on restaurants and attractions. The best attraction is definitely Casa Contigo.

Casa Contigo is Fabulous
We just returned from our stay in Sayulita and the Casa Contigo. I can honestly say that the Casa exceeded our expectations. The house is immaculate and just perfect for the 4 of us who shared it. The view is spectacular and the home is well appointed. Tracy and Evan were in town and were very helpful and delightful hosts. We were in Sayulita for a wedding and had many guests visit our casa and it was unamous that we had the best accomodations of the entire group, including those who stayed right on the beach. I would honestly recommend the Casa Contigo to adults (probably not so good for small children as it is perched on a hillside and balconies everywhere) who were looking to relax and be comfortable. Definitely worth the rent we paid.

Best vacation rental EVER!
We took an anniversary trip to Sayulita and choose Casa Contigo for our visit -- and we are so glad we did.

The casa is incredibly romantic and private, and swimming in the infinity pool under the stars at night was such a special thing.

We went fishing with a local guy, and had the best time BBQing our catch on the roof deck of the casa while watching an amazing sunset. We also loved having the hammock and the swings on the roof deck to lounge around on.

And the views...spectacular!

The owners were very helpful and gave many great tips, including recommending a masseuse (Raquel) who gave us some of the best massages that we ever had, which we enjoyed poolside.

We will remember our stay at the casa as one of our best ever vacations (and will certainly return to the casa as soon we can!).

Casa Contigo - Wow
What an incredible home. The views, layout, location, and privacy all far exceeded my wife’s and my expectations. The beach and town are short and easy jaunts on foot. We felt safe walking to and from the house both day and night, and certainly felt secure in the home. Other reviews say pictures don’t do the property justice, and they are correct. As nice as Casa Contigo appears on screen, in person it is even better. Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the surf brought so much peace to both of us, and to be able to gaze out over the beach and bay with only the iguanas and tropical birds (and incredible stars at night) for company was perfect. Sayulita is a small and wonderful town with some good food options. When we chose to leave Casa Contigo there was plenty to do and explore in the village, though the best part was always coming home to one of the nicest and most serene properties we’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. We have no reason to explore other housing options for our next trip, as we would certainly plan around the availability of Casa Contigo. This place would be very hard to beat.

Romantic getaway with a world class view
We've been renting privately owned villas for a dozen or so years, mainly for a romantic getaway during the winter, and always struggle with finding a place with everything we're looking for that isn't designed and priced for 10 or 12 people. We definitely found that and more in Casa Contigo. The villa is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a couple. The view, the privacy, the design and furnishings, and the heated infinity pool are all world class. Being able to drink the water right out of the tap, shower, and brush your teeth without worrying is icing on the cake. The only villa we've rented that even comes close is on the Caribbean island of St. Barts at more than twice the price.
When you walk in the front door, you're looking across the infinity pool at this amazing view of the ocean, the point to the west of town and part of the town. Upstairs, the identical bedrooms have even more jaw dropping views, which you can enjoy while lying in bed, and doors that open to the sea breeze and sound of the surf. When you think it couldn't get any better, you take the stairs to the rooftop deck where you can see the entire town and coastline. It's pretty amazing.
The villa is in a neighborhood, but designed to ensure privacy and the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. Sayulita itself is a funky, lively Mexican town right on the beach with a surprising number of interesting shops, not the usual places full of cheap tourist junk. We found several very good restaurants and a bunch of sidewalk taco stands that were excellent. The beach is easily accessible from the villa and great for sunning, walking, boogie boarding, surfing and swimming. We rented a car so we could explore a couple of towns to the north and for general convenience, but you wouldn't have to since town is only about a 10 or 15 minute walk. A lot of folks rent golf carts, which seemed like a good option, especially since parking a car downtown can be challenging at times.
I'm pretty sure we'll be back to Sayulita, and if we do, there's absolutely no question that we'll stay at Casa Contigo.

worth it to be on top
Driving up the steep hill to find the house was completely worth it upon opening the front door. What a view of the pool and bay out front of Sayulita. I thought it couldn't get better until i made it to the rooftop for sunset. A well appointed house with all the ammenities inside and upstairs one really needs after a day at the beach and the concrete house says relatively cool all day. The filtered tap water system is a real bonus.

Response from Owner/Manager on 11-12-2014
Thank you so much for your awesome review! We are so glad you enjoyed the casa so much -- including the amazing views, and the filtered water system.

We did want to put the "steep hill" comment in context for future guests, as it sounds like we are way up a hill. The main pool/living level of Casa Contigo sits only 100 feet above sea level -- just at palm-top height (with the two main casa bedrooms and roof deck above that, and the casita and bonus room below). Thus, we are as low down the hill on the north-end of town as you can be and still have the amazing views that these guests enjoyed. For a visual of our location, please see the third to last photo on this listing, which shows a picture of the north-end of Sayulita, with Casa Contigo circled. Casa Contigo is an easy two-minute walk down to the beach (and a couple extra minutes back up to the casa), and a ten-minute walk to town. The vast majority of our guests take advantage of a shuttle service to get to and from the airport (as well as to stop for grocery shopping on the way to the casa), and then enjoy strolling to the beach or town (which we think is one of the charms of Sayulita). With that said, if you don't want to make the short 100-foot walk up to casa, or if you have mobility problems, or are coming during the hotter, humid rainy season (June-Oct), you might enjoy renting a car or golf cart.

Beautiful Oasis in Paradise
I just returned from a week long stay at Casa Contigo. I went with my best friend on our annual girls trip. I can't say enough about how wonderful Casa Contigo is. We have already booked again for next year. The moment I walked in I was in total awe. I had seen the pictures on the website but it is even more amazing in person. Where do I start...... Obviously the views are incredible. The kitchen and pool are the heart of the house and it was absolute bliss being able to swim, read, relax and and have snacks right there. One night we had a professional chef come over and cook for us. We hung out by the pool sipping mango margaritas while he prepared are amazing meal. It was delicious and so much fun. I highly recommend doing that at least once. The beds are so comfortable. I slept like a baby with the windows open listening to the sound of the ocean. My friend and I are beach lovers but there is no need to hang out anywhere but the Casa so we never did. The sitting room area is comfortable and after awhile in the sun I would move over to one of the couches and read which often turned into an afternoon siesta. Everything in the house was high quality and in working order. The water is filtered so you can drink right from the tap and not worry about keeping your mouth closed in the shower. And, as others have mentioned the iguana tree is so neat. I think we counted up to 10 at one time hanging out in the tree. It was fun to watch them move about during the day. There is also some great bird watching right from the casa as well.
The owners Tracy and Evan are wonderful gracious hosts. They met us at the door when we arrived and were so welcoming and kind. They showed us everything we needed to know and gave us some great tips on where to go and where to eat. There is also a very detailed binder in the house that gives you great tips for things to do in town.
The house sits on the top of a hill so we rented a golf cart for the week. It is not necessary but it was fun and convenient to be able to get to town to pick up something quick and get back to the casa.
If you are looking for an amazing place to get away and just completely relax then look no further. You will not be disappointed. The great thing about Casa Contigo is you really feel like you are away in this luxury private home but town is just a hop skip and a jump down the road. So if you want to be around people and get some margaritas and food in a busier environment you can without a lot of travel time. You will love it!

Before we designed and built Casa Contigo, we spent many years renting and visiting other casas in town. From these experiences, we learned what was both good and bad about the location and design of houses around town, as well as property management. As the contractors, we were at the jobsite everyday, making sure every design detail was just so, from maximizing the amazing views in every room to the detailed stone work, and the furniture and metal work that we designed and had custom built. Our guests notice this attention to detail while luxuriating in the casa and enjoying the ocean view, the incredible sunsets, the 23-foot heatable infinity pool, and 360 degree view roof deck. We also bring this attention to detail to managing the property.
