Description

Casa de Ensueño in Sayulita is located south of the village square in the picturesque Sayulita, Mexico. It consists of six beautiful one-bedroom casitas, and a large Penthouse. All are tastefully furnished and completely equipped to provide every convenience during your vacation. The views from the private patios provide ocean and village views. The secure enclosed grounds have been professionally landscaped, and each unit has a separate entrance from the courtyard.

The buildings showcase the beautiful handiwork of Mexican artisans and journeymen, from the stone walkways surrounding the pool and leading to each apartment, to the bathrooms with hand painted sinks and tiles in the large showers.

Location: Casa de Ensueno is located on Calle Naranjito (street of little oranges) a quiet dead-end street in Sayulita in a friendly, safe neighborhood with about a eight minute walk to the beach and the village square. The property sits on a small hillside above the street and from your private patio you can enjoy outdoor dining surrounded by tropical plants and the romantic Sayulita ocean views.

Casita Amenities: The interior is tastefully furnished with a comfortable 7 foot built-in sofa, dining table and chairs, and a fully-equipped kitchen. The sleeping area has a comfortable king-size bed.(most units) a built-in safe and air conditioning in each casita. There is a door between the adjoining patios that can be unlocked to accommodate families or friends traveling together. Our design allows us to offer a range of rental options and prices to accommodate guests with different vacation needs.

Regarding check in dates: We have a Friday Check in policy during High Season and Holiday Season, with a seven day minimum stay. In Low Season we are flexible with arrival/departure dates and length of stay. Minimum rental period in the low season is four nights. Please feel free to ask us about your specific dates during all our seasons.

Great accommodations close to town
Every time we come to Sayulita we look forward to our stay at Casa de Ensueno. It is a quick walk to the center of town, yet far enough away that it is quite. We stayed in casita #3 and it has a great view and everything you need. Great patio with bbq, fully stocked kitchen. Bed is very comfortable. Jose and Bella do an excellent job taking care of the property and keeping things clean and tidy. They will help you with anything you need.We definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a place in sayulita.. great value..

Best place to stay in Sayulita!
We have come to sayulita the last 5 years in a row. We have stayed at a few other places in town and this was hands down the best place we have stayed. It was the perfect spot just far away from town but close enough to walk with no problem and walk with our surfboards. It was so nice to walk up the hill from the busy town to the the quite retreat of casa de ensueno.
The booking was smooth with great communication. We were greeted by Jose whom was very helpful in showing us all around the Casitas and helping to carry our luggage and groceries up to our room. He is there all day is you need anything.
We rented 3 rooms the penthouse and casita 3 and 4. All were just perfect with a full kitchen and beautiful views from the balconies.Fresh water is provided. The property is very well maintained from the immaculate condition of the casitas to the lush landscape outside. There are banana trees, tropical plants, pepper plants, parrots and hummingbirds around the property. The pool is just perfect to relax by after a long day of surfing or hanging out at the beach. The pool feels like you are sitting in a tropical paradise.
Thru Casa de Ensueuno you can also hire Chris for surf lessons. He is a wonderful instructor he has helped my son Max catch waves the last few years in Sayulita. I would not use anyone else for lessons and surf guiding.
I would highly recommend staying at Casa De Ensueno!!

Casa de Ensueno a perfect window on Sayulita and surfing
We stayed for a week in the penthouse in Casa de Ensueno and absolutely loved it! The view is amazing and location perfect for enjoying Sayulita. It's an easy walk into town and the hikes through the jungle to Playa de los Muertos and Playa de Carricitos are right at hand. (Carricitos is worth the extra effort--one of the most secluded beaches we've ever seen!) The space in the penthouse is amazing--plenty of room and beautiful, and we felt very well taken care of. A highlight for us was surfing with Chris Rodriguez (the son of one of the owners). Chris is a truly excellent surf instructor, and he was able to customize a multi-day regimen for the four of us (2 adults and 2 kids) based on our goals and progress. Chris is also a fun person and great host--we learned a lot about Sayulita and Nayarit from him. This was our first time in Mexico and was a wonderful cultural experience. We were there for Semana Santa (Holy Week--kind of like Mexican spring break), and staying at Casa de Ensueno gave us the best of both worlds--we were close enough to the festivities to appreciate and experience them, but we were able to retreat to the calm of Ensueno (up on the hill above town). Sayulita is a special town and we felt welcomed and safe the whole time we were there. Highly recommend!

If you can do 50 stairs, you'll love the view, and the amenities, including the patio and pool
First of all, Jose and Bella were wonderful in helping out. I was truly impressed with Jose's carrying luggage and groceries for three all the way up those fifty steps at break-neck speed: amazing. Whenever we needed a taxi to go into the town centre, Jose not only phoned, but closer to the time of arrival double-checked that it was on its way. Had my wife been in better physical condition, we would have walked the ten minutes down Naranjito Calle to Nine Heroes and on to the town square, but her back problems meant we needed a taxi (very quick and inexpensive) or a golf-cart ride. It's nice being a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of the main streets and being able to look out over the jungle canopy, even if work on the casa across the street was a little noisy at times, and the wild chickens greeted the morning cacophonously! The pool was lovely at any time of day, although not heated much. But what I particularly liked was our spacious casita, fully air-conditioned--although at this time of the year we did not need to run it all the time. The tile-work was lovely, the decorations tasteful, and the double-bed extremely comfortable. The fridge was a little old-fashioned, but worked well, and once I got the hang of lighting the gas stove, I found cooking easy. The shower was as spacious as the other rooms, and the supply of hot water adequate for several showers every morning. Storage space was plentiful, too, including an open closet in which to hang clothes and a number of wicker multi-drawered cabinets. Maybe it was just the time of the year or the age of the other guests, but the property was usually quiet after sundown, except for the first few nights of our stay, when bands playing for the festival in the village square were raucously belting out everything from mariachi to Mexican rap (if there is such a thing). Security at the gate was very good, as was the wifi on the property. I suggest that the online guide for the property specify that there is no way around the fifty stairs from the street; since the property is without an elevator, people with mobility issues will have difficulty both going out and coming back to the casita, particularly if they are on the top level, as we were. Those with lung, heart, back, and leg problems should rent only at the very bottom level.

Fabulous
my husband and I spent 2 wonderful weeks at Casa de Ensuena and loved it. Lovely grounds and perfectly appointed casita ( # 3 ) Jose and Bella were the best! Jose couldn't do enough for us.

The location was Ideal as we were far enough away from the busy downtown to enjoy peace and quiet and the birds!

We are contemplating 3 weeks next year!

Great place to stay
My husband and I stayed in casita 5 and loved the view from the top balcony. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was nice To have a full sized fridge and stove as we did a lot of cooking in.

Our only dissapointment with the property was the pool. It would have been nice if the pool was heated as it is in the shade most of the time and was really too cold to enjoy.

Overall a great experience and we would consider this property again if we returned to sayulita.

Everything you need and want!
This is our third time to Sayulita and our first stay at Casa Ensueno. The other times we stayed in hotels in downtown Sayulita. I can not say enough about how much the stay at Casa Ensueno made the overall trip an absolute delight!
The booking was smooth; good communication, competent and efficient staff.
The arrival was just as it was detailed in our welcome letter. Jose was at the site and welcoming and friendly and professional!
The Cassita (we stayed in #2) was perfection! Clean, tastefully decorated and bright. There was a large patio that the room opened onto with a beautiful serene view of the trees and rooftops.
The landscape of Casa Ensueno was just sooo well maintained and lush and really added such a nice overall aesthetic to our experience.
It was sooo welcome to leave the downtown hustle and bustle behind each day to retreat to our beautiful space and relax on the patio.
The bed was VERY comfortable. Great night sleep. Really felt rejuvenated and ready to take on the day.
I highly, highly recommmend Casa Ensueno. Thanks to all of you (Jose, Bella, Kim and Kathy)who made the experience incredible!

Constant construction noise from across the road very much diminished our one week family visit
Although the Casa de Ensuena is very beautiful and the staff was most helpful and courteous, we were unable to fully enjoy the use of this facility because of the intense construction noise across the road way of a five story concrete building. We heard a gas powered concrete mixer fire up each morning, constant hammering of concrete blocks, electric sawing of rocks, and other load construction noise, as between 10 and 15 workers carried on the construction work 40 or 50 feet from our deck. I would wait until the construction of this building is complete before renting this facility. I would wait until the construction of this building is completed before renting this facility.

Response from Owner/Manager on 12-30-2017
We appreciate your feedback, as guest satisfaction is our top priority. Had we known you were unhappy, we would have taken immediate action to do whatever we could to help the situation. Jose, our property manager heard only good things from you all week, and that you reported you and your family were having a great time; there was never a complaint regarding anything until the day before you left. Sayulita is growing and changing, and we have no control over construction, as stated in our signed rental agreement. The construction of this building has stayed within regulated working hours, 9AMto 5-6PM, and is scheduled to be completed very soon.
