Each house has a large fully furnished kitchen, with large refrigerator, microwave, blender, stove & oven, all pots & pans, dishes, glasses, etc. Each house is fully furnished with all linens, including both bath & beach towels.

The shared pool is good not only for play, but its length (about 50 feet) makes it good for laps as well. Enjoy the lawn chairs around the pool, and the yard & garden which meet the beach.

The complex is designed primarily for vacationing families, yet is a great location for multiple families to reside close to each other, or for groups such as wedding parties. When a group takes the entire complex, they enjoy use of the large outdoor (under a roof) kitchen and dining common area near the pool, a great place to center a party.

Daily maid service (except Sundays) is included, and each house has its own washer & dryer for your use. Hidden in a closet is a hotel-style safe (you set your own code) in which you can place your laptops, cash and other small valuables, just so you need not worry while you are out at the beach or otherwise enjoying Sayulita.

perfect for wedding!
we rented out the entire complex for a wedding and it was perfect-- big, roomy houses that comfortably fit 2-3 per room, a private pool that was used every day but all, and perfect location- secluded enough, but a easy walk to town and just steps from the beach! booking was easy, checking in was a breeze, and all of our wedding guests felt comfortable, safe, and happy! i cannot say enough about this place...it made our special day that much more perfect!

Beautiful homes in a fantastic location!
We had a group trip and booked three of the homes at Las Hamacas. The location was perfect and the houses were beautiful. We used the pool every day and lounged on the beach using the beach chairs and umbrellas. It was an easy walk to any restaurants or shops we wanted to visit. The property managers were helpful and unobtrusive.

Ideal location
We had a wedding at the end of May at Las Hamacas. We had an incredible time. The facilities were unique and allowed for lots of group gatherings and we were able to have the wedding reception all in the one facility. We will never forget our wonderful time together.

Perfect wedding location!
We rented out the entire complex for our wedding, and every single person who stayed there LOVED it! They're just looking for a reason to come back! The houses are beautiful and obviously very well taken care of, and our housecleaner was awesome! We were up late most nights and most people came to hang out at our patio, so there was a bit of a mess each morning, which she swept away with a smile every day.

We had the wedding on the beach right in front of the complex, and all of the events on the grassy area right by the beach, and the locations were perfect! It was spacious enough to hold 90 people comfortably, and there was usually a nice breeze from the ocean to keep us relatively cool.

Mark was also great and really responsive to all of my inquiries throughout the rental process, sending me helpful information for our guests.

I couldn't recommend Las Hamacas more!

Great location right on beach
We rented Dulcinea & Serena. The location was right on the beach and a very beautiful view. Only problem is that we had children that wanted to go to the pool a lot which was not right next to house so we could not see from outside porch. We always had to make sure an adult was watching them. The pictures made it look like the pool was right next to the house we rented.

Heaven on Earth
It is hard to describe exactly how lovely and meaningful our experience was at Las Hamacas. We had our wedding, which consisted of about forty guests, there on the property and the majority of our guests stayed at the property for the five nights leading up to the wedding as well. So, we basically got to live with our best friends for about a week, making difficult decisions like whether to hang out by the pool or by the ocean. Las Hamacas is beautifully constructed, inside and out, and I kept walking by friends conversing about how they were going to make it back to Sayulita, and Las Hamacas, at their next opportunity. I cannot recommend this place enough for people who want to have a peaceful get-away with friends and family. Wish I was there right now.

PERFECT spot for our Wedding Group!
We rented the entire Las Hamacas complex for our families and bridal parties for our wedding week and it couldn't have worked out better. We took a leap of faith booking a spot for everyone to stay and EVERY single person was amazed by their accommodations.

The houses are spacious, beautifully decorated, open air, clean and well maintained. All the staff from the security, the managers, the maids and Mark are wonderful and accommodating. The property was lush and tropical and well taken care of. Our guests felt like they were in paradise. Having the common pool was perfect for both sides of the wedding to meet, hang and laugh leading up to the big day.

We hosted our 60 person welcome party in the front lawn and it was perfect. Great space for wedding planner to work with and a beautiful sunset topped the evening. Our ceremony was on the beach in front of the house so we were able to casually get ready in the complex and walk a couple steps to say, "I do."

No one in our wedding party got sick and everyone enjoy the town so much!

Lastly, Mark was responsive, helpful and informative. Planning a destination wedding is hard enough and he was there for us.

We will be back!

Love Las Hamacas Hate the Sewage in the Ocean
Sayulita has a serious sewage problem. Unfortunately Las Hamacas is in the path of the prevailing ocean current that brings sewage laced water right out front. I have stayed in Sayulita twice before with no issues, though this was 7 and 9 years ago. This trip, 11 of the 13 of us got sick. Several of us were barfing for a full day plus other rear end issues. This was not fun. I strongly suggest you look South of the river as we talked to a lot of people who were staying in town or South who had no issues. The dirty secret is that all the locals know about these ongoing issues but they will just tell you that there is a Virus going around. This is not viral, it is bacterial. IF you go I would suggest only going in to the ocean South of the river. To the North you can smell the sewage, especially during low tide. The Sand is NOT safe either. At high tide the waves cover the sand with sewage laced water. The sun's UV light will kill the surface bacteria quickly but the wet sand underneath, where your kids hands will be, is still alive with nasty bacteria. If they put their hands in their mouths they are at risk.

Response from Owner/Manager on 06-02-2017
The town sewer system had a major problem this past season, as a pipe burst, just south of the river, so about five blocks south of us. This was referred to by many as the Calle Gaviotas issue, and as a result, untreated sewage drained directly into the river, then into the bay. There were days that the prevailing current was to the north (toward us), other days it was to the south, and over the course of a couple months there were a number of days with water in the bay that I would not have entered. I discussed this with a number of renters who stayed within a couple of weeks before or after Steve, some of whom also said there were problems with the quality of ocean water. The city system did not have access to the funding needed for repairs, so the local civic group ProSayulita, along with many local citizens, business owners and homeowners, began fundraising for an infrastructure fund, with the following goals, cut and pasted from the initial fundraising email.

• Completion of the Calle Gaviotas project, which will stop black water from flowing down Calle Manuel Navarette and into the river.
• Completion of a formal engineering study of the amounts and limits of the aquifers serving Sayulita, and their capacity to meet population growth.
• Continuation of street and drainage cleaning throughout the town.
• Development of a system to collect recyclables in order to reduce trash.

Many people contributed time, work and money. Along with many others, I was a major monetary contributor to the fund, as all this is important to the future of Sayulita. All feedback I have received from our guests from mid-April on (and I receive a lot of feedback, mostly very positive) there has been no indication that the water has been anything other than wonderful. If any regular Sayulita visitors wish to contribute to this fund, which will be a continuing entity, any amount is appreciated, and the methods of contributing are on the http://www.prosayulita.org/donate/ webpage.

Nice comfortable villa outside of town and a great retreat.
Great location just north of the town center, outside the bustle of the town center. Complex is on the beach with great access, easy walk ability to everything. We liked the location more than being close to town center. We loved the Villa. Well kept and clean. The housekeeping service was fantastic. the location in the complex was fine, but would have preferred one of the beach front units. However, this did not detract from the overall experience.
