Charlie & Melanie are wonderful hosts!
This is the second time that I've stayed at the Macondo Bungalows and the experience has always been excellent. The property is well kept, the salt water pool is private, animals are welcomed, and they offer some of the best food in town at their resturant (Terra Viva).

My family and I highly recommend the Macondo Bungalows to anyone looking for a relaxing time in Sayulita close enough to all of fun but still 1-2 blocks away from the crowds/noise...

Safe travels

Great place period!
The first impression on arrival was how clean this property is. This turned out to be an indication of the overall way in which Macondo Bungalows prioritizes each guest. Our room was very well maintained over our 30 day stay. Regular cleaning with timely new sheets and towels was the norm. Beach chairs, beach towels and shade umbrellas for guests are a very nice touch that we took advantage of often.

The location on the flats but north of the bridge was ideal for us. A short walk to the beach, central square and all amenities was much appreciated but we were still far enough from the late night noise of the central square to allow us to wind down at night without being bothered by late night activities in town.

Hosts Melanie, Charlie and Gypsy were always cheerful and eager to help out with any questions we had or suggestions that we needed.

Overall for us it was a fantastic month and fantastic accommodations.

Great hosts, location and bungalows!
This vacation rental was great. Our bungalow had a huge outdoor kitchen with a sitting area. The living area is spacious. A/C in the bedroom was appreciated. The neighborhood is peaceful. Close to the beach. Chairs, umbrellas, surfboards, and boogie boards included. Quick walk to anything you need. The Wifi wasn't working well at the time which was the only negative thing. The hosts are nice and available on site.

10/10 Recommend - AMAZING!
Macondo Bungalows are out of this world amazing. I operate 6 vacation rentals in New Mexico, and when I travel, I always feel assured I’m doing everything I can to make experiences as positive as possible - until this place. I took notes! I will be implementing several things in my own rentals. Now for a little about the space - If you read the description and it sounds good, you should be fine :) it is entirely open-air (quite chilly at night, but I think it was unseasonably cold - and I’m complaining about 63-degree weather, so really just ignore that). Entirely open air also means you will see little sugar ants and the occasional mosquito. It can also get momentarily loud when neighbors party, so if you’re a very light sleeper bring ear plugs. I sleep like a tank, the bed was amazing and comfortable, and the bungalow itself was absolutely magical - made it really hard to even want to go to the beach (which, by the way, the hosts supply you with free umbrellas, chairs and towels to use!!). 10 out of 10, will definitely be back :)

So lucky I found this place!
I loved everything about this suite. I didn't even have to do my dishes. I tipped the housekeeper really well and she took great care of me. Being on the 2nd floor I got the evening breeze. I spent the whole time on the balcony people and sky watching. Great little restaurants close, even on the beach with is 2 blocks away, Fluff and fold around the corner and even a vet. Love the golf cart rental too. I'd definitely go back.

Great place!!
We stayed a month with Charlie and Melanie and enjoyed our stay a lot. It is located in a great area, just outside (by minutes, walking) of the center - so that your far enough away from the louder center area of Sayulita but close enough that you can quickly walk and be apart of it. Charlie and Melanie are usually around and very helpful. They have a very cute and quiet dog and cat as well that made us feel like we were at home.
