Description

Cachasol Culinary Workshop in Sayulita is a hands-on, one-hour cooking workshop set on a working farm distillery — where you make real Mexican food from scratch, eat what you cooked, and leave with techniques you can actually repeat at home.

Held Tuesday through Sunday at 2:30 PM, this experience is open to adults, non-drinkers, and families with kids 6 and older. Kids under 5 are free and welcome to enjoy the dedicated playground and activity sheets while the group cooks. This is not a polished demo where you watch from a distance — you get involved, ask questions, make a little mess, and cook over a real comal.

The class flows through four moments:

Arrival & Agua Fresca — Check in at the Comedor and settle in with a fresh agua fresca while the workshop gets introduced.

Guacamole en Molcajete — Make fresh guacamole from scratch, learning the techniques behind texture, balance, lime, chile, salt, and the order it all comes together.

Corn, Tortillas & Comal Cooking — Learn about corn's role in Mexican food culture, then step to the comal to cook tortillas and quesadillas yourself.

Meal & Drink — Sit down to everything you made: guacamole, 2 quesadillas, rice, beans, and fresh salsas. Adult guests (18+) enjoy a Cachasol cocktail; youth and non-drinking adults have a non-alcoholic beverage option.

Come hungry — the class includes a full meal.

Pricing: Adults (18+) $1,100 MXN | Youth ages 6–17 & non-drinking adults $900 MXN | Kids under 5 free.

Men's Journal named Cachasol one of 2026's Best Small-Batch and Best Everyday Tequilas, and this workshop shows exactly why great tequila and honest food belong together. Many guests end up staying after for dessert, another drink at the Cachashade Bar, or just more time at the farm. That's the part no one expects, and the reason Forbes called Cachasol "a destination, not just a label."

11/10! Delicious food, drinks + super interactive, fun tour! Highly recommend this experience in Sayulita.
Absolutely incredible experience in Sayulita! This farm distillery tour was so much more than what it sounds like. We learned so much about the traditional process of raicilla and tequila, do a super informative tasting, got to walk around the beautiful farm, and indulge in delicious cocktails. And that's not all- we were all sooo pleasantly surprised with the full dinner at the end of the tour. Delicious guacamole, soup, and insanely good, fresh prepared quesadillas and sopes made from scratch right in front of your eyes in the wood fire kitchen! While being a farm- the whole experience was still extremely elevated. I went with a retreat group of women, and I can imagine it would be perfect for bachelorette parties, wedding parties, date nights, and just overall anyone interested in a high-end experience in Sayulita.

Awesome Experience in Sayulita area
We had such an amazing experience at Cachasol Farm Distillery outside of Sayulita! We visited as a family, my husband, our 4-year-old son, and myself, and they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived.

Our son had the best time learning how to make his own jamaica drink, while we got to learn how to make delicious tequila cocktails. We also made fresh guacamole and tortillas, which was such a fun and authentic experience for all of us.

If I’m back in Sayulita, I would take this class again.
I usually take a cooking class when visiting a place for the first time. My niece and I were pleasantly surprised how great this mixology class was. We learned about the agave plants, different types of tequila and processes. We made guacamole and salsa - the best ever! The people working here were very friendly and fun. I’d highly recommend this side tour which is just outside Sayulita. If I’m back in Sayulita, I would take this class again. Thank you.

Highly recommend getting a bottle of their tequila at the end of the trip
If you're in Sayulita/Punta Mita area, this is a must-do! My friends and I recently did the Farm Distillery Tour, and then went back for the Cooking/Mixology class because we loved it all so much! Either experience is an amazing, informative, interactive and very quaint experience. It's not touristy at all- we loved that it just felt like visiting a really cool farm. We got to learn all about the process of making raicilla in the traditional way through such a fun and informative farm tour. And then the food here is SOO good. The farm tour ends in a full meal which is so delicious, an of course if you do the cooking class you'll come away with more knowledge of traditional mexican cooking, plus get to eat delicious farm to table food. The cocktails are superb, staff is welcoming and lovely, and the atmosphere is so tranquil!
Highly recommend getting a bottle of their tequila at the end of the trip
