Description

Cachasol Culinary & Mixology Class in Sayulita is a hands-on, one-hour cooking workshop set on a working farm distillery — where you make real Mexican food from scratch, eat what you cooked, and leave with techniques you can actually repeat at home.

Held Tuesday through Sunday at 2:30 PM, this experience is open to adults, non-drinkers, and families with kids 6 and older. Kids under 5 are free and welcome to enjoy the dedicated playground and activity sheets while the group cooks. This is not a polished demo where you watch from a distance — you get involved, ask questions, make a little mess, and cook over a real comal.

The class flows through four moments:

Arrival & Agua Fresca — Check in at the Comedor and settle in with a fresh agua fresca while the workshop gets introduced.

Guacamole en Molcajete — Make fresh guacamole from scratch, learning the techniques behind texture, balance, lime, chile, salt, and the order it all comes together.

Corn, Tortillas & Comal Cooking — Learn about corn's role in Mexican food culture, then step to the comal to cook tortillas and quesadillas yourself.

Meal & Drink — Sit down to everything you made: guacamole, 2 quesadillas, rice, beans, and fresh salsas. Adult guests (18+) enjoy a Cachasol cocktail; youth and non-drinking adults have a non-alcoholic beverage option.

Come hungry — the class includes a full meal.

Pricing: Adults (18+) $1,100 MXN | Youth ages 6–17 & non-drinking adults $900 MXN | Kids under 5 free.

Men's Journal named Cachasol one of 2026's Best Small-Batch and Best Everyday Tequilas, and this workshop shows exactly why great tequila and honest food belong together. Many guests end up staying after for dessert, another drink at the Cachashade Bar, or just more time at the farm. That's the part no one expects, and the reason Forbes called Cachasol "a destination, not just a label."

Family-friendly cocktail & cooking class — jamaica drinks, guacamole, tortillas & a nature playground for kids
We had such an amazing experience at Cachasol Farm Distillery outside of Sayulita! We visited as a family, my husband, our 4-year-old son, and myself, and they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived.

Our son had the best time learning how to make his own jamaica drink, while we got to learn how to make delicious tequila cocktails. We also made fresh guacamole and tortillas, which was such a fun and authentic experience for all of us.

The atmosphere was beautiful, relaxing, and incredibly family-friendly. They even have a really cool nature playground for kids, which made the experience even more special for our son.

You can truly feel the passion, warmth, and hospitality from everyone there. Highly recommend for couples, families, or anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience near Sayulita!

Immersive farm-to-table class — fresh herbs from the garden, homemade guacamole, tortillas & margaritas
This farm-to-table experience in Mexico was easily one of the highlights of the trip. From the moment we arrived, everything felt authentic, hands-on, and thoughtfully curated. One of my favorite touches was being able to pick fresh herbs straight from the garden to garnish the margaritas we made ourselves—such a simple detail, but it made the whole experience feel personal and elevated.
We also got to make our own guacamole and tortillas from scratch, and you could truly taste the difference. Everything was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and vibrant in a way that’s hard to replicate anywhere else. It wasn’t just a meal—it was an immersive experience that connected us to the ingredients and the culture behind the food.
What really brought it all together, though, was the staff. They were warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do, making sure everyone felt comfortable and engaged throughout. If you’re looking for something memorable, interactive, and delicious, this is absolutely worth it.

We had a wonderful time at the Cachasol Farm Distillery. We learned how to make yummy margaritas, guacamole and homemade tortillas. The setting is beautiful and quiet which is a nice break from the busy towns of Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita, Punta Mita or wherever you are coming from. The staff was amazing and accommodating and the spirits are to notch! Highly recommend.

Masterful margarita & guacamole class with Jose — tortilla pressing & unforgettable ice cream
My daughter and I visited Cachasol to take a Mixology and Cooking class in January and it was such an amazing experience! Jose our host thoughtfully and masterfully led us through the proper way to make a margarita and guacamole. Both were absolutely delicious and Jose's explanations of flavor integration and method of preparation would be a revelation to even the most experienced cook or bartender. Topping off the experience with pressing and cooking our own tortillas was the icing on the cake! Can't forget the ice cream! Oh boy!
The setting is magical, getting there from Sayulita is so easy. It's an amazing experience, and I absolutely WILL go back!
