Description

This is it!  The best one or two bedroom Sayulita has to offer!
The reviews below speak for themselves.

Casa Cielo Grande in Sayulita is perched above it all. Sit on the terrace and watch the tropical birds fly by every morning, Check the surf while enjoying your morning coffee. We sit between Nanzal and Gringo Hill - a short 3 minute golf cart to beach or town square. About a 10-12 minute walk if you need to burn off a few margaritas.

Casa Cielo Grande is the main house and is over  2000 sq ft. This villa is a beautiful representation of the tropical Sayulita lifestyle and you will quickly feel at home. Casa Cielo Grande has a full gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances and plenty of room to cook for 2-5 or to entertain friends. There is a large, spacious great room with comfortable and attractive furnishings, which opens to the outside with sliding doors.

The attention to detail in this home is spectacular. There are built-in planters beneath the windows with tropical plants that bring the outside in. The stone inlays in the floors are a beautiful and surprising touch. Niches in the walls for interesting art pieces surround you with elegance and beauty.

The king size master suite is amazing and will really provide all the comforts of home. The terrace provides spectacular views and is the perfect spot to relax in privacy. The spacious master bath has gorgeous sinks, tiles, and a large, light-filled shower. The second bedroom overloooks the swimming pool and is perfect for your guests or kids. There is also a swimming pool with water cascade and pizza oven with gas BBQ.

Surrounded by lush tropical plantings, you will never want to leave this paradise in Sayulta!

We provide a caretaker and can arrange for catering or cooking/grocery shopping at your request. We can also help with wedding planning or function planning.

Beautiful home, steep hill a challenge, big walk to town center
The main house was beautiful and very clean with a nice view. Very well furnished, spacious and the cool pool was a welcome way to end the day. It is very peaceful and very quite area.
So morning coffee and drinks on the terrace at night was very pleasant. However every room was on a different floor so you were constantly going up and down stairs. The hill is so steep that twice cabs could not make it to the top. Don't know if a golf cart could even make it up the hill??? Cabs are cheap but if they can't make it up the hills (as there are 3 hills up the twisty driveway to get to top) - you are still faced walking up the hill. Once you get to bottom of hill, there is another 15min+ walk into town as you are on the outskirts. Both my husband and I are very athletic and active and have a 9 year old and that hill to get to house was unbelieveable. Ladies don't bring heels of any kind!! You won't make it up or down the hill. Also bring your own kitchen staples. There wasn't even salt, pepper or oil in the house for cooking.

Pure paradise ...
I have never quite experienced vacation accommodations like this before. My love and I stayed in the charming Casa Margarita Del Cielo (the main house) and it was massive – so massive I actually repeatedly ended up taking the stairs the wrong way – which was OK by me because that usually meant I ended up on the glorious rooftop deck, with views that seemed to encompass the whole country. That rooftop – there is no better way to take in the tranquil sights and sounds of Nayarit, Mexico, from the ocean to the jungle, and to watch the sunset, glass of wine in hand, perched on what’s got to be the highest point in town. And what a place to be during a rainstorm.

The area is quiet, the house is spacious and clean with air conditioning. Tastefully decorated with the region’s cute little skeleton people and gorgeous art. A beautiful hot shower (as well as outdoor shower!) with surprising pressure. WiFi! Management available with a smile if there was a question. Nice cleaners who come with fresh towels. Butterflies fluttering about. The pool … so gorgeous and warm and picture-perfect, with breathtaking landscaping and pink Roses of Sharon dropping occasionally into the water for a sweet and pretty accent. The home is very close to town, a walk down on an incline, and as a gym-goer I just loved the feeling of zapping the taco calories with that steep climb back up.

Tips: If you are renting a car – get an SUV or 4x4, as it’s rather tough to get up the hill in the rain. Some taxis also might not be able to make it up in the rain so if walking is tough for you or hard on the knees, watch the dark skies for warning of when you should get home. Same if you are adding the golf cart to your package, it might be a challenge in the rain. I personally loved walking in the rain – a highlight!

If it’s raining – order a pizza! We loved the wood-fired pizza from La Rustica.

If you’re planning to cook, there’s a full kitchen but you may need to buy some accessories: salt and pepper, sugar, coffee/tea, condiments etc.

Would stay again and again.

Wow! I had a wonderful time in that casa. It's zen with a lot of space and everything is there and at the right place. I had a crush on all skeletons acting in the decor!

Great view and close to town, quiet and perfect for relaxing!
It was like having a little paradise close to town but also in a quiet enviroment. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the service! Everything was perfect! I wouldnt suggest it for people with knee injuries or who gets tired easily because walking up the hill is a good cardio, but if you dont mind the effort (or you plan to rent a golf cart) then the view will make it totally worth it :) i loved the place and will book it again on future trips to sayulita!

Possibly the most stunning vacation spot I've ever experienced!
Casa Margarita was so beautiful, so well appointed, so quiet & charming... We couldn't believe it.So nice to be up and away from the 'scene' in Sayulita proper - but still a short walk away.

Top of the world
Two of us plus our dog stayed at Casa Margarita for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The house is on top of a hill overlooking the town and offers 360 degree view of the town, ocean, and hills. The house is very spacious with a master bed room and bathroom on the first floor, kitchen and living room on the second floor, each also offering large outdoor sitting areas, and finally a large roof terrace on the third floor. There is a second bedroom/bathroom, which we did not use, on the pool level.

We thought the house actually looks better than the pictures we saw in the listing, in part thanks to the upgraded furniture, which creates a more contemporary look and feel. Everything was very clean and comfortable, both main floors also have air-conditioning as well.

We considered the hill location as an opportunity for exercise when going to town for shopping, beach, and dining. There are two ways to town, both a 10-15 minute walk, one up from the main road (currently under construction) and the back one up from the North side of town, slightly longer but less steep. We spent most days enjoying the house, with a couple of trips/day to town for shopping/dining.
