Travel with Joffe: Personalized Trips & Authentic Sayulita Experiences ✈️🌴
Planning your next trip to Sayulita and need a little guidance? Whether it’s finding the perfect villa, arranging transportation, or uncovering hidden gems, Travel with Joffe has you covered. Founded by Matthew Joffe, this service is all about creating authentic, local experiences that connect travelers with the true heart of Sayulita.
1. Let’s Start with You…
Can you tell us a little about yourself and what brought you to Sayulita?
I’m Matthew Joffe, a travel planner who instantly fell in love with Sayulita the second I set foot here. Originally from Michigan and now living in Northern California, I found myself drawn to Sayulita’s vibrant community, authentic spirit, and the magic you feel just walking down the cobblestone streets. It’s the kind of place you don’t just visit—you feel it, and it stays with you. One day, I hope to retire here.
What inspired you to start this business here?
Sayulita isn’t a place of big chains and resorts — it’s about real people, real culture, and real experiences. I wanted to create a service that helps visitors experience the true Sayulita, while also supporting local businesses and artisans.
What’s something most people don’t know about your story or journey?
I’m a person who stutters, and while it’s brought its share of challenges, it’s also shaped me in powerful ways. It’s taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of creating welcoming spaces for everyone — especially in travel. I believe your voice and your dreams matter, and I’ve built my business on the idea that travel should be accessible, personal, and full of possibility.
2. About the Business
What makes your business unique in Sayulita?
I’m not just booking travel — I’m crafting authentic experiences. I have direct relationships with local hotels, villas, tours, and artisans, which means my clients get access to real, local Sayulita — not the touristy version.
How would you describe the vibe or spirit of your service?
It’s laid-back, fun, and personal — just like Sayulita. I want travelers to feel like they have a friend guiding them through, not just a transaction.
Is there an experience that’s especially close to your heart and why?
Helping families and couples find their perfect little beach hideaway or arranging an off-the-beaten-path tour is incredibly meaningful. It’s not just a vacation — it’s creating memories that last a lifetime.
3. Community Connection
What does being part of the Sayulita community mean to you?
It’s about being part of something bigger than yourself. Sayulita’s heart is its people, and I want my work to be a bridge between visitors and this amazing community.
Do you collaborate with any local artisans, organizations, or causes?
Yes! Whenever possible, I work with local hotels, tours, and businesses. I believe that keeping money in the local economy helps preserve what makes Sayulita so special.
How do you see your business supporting or giving back to Sayulita?
Sayulita has given me so much, and it’s important to me that my work gives back in a real way. Beyond connecting travelers with local businesses and encouraging responsible tourism, I’m donating 20% of my service fee — plus any additional revenue from trips I plan to Sayulita — directly to organizations listed on Sayulita Life’s Community Support page. I want every trip I plan to leave a little extra good behind, helping the people, animals, and environment that make Sayulita so special.
4. Personal + Fun
What’s your favorite way to spend a morning in Sayulita?
Coffee in the plaza, a sunrise stroll on the beach, and maybe a little shopping at the local markets — just soaking in the colorful energy.
What’s one song, scent, or memory that captures Sayulita for you?
The scent of ocean air mixed with street tacos — and the sound of live music drifting through the night. That’s Sayulita magic.
Community shoutout:
Huge shoutout to Mi Chula Tours for unforgettable adventures, and El Itacate — because no visit to Sayulita is complete without their tacos!
5. Looking Forward
What’s next for you and your business?
I’m expanding my services to include even more curated local experiences — think private beach picnics, artisan workshops, and hidden gem tours you won’t find in guidebooks.
Any upcoming events, new products, or exciting plans to share?
To celebrate joining SayulitaLife.com, I’m offering 50% off my services to the first five travelers who book with me. Plus, I’m working on new local partnerships to bring even more exclusive, one-of-a-kind Sayulita experiences to my clients.
