Cachasol Tequila Tasting and Distillery Tour in Sayulita is a six-acre coastal farm and distillery where award-winning small-batch tequila, open-fire farm-to-table cooking, and an immersive field-to-glass experience come together — and where, as Forbes put it, Cachasol is "a destination, not just a label."

Launched in early 2025, Cachasol tequila earned recognition fast. Men's Journal named it one of 2026's Best Small-Batch and Best Everyday Tequilas, and the spirits have collected multiple Gold and Double Gold awards from respected international competitions. What sets it apart starts in the field: 100% Nayarit-grown agave and an IPA-inspired fermentation process that brings out bright citrus, floral notes, and real agave character you can taste in every pour.

Set among agave fields, organic gardens, and rustic-luxury architecture just outside Sayulita, Cachasol offers three distinct tasting experiences, Tuesday through Sunday:

Tequila Tasting & Raicilla Distillery Tour — 5:00 PM | $1,800 MXN per adult / $1,000 MXN youth
The full 90-minute Cachasol experience. Walk the agave fields, tour the working raicilla distillery, taste cooked agave, estate-made raicilla, Cachasol Blanco, and Epic Strength alongside chef-prepared pairings, then sit down to a full farm-to-table dinner from the open-fire kitchen with two Cachasol cocktails. This is the deepest, most complete way to understand what Cachasol is and how it's made.

Cachasol Tequila Tasting Experience — 1:00 PM & 4:00 PM | $800 MXN per adult
A one-hour guided seated tasting of Cachasol's award-winning small-batch tequilas, paired with fresh bites from the kitchen designed to open up the flavors. Stay after to linger over farm-to-table food, an extra cocktail, and more time at the farm — the part guests rarely expect and always remember.

Reposado Tequila Tasting Experience — 6:30 PM | $800 MXN per adult
An evening hour dedicated to Cachasol's Rare Beauty Reposado collection: four single-barrel expressions, each aged 10 months in a different barrel — whiskey, rum, merlot, and cabernet. Gold and Double Gold award winners from the 2026 Latin American Spirits Competition. Come early for dinner or stay for a drink afterward.

Families are welcome — kids have a dedicated playground and activity sheets while the adults settle into their tasting. After your experience, extend the evening with garden dining at Cachasol Farm-to-Table or a hands-on Cachasol Culinary W orkshop.

A rare experience of intentional indulgence. 5 stars!!!

We spent an evening at Cachasol Farm Distillery with our closest family and friends, and it was exactly what we needed. Not just a tasting, but an education and a gathering. James, the owner, is genuinely passionate about what he's created here. He walked us through the agave, the process, the story behind the tequila, mezcal, and racilla with the kind of knowledge that made each sip more meaningful.

As someone who founded Alchemize House, a social wellness club here in Sayulita, I'm particularly drawn to experiences and producers that prioritize intentionality. James' commitment to creating without artificial additives resonated deeply with how I approach wellness. But what really stood out was the design of the experience itself: educational, grounded in connection, and centered on presence rather than excess. Dinner was included, and sharing a meal with the people we love most while learning something real felt like exactly what wellness culture should celebrate.

James created space for us to appreciate rather than just consume, to let loose without losing ourselves. That's thoughtful hospitality at its finest.

If you're in Sayulita and looking for something that goes beyond the typical tourist distillery tour, something that actually nourishes, this is it! Highly recommend!!

A place that lives up to its awards

We booked the Tequila Tasting & Raicilla Distillery Tour at Cachasol Farm Distillery with a group of 12 close friends, kids included, and it was one of the best experiences we've had near Sayulita. James gave us a personal tour of the six-acre farm and walked us through the entire process of making both raicilla and small-batch tequila, from the agave fields to the working distillery. His knowledge and passion for the craft made the whole thing come alive.

The farm-to-table meal was outstanding, most of what we ate was grown right there on the property, and every dish felt fresh and thoughtful. While the adults tasted award-winning tequilas and raicilla, the kids had just as much fun running around the property, playing at the playground, and catching frogs. It's rare to find a tour that works this well for a big mixed group of adults and kids.

The property itself is stunning, rustic-luxury architecture surrounded by agave and organic gardens with the coast nearby. Add in genuinely warm, attentive service, and you have a place that lives up to its awards (Forbes feature, Men's Journal Triple Award Winner) and its reputation as a must-do near Sayulita and Punta Mita.

We'll be back, and we're already telling everyone we know to book the Cachasol tequila tasting and distillery tour. Thank you, James, and the whole Cachasol team, for such a special day.

Awesome Experience for Everyone

If you are staying in the Flamingos area near Bucerias be aware that the recommended taxi service cannot pass through the security gates at the entrance to the Flamingos area. You will need to meet them there. The Cachasol tasting and tour was fantastic. Beginning with the welcoming Margaritas which were fantastic. Juan Carlos did a fantastic job explaining the Raicilla and Tequila production process and agricultural practices. During the dinner he also did a great job explaining the proper way to taste and distinguish the flavors of the tequila. The food was fantastic and all of the staff were welcoming and friendly. Overall it was a great experience and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Would give it Cachasol 6 stars if I could!

A must visit! Friendly staff, super interesting tour, and amazing tequila and cocktails!! Went with a group and we all bought Cachasol tequila to go and they arranged to direct ship it to all our houses, we did not even have to worry about packing it. Also, the new Reposado tequilas are world class. Would give it Cachasol 6 stars if I could!

This was the best alcohol tasting experience I’ve been to, and I’m not even a big fan of tequila. Carlos was our host and gave a phenomenal explanation of the different kinds of agave based liquor and how they’re made from the plant to the bottle. The raicilla and tequila we had were also delicious and the food and service was also top notch. This tour and tasting was a major highlight of my trip
