Casa Rumi in Sayulita is the signature penthouse of Villa Poema de Amor, an open-concept king suite crowned by three handcrafted red brick domes overlooking Sayulita Bay. Set on the villa’s highest level, it’s one of Sayulita’s most distinctive architectural stays and a memorable choice for couples looking for something truly special on the Riviera Nayarit coast.

The domes are what make Casa Rumi unforgettable. Each one defines its own space, sheltering the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette beneath curved brick ceilings built by hand. The result is a home where artisan craftsmanship, sweeping views, and relaxed indoor-outdoor living come together naturally, with handcrafted Mexican details celebrating local artistry at every turn.

Mornings here begin with panoramic views across Sayulita Bay, visible from both the penthouse and its private rooftop terrace. Step outside with your coffee, settle into the outdoor seating, and watch the bay come to life, or return in the evening to unwind as the breeze picks up and the town lights begin to glow below.

Inside, a comfortable king bed sets the tone for restful nights, complemented by a full bathroom, an indoor dining area, air conditioning, and high-speed WiFi. The kitchenette is designed for breakfast, snacks, and light meals, with the essentials for comfortable everyday use rather than full gourmet cooking, which leaves plenty of reason to explore Sayulita’s restaurants.

Your reservation includes exclusive use of Casa Rumi, including the bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, private terrace, and outdoor seating areas. You’ll also enjoy shared access to the villa’s saltwater pool, tropical gardens, and common outdoor spaces, shared only with guests of the villa.

A few things to know before you book: as the uppermost residence at Villa Poema de Amor, Casa Rumi requires climbing multiple flights of stairs and may not be suitable for guests with mobility limitations. A neighboring building is visible from portions of the suite and forms part of the surrounding hillside landscape, and curtains are available for added privacy in the evenings.

Each condo has one designated parking space intended for a golf cart. Parking for regular vehicles is limited and cannot be guaranteed, so please reach out in advance if you plan to bring a car. The owners strongly recommend renting a golf cart during your stay.

Bringing friends along? While Casa Rumi is made for two, Villa Poema de Amor has a stay for every kind of trip. Couples can also choose the palapa terrace of Casa Lorca or the private garden setting of Casa Hafiz. Groups of four will feel right at home in Casa Neruda, Casa Hafiz + Lorca, or Casa Zen, and when the whole crew is coming, the entire Villa Poema de Amor sleeps up to 14.

Highly recommended!

We loved the suite. It was spacious and private. The views were amazing. We loved the shaded deck during the day and the smaller deck in the morning and evening to enjoy the view of the beach. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool area and the pool, which also had an amazing view. The host was always responsive when we had questions or needed anything. We were glad we rented a golf cart, it made going into Sayulita easy and convenient. We highly recommend this suite to any couple traveling to Sayulita.

Villa Poema de Amor is breathtaking, peaceful, and serene. We loved every minute of our stay with our main goal to unwind and relax met at every level. Far enough from the busyness of Sayulita, close enough to walk to town for anything, we couldn’t have picked a better stay! The property managers were super attentive and helpful and made sure to go above and beyond to make our trip awesome. Stay here! You won’t regret it!!

Amazing home & hosts

Breathtaking rental! The property managers themselves absolutely made our stay. Super accommodating and responsive! They were very helpful from the time we booked to days before our arrival checking in to make sure we had everything we needed from directions to transportation. They checked in with us throughout our entire stay which made our trip that much better!!!! The house has 4 separate units. It is located up a long dirt road so you should plan to rent a golf cart rental. The property managers got us one delivered to the house within twenty minutes of our arrival even though we didn’t previously reserve one. Side note for Sayulitas in general; bring pesos prior to arrival as everyone is “cash only” and you'll get the best exchange rate at your bank

Amazing!
