Casa Ovalada in Sayulita is located on Gringo Hill and just a short walk down the hill to the fabulous village and beach. This house is perfect for visitors looking to enjoy the quaint town of Sayulita, without staying in the center of the hustle/ bustle of town. Just a 5-minute walk, down the hill to enjoy all that Sayulita has to offer. Although once you get used to the amazing privacy and breezes at Casa Ovalada, you may never want to leave

A meticulously designed home built on the hill maintaining the integrity of the jungle and natural surroundings, this multi level home features 6 different decks/levels with multiple units throughout the house and a private lap pool with expansive views and patios create a true paradise for our guest to relax and enjoy!

You’ll love the home because of the coziness and the privacy.  Casa Ovalada is perefect for families with older children, and big groups.  It’s also perfect for couples’ getaway if you desire one of the units separately.  Please note, the house is built on a hill and has 87 steps from the top to the bottom.  We don't recommend for small toddlers, the elderly or anyone with physical limitations.

The space

Casa Ovalada, is known know for its comfortable charm, fabulous location, and amazing views. Sitting atop the hill above the quaint town of Sayulita, this space provides both comfort convenience and privacy.

Cupula – Sleeps 2

As you enter the home, the first set of stairs take you to the "Cupula" a charming palapa roof and brick oval shaped bedroom with en suite bathroom, features an open air shower which envelopes you to experience a wonderful vacation fantasy! This tropical setting welcomes you to peaceful siestas with sea breezes, palm tree surroundings and ocean view. The "Cupula" unit can be rented as part of the Casa Ovalada, depending on the number of required bedrooms. A private deck offers stunning views of Sayulita. 

Casita – Sleeps 2-3

On another level you will find the "Casita.” In addition to the main casa there is a separate charming Mexican style casita with a private entrance and fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and sleeps 3. The pool are common areas for both the Casa & Casita. This unit has air conditioning. 

Casa – Sleeps 6

Another set of stairs takes you to the main floor of the home consisting of an airy living room, fully equipped kitchen and dining room located in the outdoor deck with stunning views.  The 2 en suite bedrooms each have a queen size bed and feature air conditioning.    The kitchen and living areas are cooled by the fabulous ocean breezes. One more level down and you come across "Casa Alberca" a separate and private en suite bedroom with a queen size bed and air conditioning.   This unit is located right outside the pool and is included with the rental of the Casa. 

A recent addition to the house is a wonderful gathering area above the pool area lovingly named "Johnny's Lounge" name after the proprietor.  Johnny’s Lounge is designed with a beautiful seating area and a bar where you can entertain guests all day.   The colorful palette of the lounge are inviting and comfortable and make for wonderful siestas too.  The natural vegetation around Johnny's Lounge is stunning and iguanas often perch themselves in trees nearby. 

Casa Ovalada is perfect for large groups who want to be together in the common areas but also want to maintain some privacy.  The pool is located at the very bottom of the property. 

At Casa Ovalada the possibilities for family, fun, adventure, romance, and relaxation are endless!  The house is designed to be without TV's, however, internet is available. 

Guest access

All guests have access to the pool and outdoor shower.  Housekeeping services are provided once a week.  Bottle water is provided. 

We have provided a Welcome Book with suggestions for activities, restaurants, private chefs, golf cart rentals and much more.
