Extraordinary measures will be put into place beginning April 20th to limit the circulation of automotive vehicles, with the purpose of mitigating the mass propagation of COVID-19 in the state of Nayarit. Permitted vehicle movement is based on the last number on the vehicle's license plate.
On April 16th, Health Minister announced the government will shut down all businesses that have not complied with the order to close due to the COVID-19 emergency. Cases have increased by 84% and deaths surged 158% in the last week.
On April 16th the Federal Government announced COVID-19 quarantine is to be extended through May 30th with normal activities to presume June 1st. According to the Secretary of Health, municipalities with no registered cases of COVID-19 can return to normal activities on May 17th.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Mexico increased by 260 on Thursday to 3,441 while deaths from the disease rose by 20 to 194, the Health Ministry reported.
