Our house combines the ease of close proximity to the beach and village with the privacy of a vacation retreat.  Located a few houses above the town square, the heart of Sayulita, it offers spectacular views of the ocean and village from every level.  The beach is an easy 2 1/2 block stroll, and cafes and stores are a stone's throw away.

Casa Suerte's unique architectural style complements the Mexican village experience. Designed and constructed by the acclaimed architect Jose Enrique del Valle, Casa Suerte combines light, art, views, and functionality.  Hand-crafted copper faucets, lighted alcoves, sculpted counters, tiled floors and intricate rock work are some of the house's many delightful features.   In addition, surrounded by Mexican families, you will enjoy the wonderful, friendly flavor of the village.

Each level of the house has spectacular ocean views.  A spiral staircase connects the separate levels, and also allows for privacy on each level. Rental of the property includes options:  either one of the two studio levels (ideal for couples) or whole house.  Each level has it's own secure gate.

The first ocean view studio level (one level above street level) has a queen bed, comfortable chairs, closet, and full kitchen in an open floor plan.  On one side, french doors lead to a small garden and bathroom.  On the other side, facing the ocean, expansive french doors open out onto a spacious outdoor patio with a large outdoor dining table overlooking the village and ocean. The stocked kitchen has all the basics including utensils, pots and pans, a gas cooking stove and oven, microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator, and filtered water. The room has both A/C and ceiling fans.

The next level up, also a great ocean view studio, includes a king bed, kitchenette, bathroom, and closet.  The room's view terrace overlooks the ocean and village, and one can see the ocean from the bed.  The other side of the room opens onto a peaceful, lush garden patio with a water feature and patio set. We have a tv and dvd player, ceiling fans, and A/C in this room.

The top level is our rooftop patio with 360 degree views, chaise lounges, outdoor couch, and laundry facilities.   The views are simply stunning.  The rooftop patio is available to all guests.

Rental of the whole house is ideal for families and friends who need extra sleeping options.  Rental of a studio level is ideal for a couple.

Though the cobble stoned gated garage on the ground level provides for secure parking, a car is not necessary in that the house is a 2 to 3-minute walk from all that Sayulita has to offer.  The beach is literally out the front door and a short two block stroll down the cobblestone street.  Wireless Internet is available at the house.

About us:  We live in Ashland, Oregon and discovered Sayulita in 2004.  John is a professor at Southern Oregon University, Adrienne owns rentals and an outdoor cafe reminiscent of cafes in lovely Sayulita, and Nathan is a professional painter, cook, and jack of all trades.  We fell in love with Casa Suerte our first visit there and bought the house with the intention of sharing our wonderful place with others at an affordable rate.  We love the house, the views, and that it is in the heart of the village and surrounded by Sayulita families.  Enjoy!

Exactly as Advertised
This was my first trip to Sayulita and I was going on my own, so I tried to do as much research as possible about the area. I chose Casa Suerte because it looked like it was close enough to walk everywhere I needed, and it didn't disappoint. This home is literally only steps from the main square. And at the main square you have a very large amount of great food/bar options and you are only a 5 minute walk to the beach.

And the rental itself was exactly was I needed. It was very clean and ready for me when I got there. The bed was comfortable, kitchen had plenty of space, my personal deck and the rooftop deck were beautiful, and I absolutely loved the outdoor bathroom.

The owner was great to work with. I would definitely recommend this rental to anybody looking for

Wonderful Stay
Casa Suerte did not disappoint. We had a great 2 week stay in the 1st floor suite, complete with a full kitchen, and plenty of space and comfort. Adrienne and John were superb hosts and they took every step to make sure my husband and I had everything we needed to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The casa is in close proximity to the town square and the many wonderful restaurants it had to offer; including our favorites, Tierra Viva and Los Corazones. We would not hesitate to stay here again in the future. Great casa in a friendly and vibrant town.

Best Vacation!
I have to say the best vacations of my life have been in Sayulita at Casa Suerte—and we’re planning our third trip back later this spring. We love this house – the spectacular ocean views, great location, ease of getting to the beach and getting home at night, not needing a car, feeling secure, and the sophisticated yet rustic feel of the architecture. We enjoy being surrounded, too, by friendly local Mexican families rather than vacation rentals. It makes us feel like a part of the town, not just tourists.
What we like in particular about the house are all its different levels, each of which has a great ocean view, fresh breezes and interesting detail. The kitchen has everything you need and more, and is nicely appointed. Even the bathrooms are unique with beautiful pebble, stone and tile detail in garden-like settings. Lots of windows allow for cool breezes and fresh air. The beds are comfy and have good quality bedding. There are thick curtains, a/c or fans and even white noise machines for those who are light sleepers or who need to initially adjust to the roosters and different village sounds. I am a fairly light sleeper and slept well.

Each morning we’d make an omelet and coffee, pack a cooler and head to the beach. If you need a break from the beach, the rooftop is amazing and a great place to hang out all day and evening reading and sipping coffee or margaritas. Incredible ocean views, a comfortable couch and chaise lounges make it difficult to leave.
The cleaning person came three times/week and the manager came nearly daily in case we needed anything. In addition, the owners provided detailed information about the house and checked in with us several times before and during our visit. The house is well maintained and everything worked (including the WiFi) so we needed no assistance, but it was nice knowing we had this support.

We’re familiar with rentals in Sayulita, and Casa Suerte is an amazing house in a fabulous location and is great value. It’s a home away from home to us and we wish we could live there year round!

Not for everyone
Great view but studio apartment was poorly outfitted. Kitchen barely enough items to make coffee or toast,no coffee pot, microwave precariously mounted, Yikes.Cleaning lady came in on Friday to prepare for next renter but we didn't leave till Saturday. The new folks had a slept in bed and used bath room to come to.A few updates would make a big difference.

Response from Owner/Manageron 02-18-2015
Our cleaning person comes Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and on days when guests check out. Maria's cleaning of the unit on Friday was her usual day to clean, not a mistake, and she cleaned again on Saturday for the new guests. The next guests who arrived Saturday had a clean unit and left the following five star review on Air BnB: "We really enjoyed our stay. The home was comfortable, spacious, and clean. The rooftop terrace offered many places to lounge and soak in the stunning views of the beach and Sayulita. It took 2 minutes to walk to Sayulita's main square and a few more to the beach. Next time I'm in town, I'll definitely stay here again." (Suzanne, January 2015)

If we had learned about the kitchenette's lack of certain items during this guest's stay, we would have corrected it. We later discovered that items had been moved to the other kitchen when a family had rented the whole house and, thus, just needed to be returned. The kitchenette has the following: pots, pans, dishes and cutlery, utensils, full fridge, coffee pot, toaster, hot plate, microwave (on a stand), and blender.

We want people to enjoy their stay at our house, and will always what do what we can to make the stay as pleasant as possible. We appreciate communication with our guests during their stay to make Casa Suerte a place they enjoy and would like to return to. If we don't know the problem, we can't correct it!

Great owner to deal with
Adrienne was great to deal with. She provided lots of information and tips about Sayulita prior to arrival and was very easy to reach before and during my stay.
The place was great! I rented the top unit for 3 days and ended up staying another night because I loved it so much. The location is perfect. Its just a few steps up the hill from the plaza. It can get noisy near the plaza at night but I just shut the windows and turned on the A/C in the unit and I couldn't hear a thing at night. The unit is well furnished and much more comfortable than the other places I stayed. The balcony and rooftop patio have great views.

What an enjoyable stay
Casa Suerte in Sayulita is a GREAT PLACE to stay, it is a beautiful house in a beautiful location. I would like to stay at Casa Suerte full time. It is centrally located near the Sayulita town plaza and is just a short walk to the main beach. There are many good restaurants and bars in a wide variety of price ranges within a couple of blocks. It is quiet, extremely clean, well appointed, and has comfortable living spaces. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The view from the balconies and rooftop are fantastic and they are a great place to hang out. I would not hesitate to recommend Casa Suerte to anyone, I love it there!

top notch
Amazing views, great location, and comfortable living meant for an awesome Sayulita vacation!
We rented both one bedroom studios for a week in Sayulita and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!! There are separate entrances to both studios so you have privacy in your home. The location was ideal for walking to the plaza and to the beaches. The service from the owners was top notch and they were quick to respond if we needed anything. The cleanliness of the house was great. The patios offered spectacular views of the nightly lightning storms that passed through. I highly recommend staying here while you're enjoying Sayulita, it takes the stress out of the trip!! I will be staying here on my next visit to Sayulita.

a short stay..wish it could be longer!
Adrienne was most accomodating of our short stay at her beautiful place in Sayulita. The location could not have been better, and the place is simply perfect. We loved the size of the rooms, the bed was comfortable, and it was tastefully decorated. The garden, open air shower, and generous balconies and roof top patio are the best parts. We will most certainly return any time we are back in Sayulita!

great find in sayulita
Over the past ten years my wife and I have been coming to Sayulita for winter vacations. We typically rent a place on the beach but this year we decided to try something different and stay in town at Casa Suerte. I did have my doubts because of the noise that often accompanies the festivities but I was intrigued by the idea of being a stone's throw away from the Plaza. Casa Suerte, it turned out, is a little jewel nestled right into the fabric of town (you wouldn't know it). Carved into the hillside on a north-facing aspect, it is cool on hot days and weirdly quiet at night. I mean, there were the typical late night sounds of town but close the doors, turn on the fan, and drop into the king-sized bed and you would never know. Casa Suerte has four levels of which our rental was the second. It has a very large kitchen, beautifully designed bathroom, and a large terrace that looks out over the town and to the ocean beyond. At night we would climb up the spiral stairs to the rooftop terrace with a bottle of tequila and watch night settle over the Mexican coastline. One night we watched fireworks explode above San Francisco (San Pancho) to the north of town. Pretty fantastically romantic. When we were staying there, Adrienne and John were in the unit above. They are great people and made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay worry-free.

Great View!
One of my favorite Sayulita photos is the view from Casa Suerte's deck overlooking the plaza, palm trees and ocean. Close to everything in town. Very accommodating owners. Know that it is on a steep hill and there are stairs to climb to the bedrooms. I'd come here again!
