Description
Chicharra Penthouse in Sayulita offers relaxation with style, you can soak up in a marble tub staring at the gorgeous green valley. You can work, play, chill, and enjoy Sayulita's life while staying in our treehouse penthouse which is perched on top of Casa Chicharra.
Chicharra Penthouse is located a 5-minute walk away from the town center and a 7-minute walk to the beach. The construction of our penthouse will be finished by November 1st and we are looking forward to hosting you! Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Incredible hosts and beautiful house
Wow! what a fantastic stay! Ashley and Ben are really the nicest hosts, very professional and always available if you have any questions. Casa Chicharra in Saullita is a Gorgeous house, well designed, beautiful patio with a garden and great pool. We spent so much time just hanging outside in the pool patio area.
The place is super nicley located less than 10 min walk from downtown and a cute little cafe is right around the corner. Everything was very clean and nice touches were left around the house to make the stay exceptional (free bottled water, beach chairs etc…) As soon as we booked with Ashley and Ben, we had fantastic communication with them They booked a private car that picked us up at the airport and provided us with some incredible recommendations. They also both live very close to the house so anything you need, they can help you right away. This place is fantastic and the hosts made our trip very special. Highly recommend staying in Casa Chicharra while in Sayulita!

A perfect get away
We had an awesome week at Casa Chicarra in Sayulita. The property fully exceeded expectations (even nicer than it looks in the photos). A quick walk up a hill from Sayulita town - far enough away from the town center to be quiet in the evenings. The house and garden were super beautiful and taken care of - and the hosts were so friendly and fast to communicate with, and kept in contact throughout the week in case we needed anything. We will for sure be returning.

Above and Beyond!
I do not even know where to begin. The place, Casa Chicarra itself was just as pictured. Private, cutely designed and decorated, made even nicer with Ashley’s beautiful art hung around the house. The location was perfect, a fast and easy walk to the town center and the beach and on a quiet, quiet and quaint little block so that you aren’t kept up all night with the partying downtown. We mainly walked everywhere but got a golf cart the last few days to explore more. We came for a week to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and I asked Ashley if she could have some balloons and a chilled bottle of champagne ready for when we got there and she said absolutely. My boyfriend was so surprised and it was such a great addition, thanks to Ashley! Ben and Ashley made sure our stay was memorable and they communicated so well the whole time Their response time was immediate. They arranged roundtrip Airport transportation that included a bank stop for money exchange and a stop at a grocery store. I recommend staying at Casa Chicharra 10/10!! Sayulita was amazing and we loved our stay so much! Thank you Ashley and Ben for everything. We are absolutely going to return!

Amazing experience!!
I do not reven know where to begin. Casa Chicarra in Sayulita itself was just as pictured. Private, so cute, great design and beautifully decorated, complete with Ashley’s beautiful art hung around the house. Location was so convienent, a short walk to town center and the beach and on a quiet, safe little block so that you aren’t kept up all night with the partying downtown. We walked the first couple of days. We rented a golf cart for the remaining days to get around Sayultia.
We came for a week to celebrate my partners birthday in Sayulita. I asked Ashley if she could have some balloons and a chilled bottle of champagne ready for our arrival. She had it all ready for us! My boyfriend was surprised and it was such a kind touch, thanks to Ashley!
Ben and Ashley made sure our stay in Sayulita was memorable and were super communicative from beginning to end. Their response time was almost instant.
They arranged transport to and from the Airport in Puerto Vallarta that included a bank stop for money exchange as a well as a grocery store run.

My name is Ashley and my husband Benjamin and I own Casa Chicharra and look after several other properties here in Sayulita. Ben and I met while I was visiting with some girlfriends for a bachelorette weekend. Ben was the host at our rental house- the rest is history! Ben is from Nayarit originally and has been working as a property manager for almost ten years. I am originally from Los Gatos, California and before I moved to Sayulita I was a middle school teacher in San Jose. I am also a monotype printmaker. Ben and I purchased our casa in 2019, on Valentine's Day and began renovations. We added a pool, new exterior windows, stylish furnishings, custom art, and a second full bathroom. A few months after the pool was installed, we were sitting outside admiring the valley when we heard the first cicadas calling the rain. That's when we decided to name the house Casa Chicharra, or cicada house, after the little insects that begin their call prior to the rains. After naming the house, we looked into the symbolism of cicadas and they represent personal transformation and love later in life. It is our hope that our guests who stay at our little casa also benefit from the tranquility and peace the casa brings.
