Sayulita Life gives back to the community every month by donating $5,000 to a local cause or charity in need. Sayulita Life has chosen Mar y Vida annual surf camp as the recipient this month.

Mar y Vida is a local non-profit summer surf camp, created by local surfer Risa, Centro Creativo and Centro de reciclaje.

The organization was created 5 years ago to give back to our Sayulita community and their children. Mar y Vida is a free camp offered to a select group of around 12-15 local kids that show promise in school and their local Sayulita community. The surf camp has a fun-filled itinerary including surf lessons, daily lunches provided by local businesses such as Don Pedros , La Rustica, and a sailing tour donated by local catamaran tour company Ally-Cat as well as art classes, bird watching, hikes, gift bags, and more.

Bahia de Bandera's lifeguards also provide Ocean Safety courses such as CPR and basic first aid. The camp provides an array of activities to ensure the children stay active, entertained, and engaged all the while creating a fun educational experience.

Sayulita Life’s $5000 donation will go towards the activities, rash guards, food, materials, and the sailing tour. Last year, all the leftover donation funds went towards school supplies and backpacks for the kids. Additional donations would be much appreciated. You can donate here or email Risa directly surfitout@icloud.com.

Mar y Vida Surf Camp aims to reward hard work and good humans in the making with an experience that inspires them to keep making their mark in the world.
